Restaurant at The Bridge of Orchy Hotel in Argyll & Bute

We actually ate lunch in the pub and dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Both meals were pretty good. Let's face it though, you do not really have a choice as there is nothing else around so luckily the food and prices were not bad.

Quality of the food was really good and served by friendly staff. We also enjoyed one of the mocktails which were lovely.

I stayed here last year and the food was a lot better. I remember their toastie being amazing for lunch and got the same today, but waited almost an hour to be served soggy hovis bread with a tiny bit of cheese in it. Would hesitate to stop again for lunch.

Très bonne expérience. Salade de quinoa très bonne, gibier aussi (même si peu copieux), fromages très bons. Avec un service au top et une belle vue depuis la salle à manger.

We were outright refused dinner service by who I assumed to be the manager when we arrived (which was at least an hour before dinner service finished) as we hadn’t reserved a table. We understood that they were busy and stayed for drinks. There was then at least 3 other groups that arrived without a reservation and were allowed to order food, one group arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes after ourselves and were allowed to order fish and chips or burger dishes. We can’t help but believe that this was because we were all 23years old (we were the youngest people in the restaurant) and felt like we were refused dinner service as they simply didn’t give us the time of day. We had just had a long day of walking and were very disappointed when we were refused to order to food for other people to be allowed to order food right in front of us. I would like to say that the other waiting staff were very lovely and polite to us and we had no issues with their service whatsoever.

Food was really amazing- innovative, tasty and well presented. Top ingredients. the service was cheerful, attentive and quick -well worth the stop. Booking advised.

Wonderful place for a celebratory dinner. Excellent service and fantastic food. My wife and I had dinner here as well as breakfast the next day before continuing along the West Highland Way. Delicious on both counts and great drink options from the bar. Highly recommended. If you're doing the WHW and wild camping, it's a worthy splurge to get a meal here.

The dining staff and food were excellent. The dining room has lots of windows. I had vegetarian haggis -- something I wanted to try. The sauce was great; haggis -- even vegetarian -- is not for me!

We started with the selection of meats and cheese with bread (on the nibbles menu) which was plentiful and tasty. For the main course, I ate the traditional haggis with nips and tatties which was both enjoyable and nicely spiced. My wife had the fish and chips which looked like a hearty and well-cooked meal. Paired with a robust pint of stout, the meal was very nice in quite pleasant surroundings.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our supper here when in the area in the past, and were pleased to have yet another great experience again this week! Fish and chips and vegetarian haggis, neaps and tatties were both lovely. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Will be back!

We visit on travels and British food there is splendid. We really enjoy the sticky toffee pudding it was so good.

We eat two evenings in the restaurant and then the menu is a bit small. Excellent service and the food is simple, tasty and made with attention! The pasta puttanesca, the mackerel, salmon, sticky toffee, ice cream... everything is tasty! Good food

We booked to eat in restaurant but after waiting an hour food finally arrived. Don't let them tell you to wait in residents lounge, this is a drab place downstairs. Best not to book and just walk in the bar and grab a table.

Waiter squeezed us in on a very busy evening. Staff were attentive and friendly. Haggis bonbons to share to start were delicious. Fish & chips, and tomato chilli pasta was tasty and enjoyable. Good atmosphere and nice surroundings.

We stopped here on our way to the Inveroran hotel on the west highland way. Ordered blt sandwiches which were great. Lovely views.

Stopped by whilst out on a cycle , ordered soup of the day, the waiter who was very friendly, said “it’s lovely cauliflower soup, very healthy. I was provided with lovely table ware and sourdough bread, however the soup resembled wallpaper paste, and had zero taste. I decided to turn the soup into salt and pepper soup which transformed it from dreary to not so dreary. I ate it as I’m a fatty that would eat anything, but explained to the waiter it was tasteless and he assured me that he would speak to the chef!! Bargain at £6.00. On a serious note, it’s such a shame that there are so many places rippin it out of customers like this. Very embarrassing if you are Scottish.

..Ah...Langoustines cooked perfectly! What a treat of a meal for 3 of us (and doggie). We had a great dinner and a lovely restful evening. The menu is great and all three main dishes were super. Followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding (so good he 'forgot' to share) and a great selection of cheeses.

