Great food and great service. We go almost every Sunday for curry and have never had a bad meal. Staff are brilliant and service is always quick.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and staff are so friendly. My friends and I make it a weekly tradition to come to Rimjhims, we love it!

I recently visited Rimjhim in Wimborne with a friend, and we had an absolutely fantastic evening. Specialising in authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine, the restaurant truly delivered on both flavour and quality. We started with poppadoms and then enjoyed the dumplings, which were beautifully meaty and full of flavour. For mains, I opted for the tikka masala, which was perfectly balanced and rich, while my friend chose the Gurkha’s Revenge—a spicier dish that he absolutely loved. We shared the pilau rice and naan, both of which complemented our dishes perfectly. A special shoutout to the owner and head waiter, who were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. Their hospitality added a personal touch to an already delightful experience. The restaurant was nearly full on a Tuesday evening, which speaks volumes about its popularity—booking in advance is definitely recommended. The meal itself was exceptional value for money, and Rimjhim is a must-visit if you’re in the area. Highly recommended!

Rimjhims has become a weekly tradition for me and my friends. We make it a point to try a different curry every time we visit, and I can say I've never had a dish I didn’t love. The variety on the menu is amazing, proper tasty nepalese food. The staff at Rimjhims are always welcoming and attentive, making us feel like regulars. The atmosphere is normally very cozy and relaxed, and can be quite lively on a saturday evening. perfect for a catch-up with friends. If you’re looking for consistently great food, friendly service, and a bit of variety each time you visit, Rimjhims is the place. We’ll keep coming back, week after week!

We arrived around 1 0 minutes before our scheduled time of 8pm. The restaurant was extremely busy and staff were courteous and friendly and we were offered drinks whilst we waited. We stood in the queue and chatted amongst ourselves and the other people who were now queuing out the door whilst we waited for our table. We were seated around 25 minutes later, no sooner had we sat down we noticed a bunch of obnoxious Muppets abusing the manager after being asked to vacate their table. They were shouting abuse at him, taking photos and live streaming him on to social media. Their booking had been for 6.30PM and it was now 8.20PM (not 7.30 as they wrote in their review) they seemed to be intending to spend the whole evening in the restaurant even though they had long since finished their food. Our food was amazing, it arrived quickly, was delicious and there was plenty of it, it was also excellent value for money. I would go as far to say probably the best curry I've ever had. I will definitely be returning!

Manager/owner told my 81 yr old mother to “f.. off” and gave her (and my 80yr old mother-in-law) the middle finger when she complained about being pressurised to leave the table 7.30pm - 1 hour after we arrived. We booked a table for 5 at 6.30pm. We spent c£160 plus a £20 tip. After 1hr 15mins at our table and settling the bill and tip we were approached every 5mins to leave the table. We felt so uncomfortable we had to leave, notwithstanding our taxi was not for another 20minutes. If you want to be chased off your table 1 hr after your reservation after spending good money on two bottles of wine, many other drinks and lots of food, and want your parents to be abused and told to “f-off”, this is the place to go. Can not advise anyone to go to this place.

Delicious curry, one of the best I have had in a while! Very friendly hosts too. Naan bread was light and fresh and chicken madras was a good heat.

Visited on a weekday evening when down overnight for work. The staff were friendly and service efficient. Good quality food and fair prices for the area. I’ll certainly come back.

I travel to Wimborne from Northampton almost every week and have done so for the past 12 months or so. I always eat at Rimjhim when I can, the food is always 1st class especially the Kathmandu Lamb, the staff are friendly, talkative and welcoming. This is a busy, popular restaurant with Nepalese specialties, I have eaten in many Nepalese restaurants all over the world and this is by far the best. Not always easy to get a table because it is so popular (They always manage to squeeze me in even though I never book!!) I will continue to make Rimjhim my go to restaurant in Wimborne for the foreseeable future.

We thought we'd come here as we haven't been for ages and it was always very goods. This time however, we left very disappointed. It was very very noisy in there, so much so that we had to shout to be heard and the food was very bland as though they had forgotten to put any spices in at all. Sorry, but we won't be coming back, we should have stuck to our local Chutney's n Shaftesbury which is amazing.

Came here for my sons 32nd birthday, arrived after 6pm on a Sunday evening, no welcome just shown to a table. My so ordered a coke, it was flat, when asked for it to be replaced was told " well it was OK when k gave it you. The coke was replaced with another film the same Plastic bottle of coke behind the bar. So was never drank. We were not made to feel welcome at all. My son is a goth with Impeccable manners , we witnessed other diners being welcomed with enthusiasm and politeness. The food especially the goan fish curry,with the fish being stated as " tilapia" was not tilapia, iv cooked that fish so many times. I paid the bill but dud comment again on the coke being flat, but was still charged £4.25. Do I recommend this rest? No.

True Indian Cuisine. We had a lovely Chicken Tikka Masala, with a lovely sauce. The Lamb Pathia was delicious. Would recommend a visit if your on the area. Great staff very attentive

Who do the staff members of this restaurant think they are in rushing paying customers through their meal?? Being stared at whilst eating their average curries and being presented with the bill an hour into our meal without even asking for it? Wtf …. It’s not sour grapes either to honestly state the place needs a thorough deep clean

Food was okay - but doesn't make up for how grumpy the staff are, and the fact that the restaurant itself should be shut down and deep cleaned. What a dump.

