Ring O Bells Fish Bar in Rotherham

We visited The Ring o Bells on the 28th May 2025 .l can honestly say the meal was excellent one of the best we have had there. The service was good very friendly and polite staff. We would highly recommend it.

Honestly it was a microwave dinner been better if going to McDonald's

The staff, especially Natalie are friendly and provide excellent customer service. Really helpful and the food is good too!

Visited this great pub for some dinner food was beautiful hot and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We ordered using the app was very easy to use and everything just gets brought straight to the table. The beer garden to the rear of the pub is very nice has a TV outside for all the live sports

Visited on Friday evening the staff were friendly and created a great atmosphere. We ordered BOGOF burgers which were very tasty fresh and hot. Definitely would recommend

We had our son’s 21st meal here, Ben especially went out of his way to accommodate our requests we had. The whole staff on Easter Sunday were especially polite. We came today for a small meal for my husbands birthday and again all staff were polite, kind and helpful. Would recommend as a go to for the family,

Wow what a experience I had here the come into the pub for some drinks for the hot weather the tall man with blonde hair walked off didn’t even say a word I had to wait 8 mins for someone to come serve me the person who I think is the manager is rude and obnoxious

Came in with a party of six. We all ordered a different meal off the main menu. The service was amazing. Ben and his team couldnt do enough to make sure our visit was an enjoyable one. Food was cooked and presented to a high standard and we were all more than happy with it. Will definately be returning

Shocking experience, we had a pre booked reservation for a 50th birthday, when people started to arrive, the skinny barman came over and told us they had a major gas leak and the whole place had to be evacuated, this turned out to be an absolute lie as the bar carried on serving and nobody else was evacuated only us, they were either under staffed or not enough food, if that was the case, just tell the truth instead of making up such a pathetic lie!

Just been for a last minute meal on Mother’s Day. After thinking we had booked a table online, it turned out we actually hadn’t (our own fault). The lad behind the bar was very accommodating and made sure he could find us a table. We were told that there may be a wait on the food as they were busy. We ordered on the app and all the food arrived within 15 minutes. Absolutely gorgeous food, all staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommend the Korean chicken burger and the nachos sharer. Brilliant experience will definitely be back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went out Sunday after working on garden all day.first time been to ring o bells.was very well looked after by Ben & Chloe. Great food.place was really clean and nothing was too much trouble. Will be back !! Thanks

£14 for a piece of fish? I wanted a fillet of haddock or cod, not a breeding pair of sturgeon to farm for caviar! I had to go online to check out the prices of their competitors and wasn't surprised to find most were charging half the price ... this is Rotherham, not Chatsworth!

Wow this pub has gone downhill. Pulled into car park 2 staff was in smoking area i thought nothing of it. But then i walked in to be stood at bar 10mins with no one behind bar serving. eventually the 2 that was smoking walked in & with no appology one said what you having which i thought was quite rude. So i ordered drinks & went to find a table. Ordered food for me & family & my God it was shocking all tasted bland nothing like I've previously had there before all the family said it was horrible. I did eat most of it anyway cause I was starving & didn't want to have it re-made for it to come out shite again. So I thought I'd tell the other girl that was previously in the smoking area & now clearing the table that the food wasn't very nice at all for her to just totally ignore me. So I told her again & she just blanked me. I've used this pub regularly for years but I won't be going back anytime soon. service is shocking. All other greenking pubs are miles ahead but sadly this one has died

Always dead friendly staff. Generally a busy pub with food orders and punters grabbing a beer but always served with a smile. We ordered 5 kids meals.

Fantastic food, we had a great time

What a wonderful "chippy" !!!! The staff are always really friendly and the food they serve is cooked well and really tasty and "moreish" ..... Wish though that they would expand a little with regards to their kebabs .... In addition to their regular kebab meat it would be really good to have offered chicken shawarma and chicken tikka , with a choice of a mixed kebab served with tasiki sauce , yum yum ...

Visited as part of a Wake, food provided was good and there was plenty of it. The space provided for the group was also large and clean. Baby changing is available but only in the women's and after attempting it I gave up and used the boot of my car. Changing table has been crammed into a normal sized women's toilet cubicle without much thought given to the space needed, there wasn't much room for getting stuff out of the changing bag with both the table and the toilet in the cubicle. The table also blocks the exit of the cubicle once it is down so forget leaving in a hurry in an emergency. Other than this we had no issues but it seemed like family was an afterthought not the priority.

Hi guy's , your "chippy" is without doubt one of thee best and I'm sure there are many who would agree... I had a friendly debate with a friend of mine yesterday who rightly so corrected me with regards to your menu . The word "scallop" should say " Yorkshire Fish Cake” . Apparently the scallop is one slice of potato, lightly battered . Kind regards, a regular..

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN TOWN WITHOUT DOUBT. THE FISH IS COOKED TO PERFECTION. SERVICE IS GOOD AND PRETTY QUICK. THE DONAR KEBABS ARE GOOD TOO.

Great steaks ,cooked as requested. Everything presented well and quickly. Staff very pleasant and helpful . Only this I would sat is that the bed of peppers and onions are obviously frozen and have no taste and are watery which takes away from the rest of the good food.