We went there for a drink in the evening and for breakfast in the morning. Dogs were not allowed in the lounge area so we stayed in the bar area. The Romanian waiter was friendly and the lady at the reception desk was very nice; she helped us arrange baggage transfers. But the morning experience was a disaster. We went there because our west highland way guide said the breakfasts really fill you up. It took forever for someone to come take our order, and the waiter was very condescending (maybe because we were not guests and we had hiking backpacks). We ordered 2 full Scottish breakfasts and a vegetarian breakfast. It took another forever to get the food. The Scottish breakfasts were TINY, a spoonful of a single scrambled egg, a spoonful of beans, a single mushroom and half tomato, and a slice of black pudding. They didn’t put sausages and when we asked why the waiter just said they ran out. We had to push to get it replaced by something else. The guy next to us also had the same problem and complained about how small that portion was (we found him later on the trail having a second breakfast!). And, cherry on the cake, they put some black pudding in the vegetarian breakfast! The only positive thing is that they graciously offered a 10% discount.

We stopped in for coffee during West Highland Way, muddy boots and all. Great coffee cake! Paid our bill then looked at the weather forecast and decided to stay for halloumi fries which were great. We were made most welcome, until the rain passed.

Great ambience and idyllic location. The first course was exceptional - would recommend the haggis balls and Cullen Skink. Well presented with a flare for artistic streak - well done. Of course Scottish hospitality goes without saying.

Lungo la strada che porta a Glasgow, nel mezzo del parco nazionale. Ci siamo fermati per caso senza troppe pretese. Siamo rimasti particolarmente colpiti dall'ottimo cibo e dalla presentazione dei piatti. Un ristorante a 5 stelle!! Assolutamente consigliato!

While staying at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel, I had dinner at The Bridge of Orchy Hotel Restaurant. I think this was the only place to eat in the village, but regardless it was the most convenient place for me to eat and I can't imagine anywhere in the area being nicer or more inviting than the hotel's restaurant.The restaurant is one large, elegantly decorated room, with, on this rainy day, a nicely laid fire in the fireplace. The restaurant was not crowded (unlike the more popular (and crowded) bar and sunroom on the lower level that served exactly the same menu)..The food was very good. For dinner, I had an excellent meal of Blade of Beef, mash and Lyonnaise potatoes, and cauliflower, followed by a brownie, and with a pint or two. It was very well prepared, tasty, and satisfying. At lunch in the bar, I had had a Salmon, Dill & Cucumber Sandwich with Irish Coffee - also very tasty (and also available in the main restaurant).

We went here for my birthday meal at the beginning of August, and were super impressed by the choice of food, as well as the overall quality. Delicious Scottish food in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend.

Touring a bit of Scotland on motorbikes in the worst August weather possible, we pulled into the Bridge of Orchy. Apologetically dripping water in reception the staff couldnt have made us more welcome. There was a great atmosphere in the bar with fellow travellers exchanging stories and enjoying the warmth of the hotel.I had the best bowl of Cullen Skink ever. It was perfect. Thankyou go all at the Bridge.

The food and service excelled itself on every single level. A perfectly set out menu, clear and varied, not too complex. Everything sounded delicious so we made our way through it over two days and not a single dish disappointed. Huge credit to the chef’s and the waiter/waitresses, every single person was super friendly, welcoming and cautious (of course now an important feature in today’s world). Well played Bridge of Orchy!

On Thursday, I went to a restaurant name Eddie Hauck”s Wings N’ Ribs located at SE 3rd St pompano Beach FL Yes!!!! They were open super clean great service Imported and local draft beer at a great price. Nice beach ambient and the food it was flavorful and at a great price!!! If you are in the area please go visit.

Auf der Durchreise vom Loch Ness zum Loch Lomond machten wir (4-köpfige Familie) hier einen Zwischenstopp zur Mittagsverpflegung.Wir wurden freundlich und zügig bedient und die Spreisen waren alle zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Hier gabs das für mich bisher beste Haggis (mit neeps & tatties) bisher ... Sehr zu empfehlen!

Food choice is good. From hot soup, through a very good burger, to a sometimes available tomato/basil soup, to a decent salmon this restaurant is a welcome respite along the WHW or while in the mountains. The pub section has "real food, real fire, real bridge". OK, the bridge is outside, but the rest is all true. Washroom facilities are modern and spotless. Bar and bar choices excellent.

I went to this awesome restaurant to have lunch on Monday afternoon. I met the person selling at the restaurant, it was a very nice looking lady. I placed my order and it was delivered within a few minutes. What I liked best was the lady's cheerfulness and simplicity. I must confess she made me love the food more than it actually was. Lol. Will always go there for my meals.

