Rice king in Cherwell

We had the £10 meal for one which was actually more than enough for two. However, the egg fried rice was really sticky and barely contained any egg. The sweet and sour sauce was bright orange and tasted vile. The chicken in all cases (the chicken balls, satay skewers and chicken with mushrooms) had a really odd slimy texture and was chewy. I only ate the rice because I was hungry. I won’t be eating here again.

Amazing portions, great service and lovely food. I'd have given 5/5 if I had more sauce as it felt a bit lacking. Really nice though and would definitely go back

We heard a new takeaway had opened so gave it a try. The Staff member was pleasant, shop was clean and just the right amount of time waiting for our food to be cooked fresh. Portion sizes appeared acceptable but then the issue started. We had chicken szechuan where we can only describe the 'chicken' as a rubbery inedible matter, we have no idea what it was but all went in the bin. We also had chicken balls which were also very chewy so it appears the takeaway is purchasing cheap wholesale items of the lowest quality The chow mein was acceptable but found afterwards that it appeared to have a lot of salt in it as we kept on drinking lots of water. A disappointing experience so cannot recommend it so will go back to our regular one