We went for a meal on a Thursay evening and it's a good thing we booked as the restaurant filled up very quickly after 19:30. We were greeted by three very friendly gentlemen and taken to a comfortable table . The evening was very chilly, but the restaurant was lovely and warm. We had three different starters. The monkfish was the winner. Three different main courses. Lamb, chicken, and fish. They were all delicious, but we all thought there could have been more meat and not quite so much sauce. The sauces all looked very much the same but were very different in flavour. One rice was sufficient between 3 and 1 delicious garlic naan. I was disappointed as I'd saved a space for desert and was looking forward to Gulab Jamon (?) which wasn't available. We love this restaurant , the tasty food and the friendly staff

Rushed service. Table booked for 6.45pm, waiter tapping the bill at 7.50pm. Never felt so rushed at a restaurant. Absolutely appalling. This was for a birthday meal with friends and a complete waste of time. I will not be returning and I will be warning others over social media groups of wimborne and surrounding not to bother unless you wanted a rushed meal.

Arrived and everything was going well. Table booked for 6.30/6.45. We felt rushed by waiters to get on with it but at no time were we told we had to be out by 8. Bill arrived even though we didn’t ask for it and waiter came back to table and was tapping the bill with his fingers. They just wanted us out so next people could sit down. We thought we would have a lovely long time to catch up with each other but no home by 8.30 feeling very deflated, it was my birthday too hurrah not!

Was catching up with friends and reserved a table weeks ago. Walked in and the guy behind the bar seemed vague and almost like they didnt have a booking for us. They pushed 2 tables together to make space. Ordering of food ok. Food was excellent but thats where the experience ended. We finished our meal and were asked if we wanted desserts. Left a couple of menu. As with friends we were chatting but every couple of minutes we were asked do you want desserts as though trying to hurry us along. Decided we would just like coffee or tea which was on the menu. We were then told they couldnt make them as the kitchen was too busy...what restaurant doesnt serve hot drinks at end of meal. Then 2 minutes later the bill was put on the table without us asking. We carried on chatting with staff walking past looking at us. Then the person from behind came up, tapped the bill and said 'Could you look at this' I asked if we were being thrown out? He said 'No but want you to pay the bill'. Never have I been out for a meal where restaurant was so busy they couldn't serve refreshments or virtually been pressured to pay the bill. Nothing like putting a dampner on our evening.

We visited Rhimjims last night for the first time after living in the area for 5 years - we just never got around to visiting before! We were welcomed like old friends. The service from the helpfull, welcoming & knowledgable waiter was exceptional - we had the best evening! The food was beautiful & just a little bit different. I particularly loved the momo starter. Very rude poor service from waiter who just laughed at us when we advised that our curries were cold. The waiter then proceeded to put his fingers in Bombay potatoes and tell us that they were hot and not particularly raw. After trying to explain that the waiter couldn’t taste what we were eating with his folk he then proceeded to rationally insult us -to which we requested the bill and left immediately without finishing our food. NEVER TO RETURN VERY RUDE

After reading many good reviews for Rimjhim myself and my wife ate there for the first time tonight. Unfortunately we felt a little underwhelmed on leaving. - despite booking fairly early we were standing for a considerable time in a queue waiting for a table whilst people were eating, it felt like we were hurrying up existing diners so we could claim they’re table - the mains mostly consisted of sauce with very little core ingredient and the portions were a little on the small side anyhow - on finishing you could tell the waiters were a little edgy and wanted us to vacate the table asap so people in the queue could be seated at our table. ……. Dining out shouldn’t be rushed, the restaurant was very plain without any effort made at all, I’ve had far better meals in Indian/Nepalese restaurants for sure.

We came to the restaurant last year in August and loved it..our recent visit. We went away disappointed. It was the £16 seafood starter. It was worth probably £7. Supposed to be for 2 . The portion size was small. The squid absolutely disgusting. Chewy and horrible. The prawns were dry, the salmon was ok had a nice flavour. Even the front of house said , oh you didn't eat the squid. I said, yes it wasn't very nice. Was not even offered a discount. And what you get for £16 is shameful. I actually would be embarrassed to serve this and charge £16. The rest of the food was good. Papadoms nice, Gurkha curry, nice, rice nice, nan bread nice. Overall it was good but the sea food platter for 2, overpriced and quality was very poor Sorry guys but you need to improve this.

No parking available at the restaurant. Good welcome and immediately shown to our reserved table for seven persons. Suberb menu, plenty of choice for everybody. Attentive service, excellent food and all keenly priced. The restaurant was full and as tables emptied they refilled. Clearly they are doing plenty of things right.

This is probably my second review but the food is so good it deserves it !! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding. We move around the country quite a bit but always come back to visit my husbands parents and whenever we do the only nonnegotiable is a visit to the amazing Indian restaurant while we are here!!

The best curry we have had in a very long time,subtle fresh flavours, husbands was hot but had lots of deep spicy layers of garlic, chilli .

Popped in early as the restaurant just opened, so very quiet. Service was prompt and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Fantastic variety of flavours, with some really distinctive tastes and without overpowering each dish with chillies. We particularly enjoyed the chilli bangoor pork starter and the lamb achari and herby chicken main dishes, but there was no weak link in all our choices.

Always great pickles/papadums and excellent Lamb(tender...) Madras! Attentive and pleasant service and we'll be a regular here when we move shortly!

Stayed in Wimborne for a holiday and visited twice in the 10 days. Excellent curry and service. The restaurant is small and both nights extremely noisy, everyone was happy to be there.

Visited here whilst on holiday in the area. Tuesday night meant a 15% discount and the food was lovely. Nicely presented and tasted great. There's only a few tables so even on a Tuesday night we were glad we booked. Highly recommended.

Wednesday evening, early, glad we booked as it filled up very quickly. Having now eaten we understand why, the food is amazing. We had a Kathmandu Lamb and a Passanda Lamb, both hearty, succulent, tender and delicious. Definately book again next time in Wimborne.
