Food was great but delivery was TERRIBLE 35min late. It's putting us off reordering again from JustEast which is a shame

Awful sauce overflowing into the bag 2 curries all leaked with about 4 bite of the driest chicken ever didn’t know chicken could be so dry last 2 times from here have been poor.

highly recommend this indian, get it nearly every week, wouldn't go anywhere else. tried a few other places in the past, none of which are better than this place. quality food everytime and always comes on time and always hot. even ordered 10 minute's before closing time before and they still delivered me some quality food. most places wouldn't of even deliver if you ordered 10 minute's before closing time. reccomend everytime!!

Recently ordered from them and after 1 hours wait order was cancelled 5 mins after the later delivery time with no explanation

Great food, good prices bit on the smaller side portion wise but probably one of the best takeaways I've had

late. app said delivered and was not for long time after. called restaurant and they didn't understand what we were saying. got wrong order 3 times when we were telling them exactly what we wanted. Delivery driver was understanding, kind, considerate. Restaurant was terrible.

That was awesome, many thanks only down side was driver dropped the salad at the door and no poppadom.

All food we received was heavily spiced and had a significant degree of heat to it. That included the Onion Bhaji, Chicken Chat, Chicken Tikka Masala and the Rogan. It was almost as if the same pan and utensils had been used to make all the food. It is never like this and was a real disappointment, we ended up throwing quite a bit of food away tonight. Food was really poor, worst we've had from here. We won't be returning in a hurry. Sadly, you've lost a loyal customer

Don’t judge a book by its cover!!!, I have driven past here many times over the years but never thought to order a meal from here ever. However as a regular Indian diner this meal exceeded my expectations and definitely will be ordering from them again ☺️

Food was fantastic although the chicken not as good as other curry houses nearby. The flavouring was great, just the texture of the chicken felt a bit off. Had saag paneer and aloo gobi as sides which were super tasty.

Chips were old and terrible refried for sure, pathia and bhuna sauce was lovely; but king prawn curry had two prawns in cut up small to look bigger wasn’t impressed with that and also never seen that in a curry before. Poppadoms tasted fresh

this is the second time. of ordering and I think this is the best indian food in colchester. u can tell its all freshly prepared and tastes excellent. my compliments to the chef. can't praise them enough.

Set meal for 1 was delicious, added a garlic naan, realised I then had enough food to feed my entire family for the whole weekend. Portion size is nuts I couldn’t even eat half of it, not complaining.

Food was largely good. There were missing items from our order (just sauces etc - nothing major but still). And it was half an hour late.

Order chicken korma and rice( amazing lots of chicken) but then I also ordered onion bhaji and sorry it was mostly batter mix inside( sorry) missed the onion in it

Food was delivered earlier than expected which is great. However, the food was very runny and oily and we also did not receive the popadoms we ordered and paid for. Overall very disappointed.

I ordered from this restaurant, and they didn't even even deliver my order and marked the order as delivered. Very poor service from the team. I will never order from this place again.

Food didn't taste nice, not the same usual quality

The curry was delicious, saag paneer was lovely. The onion bahjis were decent and had some flavour, most curry houses onion bahjis around here are bland. The samosas could've been a bit crispier, but overall a decent, well flavoured curry, and a great offer too!

The CHICKEN PIECES in the butter chicken curry were overcooked and DRY and STRINGY. and the CHIPS were so DRY like they been left to dry over night.. you couldn't tell that they were fried in oil, as they were so DRY like CARDBOARD. and definitely weren't freshly cooked, as they were shrivelled UP. the oinon barges wasn't fresh neither, as they were dry and Very CHEWY... THE ONLY thing I liked, was the SAUCE ON the curry. shame the chicken in the curry was dry though.. never again....

Absolutely disgusting food! Stank of sweaty socks, but thought would be ok. Rice was hard, naan was hard, the chaat and Bombay was so vile I was literally throwing up all night. Never using this place again!

I had the watery butter chicken. The curry had a bit of flavour. If I had to give out of 10, it would be a 5.5. However, my daughter's chicken masala tikka was so watery & looked like the curry had been made with gravy granules. It wasn't nothing like chicken masala tikka!! She left the whole curry. We certainly won't order from there again. When you consider what they charge?

First time we’ve ordered from here, food was excellent, delivered on time and plenty warm enough with good sized portions. The Madras had the perfect spice level and tasted superb. We’ll definitely use Rice n Spice again.

First time using (eat out), order placed before opening time for a 5.30 delivery where you’d expect a few opening time problems. Food was worth the wait, we’d gone off piste from our usual hot n spicey order to a cooler meal for guests and was pleasantly surprised. Shashlik, tikka massala, etc were all very nice.

Very nice food but maybe potions of fries could be more for the price they're sold.

The lamb in lamb tikka was like leather couldn’t eat it .

As usual we ordered Onion Bhaji, however this time this food which has no heat had a spiced heat about it. It was manageable but unexpected. Other than this the food was good.

Like trying something new the Gurkali Chicken Tikka was really good I would but this again!

Gutted because it's usually very nice. Mixed Grill had no prawns. King Prawn Biryani had 6 prawns! Cashew and saffron rice was not as described, too sweet. Delivery was 20mins late

The food was truly amazing. I have spent time in India and I know how good traditional food should taste. I ordered from here for the first time last night and we were all very pleasantly surprised. So glad to have discovered this little gem of a takeaway!

Wanted to try here as the reviews seemed quite good. However, food arrived cold, the bigger potatoes in the sag aloo were hard, the chicken pathia was nice enough to eat but probably the least nicest one I've had. The sag aloo wasn't to my taste it tasted of some type of dry spice/seasoning. Rice was alright and nann was lovely. The delivery driver was really friendly. Don't think I'd get from here again sorry, I'll stick to my local Indian in future.

Consistently good takeaway food. The wide variety of paneer curries are an excellent choice for vegetarians.

Order was delivered originally on time, but one of the mains was the wrong order, which resulted in a phone call and a further 20-30min wait by this time the other items were no longer hot. Food was average tasting, but you got a large amount for your money. A little bit of a disappointment, but happy with the restaurant arranging for the correct order to be delivered back so easily.

I received the wrong food and when trying to contact them to get it taken back, the phone number wasn't working! So I was stuck with lots of meat food as a vegetarian that I couldn't eat and it means someone else received my order.

In general, the food here is absolutely delicious — always hot and so aromatic. I usually eat here once a month and generally go take out but it’s always been a great experience. Unfortunately there was an entire section offering each of the mains with jackfruit or vegan meat alternatives and now there’s no other alternatives for vegans aside from generic vegetables in curry which not a lot of us enjoy. The paneer was great for vegetarians though. Hope they bring it back as I loved eating here before they removed the options.

The quality seems to be going down hill. It's been our favourite curry house for a good number of years...but the quality of the food is going down hill. The lamb seems to be of low quality and the curry is watery and not full of flavour. Something has changed and not a good chance.

Honestly not worth the money. Everything tasted like they poured heap amount of sugar in it. Way too sweet for a savoury dish. Naan was cold and dry. Really disappointed.

The kebab roll was hard and uneatable.