Food was ok . Hunters chicken could done with more sauce not much bacon either. Most places usually give you the sauce in a gravy jug too not here. Fries were ok not too my liking but not worse Kids meal's sausage and chips and sausage and mash. The mash didn't look nicest but my boy enjoyed it so can't been too bad . Chips well they was fries didn't look best but wasn't worst my eldest didn't eat many. Gravy came five mins into eating there meal so not ideal but didn't get it. Service was fast, however I asked for a cherry shot and got vanilla shot but i didn't correct the lady when she brought it so she didn't get chance to resolve the issue. The place looks run down from outside in my opinion and similar inside if I'm honest. Staff was lovely and polite. Ice-cream for kid's was brought in goodly timely manager. Staff when arrived was at side of building near a car looked be smoking/vaping not best view really but wouldn't stop us visiting We got the £15 family deal which took us some time figure out because we hadn't added dessert it was costing more ,after trail and error we figured out what we done wrong. Maybe because better explained on app. Also shame don't get drink with adults Meal on Deal but can understand with prices Smelt very much of ale but that can't always be helped Could there be improvements yes but overall wasn't bad ,I would recommend and would visit again if passing but I wouldn't come in again if wasn't passing.

Walked in to see the male bar staff sat with his feet up at the bar vaping!!!. Food was disgusting, chicken was so overcooked it couldn't be cut was completely inedible. Garlic ciabatta bread was soggy and wet. Vegetable lasagne was almost raw, the pasta was doughy, wasn't cooked enough. Jacket potato was rock hard on the inside. I will never go there again !!!!

Ate here last night, food was basic, went to eat salad off plate and change my mind when I saw it's was old!!! Realised chutney was missing from our cluck and cheese sharer plate. Took ages for plates to be took away ended up with starter plates on table while eating mains!! As for loos they were unhygienic and when me and wife went to loo we had to hold door for each other as it didn't lock!! Pre booked table and they set us up in front of DJ so conversation was difficult! Won't be booking for a large party again!!

The food we ordered was very good but there was a lot of meals on the menu that wasn't available including the dessert we wanted.

We came up for food as a 4 all thought it was beautiful, me and my partner had steak sizzler came cooked to perfection thank you to the chef Danny! Was searved food by alfie lovely and kind young lad! We are super full, great value for money thank you guys!

Probably the best pub in Rotherham. Food smelled and looked lovely.

I always try to be fair when leaving a review. After all, this is purely my personal experience. Others may fare better. Think twice about a family gathering of say, more than 6 people. They simply cannot cope with numbers in excess of this. The food was appalling (I'm being generous here). It comes out in stages, and is generally cold upon arrival. From the ridiculously excessive menu, I chose the all day breakfast, wrongly thinking the 'chefs' couldn't mess it up too badly, but how wrong I was....it consisted of 2 crozzled rashers of bacon, 2 cold hash browns, an anaemic fried egg and half a plate of undercooked micro mushrooms with a side of mushy peas in lieu of the missing baked beans and tomatoes which they seemed to have ran out of. This, at least, provided some much needed humour to the proceedings. I'm not keen on having a go at the staff, they're doing their best, and no doubt working hard in challenging circumstances, but I would refuse to take most of this food out of the kitchen, as it clearly isn't good enough. The management need to take a long, hard look at themselves. This is the latest in a long line of similar experiences, and I'm afraid I'll have to politely decline to attend the next family gathering if it's held here..... 😅 (regrettably, no photos)

Visited for Christmas dinner. The atmosphere was great, the staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. The food was cooked to perfection, and service was superb. Thank you, we will be booking again in the future.

Decided to go here with work for Christmas lunch and to be honest the food was terrible if you like everything processed then this is the place for you. Rubbish place avoid unless your desperate.

Last time I was here I wasn't impressed with the food, this time I had a Korean burger and really enjoyed it. Called today 4th December had another burger and enjoyed.

Rob was absolutely bang on!! Every time me and my mrs are in here he’s absolutely brilliant!! Every time he drops a drink/food off he always clears empty’s and that’s always been a big bear of mine!! Brill food for the price and brilliant service!! 💪🏽 props to rob💯

Cracking good deals on most days of the week, nice atmosphere, really friendly staff, never had a reason to complain about the food quality.

Had Curry Wednesday, ordered upgrade curry, when curry came it was small plate, no upgrade, went to question this, but bar lady put small through so obviously didnt listen to correct order, disappointed with meal as a whole, rice and curry not hot. Service was not as expected as no staff did a checkback.

So comfortable and friendly, feels like home everytime I go,usually with grandkids great staff.

Fantastic service very poor food especially the mixed grill ,, not even proper chicken it was reformed all very lightly cooked was not nice at all ,,, but the service from the young lady behind the bar was 100/% spot on

Wen to this establishment with my partner n my daughter. Amazing is all I can say. The staff was brilliant the food was fantastic very welcoming atmosphere only thing I can say is bring back Diane sauce lol. We will definetly be returning. This is actually one of our favourite pubs to eat at
