Went with friends for dinner to this delightful small restaurant run by husband Jordan (the chef) and wife Kerris (the waitress). We had an excellent evening, the meal was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. Would recommend a visit.

Our first visit to Lostwithiel and this restaurant. Absolutely loved it! Service and food both outstanding, what a lovely couple! Couldn't finish my main course, but somehow managed a desert! Lovely place, lovely people, highly recommend!

Brilliant as always. We haven't been here for ages and have totally missed this wonderful dining experience with the best pan-fried plaice that I've had for years. Jordan and kerris are wonderful host.

After being away from Cornwall for 30 years, really enjoying falling in love with the County again and exploring great places to eat too. Lostwithiel really is a lovely village with so much to offer, the Restormel Kitchen is no exception. We had been recommended by a few locals and thought we give it a go. Kerris, front of house, is warm & engaging, Jordon works his magic in the kitchen (a space I am very familiar with). Lovely paced evening, great selection of dishes which are reasonably priced and well presented, and nice wine & drinks list to enjoy too. Will certainly be back & can highly recommend.

5* review-Would 100% recommend. The tempura salmon starter was generous and tasty. The lemon sole and venison were cooked to perfection. Perfect friendly individualised service. We had crumble and bread and butter pudding with clotted cream and custard, both delicious. Wow! We will definitely return. Best fish I’ve had ever! Even the music was great. We had such a lovely evening. Check out the new website and book, you won’t regret it. Thank you Annabelle and team

Came here for afternoon tea and it was pure perfection. The location can't be beat and the food was incredible. But on top of it all the service was the best of any restaurant I've ever been at

Antonio and Sue were amazing. What an unusual find- really fantastic food with Portuguese flavor. Focus on locally caught fish cooked really well, without fuss but great flavours. Cannot recommend highly enough

The service was very slow. Food from order to table took 30 minutes. We tried to order soup of the day. Both options were not available. So we chose a crab sandwich with cucumber pickle and a fresh asparagus in mint pesto and pistachio + flatbread with wild garlic butter. The flatbread was good but arrived sometime after the asparagus dish. I had expected the asparagus to be cooked. However it was raw asparagus very finely sliced in pesto. The taste between cooked and raw is quite different. Personally I prefer the cooked flavour. The raw flavour is not as distinctive and there is only so much you can enjoy. The crab sandwich was a misnomer. The crab was spread between a section of baguette with a very hard crust and the cucumber pickle in slices also in between. It was incredibly difficult to eat and impossible to cut with an ordinary knife. We requested a sharper knife and this was supplied with the comment you had to expect this with a sourdough baguette. Really? and sourdough seemed unlikely ! Neither dishes were particularly enjoyable and jointly came to £43 which we thought expensive. Service charge was extra which we declined. We have been to Source before and the menu was excellent. This time it was very disappointing - something seems to have been lost in their sense of purpose and delivery.
