Food not hot. Lumps in everything. Service slow. Prices high. Huge gaps between courses. Our coffee was ordered but we had to remind the Staff to bring it to the table. My fellow diner found two hard lumps of carrot at the bottom of the bowl the tepid tomato soup was served in

3 of us were staying for 2 days golf and had taken a play and stay package that included breakfast. I think we were the only ones staying at this time, so breakfast wasn’t crowded. There is no menu - you are offered a fried breakfast. My friends had the fried breakfast which looked ok and they seemed to enjoy it. I just had toast. The cook was pleasant and even offered to come in on his night off to make dinner for us - but we had made plans to eat elsewhere. I would say the food is functional and it wouldn’t be my first choice.

For the third time in the last year we brought our group to Rhos Golf Club for a visit - the first was just for coffee and drinks, the second for a New Year event and yesterday the third visit was for an evening meal for our walking group. The first thing that strikes us every time if the friendliness of the manager(s) and staff who always make us welcome. Sorry I don't know all your names but Ian and Sian (especially), Colin, Jacob and all the others go out of their way to make us welcome. The view over the course is spectacular and many of our group commented how clean the facilities were. Sky TV showing football and cricket available as well as a well stocked bar. An ideal place for a social gathering and very reasonably priced accommodation for those who might want to stay after an event. Can I just say that the one negative comment recently posted (the first one star rating in eight years) is completely out of order - yes they were disappointed with the food but no need to be insulting about the rest of the place and give inaccurate criticism.

Visited with family for a weekend away, rang in the daytime to specify on what food we was after to which we was told yes they do. Only to find out no they don't when we arrived and seated. The place stinks and not just the choice of food. Who has previously rated it so high??

My father-in-law died recently and were attended the "wake" at the Rhos Golf Club. Whilst not a 5 star venue we were made to feel very much at home and provided with an excellent and appropriate buffet with teas and coffees ..... there was no pressure from staff to leave and the food supply seemed endless. So thank you very much for making a sad day end in such a way ... David and Chris

We were renting a house just up the road during the Xmas period, and decided to pop into the Golf Club for breakfast. Although we found the venue to be very tired looking we decided to stop and see what the breakfast was like. Unfortunately, it wasn't really any better than the place it was cooked in. We thought it was quite pricey for what it was, and I did have to complain about the amount of white brine which was on the bacon. A nice touch was that the chef did come out to enquire if we were enjoying our breakfast so we were able to tell her about the shortcomings of the horrible looking white stuff on the bacon. However, the sausages were very tasty and everything else was cooked satisfactorily.

We often call in while we walk the coastline. Staff are always welcoming and you do t have to be a member. Not the usual heirs and graces you can experience in some golf club establishments and the void is goid value for money

Have not visited here for a while for food. Was told they have a new chef so i thought I would give it a try. Wow what a difference food was presented lovely. I had the homemade burger which was so tasty with homemade chips, salad and coleslaw. Other meals that came out looked just as good. I will be returning here again and would recommend here as I was not disappointed.

Sunday 2nd of July and close to 40 of us gathers here for a family get together, a few drinks and the carvery. We think a breakdown in communication as we did not have a room to ourselves but ended up on 4 different tables! The food was great and the service from the waiting on staff and from behind the bar. Good atmosphere, comfy and spacious, parking might be a challenge as it is a very popular venue.

Warm and friendly sort of pub, with loads of seating room in the hall. Nice place to while away the hours having a drink, if your'e inclined to do so. Found the food at a recent visit very basic and un-appealing, although I am not sure if the club do the food or contract it out.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch, arrived at 12.15. Chose to have the carvery, the meat and vegetables were cooked okay but everything was warm including the gravy!! Decided not to have a dessert. As this was the start of a lunchtime we were surprised that nothing was hot. This was our one and now only visit.

Booked at short notice after another venue let me down and what a blessing. Staff were beyond helpful. Venue perfect. Had a fabulous night, everyone enjoyed the night. Food served in a separate room which was great. Buffet packages available to suit your budget. Bar prices reasonable. Overnight accommodation if you need it. Have been back since and will continue too. Thanks everyone!

We held a small family function here. The buffet was excellent value and there was a lot of food left over although everyone ate plenty. Unlimited tea and coffee were included and drinks were available from the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room has fine views across the golf course to the welsh hills. Thoroughly recommended.

I am a local to the area and had heard that the Golf Club has recently started doing carvery food so went to try it out with my mum and husband on Sunday. Please please do not waste your money by eating here. The golf might be good, but the restaurant is really not.

waitresses were useless busybodies plenty of tables free, noone there to seat you so after we settled in on our own one of them got all uppity about it - if they were there in the 1st place doing her job that hassle would not have happened - we just left and will not return - same happened to friends of ours too

You must go here as it is a little out of the way, yet really nice food with nice attentive, helpful staff. Go along Station Road to get to it, or cross the bridge from the railway station.

4 out of 6 self serve machines broken. Terrible queue! Not up to standard. Someone should take orders manually. Expect better.

Layout again was a problem just like the zoo itself for people in wheelchairs due to Buggies and layout of tables etc. Hot food was limited menu a little pricey. My personal opinion maybe have somewhere for buggy's to go outside . And re think inside furniture layout

Visiting Brown's bar and grill every weekend is the highlight of our week. My husband and I always have food here. The freshly battered fish, chips and mushy peas are great. The carvery on Sunday is the best I've ever had. I really just wished there were more choice for desserts. The management and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. Keep up the great work you do as we do appreciate it.
