Missed lunch so stopped in just before closing on my way home to get a takeaway. Staff member was friendly and efficient; took a selection of amazingly filled sandwiches home. Really impressed especially with the freshly made bacon, brie and tomato sandwich. The chicken and chorizo sandwiches are in the fridge ready for today. Can't wait for lunch! Will be visiting again!

I was really disappointed, especially after seeing all the great reviews about the barista. It was the worst latte I've ever had, poorly made, and the staff weren't friendly at all.

I popped in to ask if there was any chance to buy ice creams for our children and the blonde waitress said very rudely ‘no, the till is off’, she then went back inside and proceeded to make fun of us to her colleagues, my mother then said to her ‘we were just asking nicely as it’s for the kids, there’s no need to be rude’ the waitress then stuck her middle fingers up at us! Extremely unprofessional and we will not be going here again!

I love the location, the coffee and the friendly barristers well done and thank you. Improvements that could made are 1.if I am eating in don't give me a paper cup, I hate the waste involved, especially as you claim to be environmentally consciou. 2. If I buy 2 coffees give me 2 stamps on my loyalty card, don't tell me the managers have said it's 1 stamp per transaction. That is tight and I don't get that from my favourite coffee shop

The servers are nice but can be slow as they don't multitask (for example, while waiting for the coffee machine, they could be taking the next persons order, but instead they just watch it pour), so it's not the ideal place to get a drink if you're in a rush, but the peanut butter and coffee shake is my kryptonite, so I'll keep going back despite my frustrations.

Echo AlexReindorp 2 star review of a month ago... owner answered her review suggesting empty Brie Toastie was mistake and she should have complained. Nope mine was identical to her pic at least it did not taste slightly dodgy like my partners Halloumi Cheese. Everything cut so thin as to be taking the P at £6.25 yes you can always complain (as the owner instructed AlexReindorp) to the 2x slightly bored students serving or simply avoid.

The coffee is nice and I like the look of the coffee shop but I have to say, was pretty disappointed in my Bacon and Brie toastie. I was so starving that I got through half of it before I realised I wasn't really eating anything other than bread... It cost £6.25.... I am not here for making life harder for hospitality staff, especially during lunch rush - and I doubt it's up to them what goes in the toasties! But I've got to say....even for Bristol....that's a pretty empty toastie.

Nice coffee and pain au chocolat. Was looking for a simple hot breakfast something like a bacon roll or scrambled egg. But the nearest they did was streaky bacon and brie didn't really appeal for breakfast. And what's wrong with good old fashioned cups. Not great to drink out a plastic cup.

Thank you for your reply yes I could see the prices but was expecting premium quality at them prices and as you can quite clearly see in other reviews coffees and food is brought to the table. The service here was great and my chorizo and Scrambled egg burrito was delicious! Sadly though I was overall disappointed with the visit. I love milkshakes and was really looking forward to one from here but paid £9 for two and watched the waitress fill the blender with milk and a few pumps of syrup - I expect at least a scoop of ice cream and some whipped cream and some drizzle for a £4.50 milkshake. Also the place appears to be aware of the sustainability concept, it at least has some funky bins to recycle the waste but we sat inside and all of our food was brought to the table with some packaging that needed binning, Alu foil on two burritos and a burger, paper wrap on the burritos, then a paper bag per burrito, the tacos were in a plastic box - it could all have come on 4 plates and needed no material to be scrapped. The layout is really weird too like you have to go next door to order a milkshake or coffee then come back inside to sit back at your table, not really very customer focused, especially with Covid, I was walking back-and-forwards past loads of strangers stood around and stood in doorways... I think they need to make some changes so, not recommended sadly.

Looked up best places for brunch in Bristol and this place came up. Was pleasant enough, food was ok, drinks were ok. Nothing to write home about. Come in a sunny day and sit outside for the view of the harbour. Decent service too. We had a brunch bowl, which although was pleasant enough, was served in takeaway kebab boxes with plastic cutlery and disposable cups for drinks. Was far from 5 stars, and definitely not one of the best spots in Bristol for brunch. Strange set up with everything separate, food and tea in one place, coffee in another, sandwiches in a different location again. Very strange. Would come back but won’t be rushing

Have previously had delicious coffee from the coffee shop here which was a pleasant experience, friendly staff and amazing location. Thought we would try the fish and chips next door yesterday as it was a sunny afternoon. Unfortunately it was let down by particularly grumpy front of house service. My friend went ahead of us and ordered 2 meals costing £14 in total, as he didn't have a loyalty card I asked him to you mine, he was given 1 stamp. I then went in after and ordered 2 meals and wasn't allowed to have the same loyalty card stamped. The food was good, chips had a good level of salt and crunchiness to them, however only given enough sauce for 4 of them. My friend did say the tartare sauce was the best he had ever had. Overall, could be improved with better customer service and more generous sauce portions.

Food is very good here and the portion sizes are decent and all cooked fresh. it’s worth calling to order as it does get busy and they only take cash which I was surprised by. Hopefully they will catch up with the way of the world and accept contactless soon hence my 4 out of 5 stars. Other wise definatly worth considering for your weekend Chinese.

Did enjoy a pint of cider, until my meal came out. Buttermilk chicken burger was so over fried I had to cut off the hard parts to eat it as was the same for the hassleback potatoes which were dark brown bullets. The waiter asked if I enjoyed my meal, to which I explained I couldn’t eat it all because it was over cooked and hard (on plate in front of us) I was then asked if I wanted another drink, which I would be given 25% off…. By this point I’d paid for a pint and a meal circa £26…. And was offered 25% off a £5.95 pint…. Mind boggling maths…. Spend an extra £4.50 to wash down the inedible food………if anyone at Brewdog would like to make that maths add up I’m open to listening…