By far one of the best value fine dining experiences you can have. I have been going since the 70's and it just gets better and better every decade. Its not the cheapest but i'm always surprised how cheep it is for the quality of food and drink i get. £25 for a 3 course meal on valentines day.. The waiting staff were friendly attentive and had a good understanding of the food and drink they served. 9.99 out of ten. Would of given ten out of ten if there had been peanut butter for my toast at breakfast and a champagne cocktail given to me upon arrival for dinner. Some places do that still..

Arrêt tout à fait par hasard dans cet hôtel/restaurant pour faire manger notre puce de 7 mois. Nous avons été accueilli avec le sourire et de façon des plus agréables. Petit café et au final, la faim arrivant, nous avons décidé de rester pour un sandwich. Leur Chicken Club Sandwich est le meilleur jamais goûté !!! We went for a pre-Christmas dinner and we were very satisfied with the experience. Nice atmosphere with lovely decorations, delicious food and very good service from Josh who was very polite and attentive. Definitely will be back!

This place proved to be a great pit stop on the A82 when I was heading down to Glasgow after being in Fort William. The surroundings are pretty spectacular with you still very much being in the Highlands and once you enter the pub it's particularly cosy and inviting.I didn't try the menu proper but just opted for a cheeky half pint of Harviestoun Nitro Stout which was a bit too lively and some chunky chips dusted in Paprika which although it's hard to rate a restaurant on its chips alone; were tasty and well cooked. If the chips were anything to go by then the food in the restaurant must be pretty decent.

After walking one of my longest days on the west highland way, I was looking forward to some tasty pub grub and this place did not disappoint. There is more formal dining in the back and a typical pub experience in the front, to accommodate the hikers. The serving staff was very friendly and quick to serve. The mussels were very good, beef brisket was so tasty and the fish and chips could’ve served two ! We were extremely happy with our food and the pints were all local varieties that also did not disappoint. A warm fire beside us to chase the chill away, we were happy. Would return to this establishment in a heart beat!

Stopped off for food on while on the West Highland Way. I was not impressed, the barman belittled my vegan requirements, I ordered chips and a mixed leaf salad, 7 pounds, should have been labled "single leaf salad." See attached photo.

Ate here whilst on West Highland Way. Surprised at how good value it was as it was the only option in Bridge of Orchy. Well priced, nice surroundings, quality of food excellent ( had the slow cooked blade of beef & the burger ).

We stopped here on the west highland way for early lunch. The breakfast rolls are excellent and they serve lovely coffee. The staff were welcoming and helpful even though we were soaking and muddy! Would definitely recommend, it’s a shame we didn’t book a room as it looked lovely!

Nous avons atterri ici un peu par hasard en suivant la vallée de Glencoe, et avons été agréablement surpris ! Nous pensions débarquer dans un énième bar/restaurant à fish & chips, au final pas du tout. L’accueil et le service était très bien, la nourriture très bonne. Tout était frais, bien assaisonné et raffiné. Le dressage était hyper travaillé !

This restaurant has outside seating as well as a large indoor dining room and the surroundings are very lovely indeed. We enjoyed lunch here. The mussels in a white wine sauce with crusty bread were delicious and the sandwich was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and overall the place has a good atmosphere. We have been here before quite a while ago and we were pleased we stopped here again.

Tout est dans le titre. Nous y sommes allés pour faire une pause pendant un trajet en voiture. Nous y avons mangé un scone et vu un cappuccino, et ce que je peux vous dire, c’est que c’était le meilleur scone que j’ai mangé de ma vie! Les serveurs et la propriétaire étaient vraiment sympas, la musique était juste parfaite et s’accordait parfaitement au reste de ce café. Nous avons tellement aimé ces scones que nous avons demandé la recette au chef, qui nous l’a donnée ! A recommander à mille pour cent!

We stopped at this amazing Inn for coffee and snacks. Terrific atmosphere. Very clean. Very warm welcoming. Loads of baked goods on offer. Fantastic coffees. Great parking. Good B and B on offer for hikers. Great location for travellers.

We ate here while doing the West Highland Way and were a bit disappointed with the food quality, especially as it was quite expensive. The service was very good and the staff helpful.

After a 14 mile walk on west highland way we had a great meal good beer the restaurant is very busy so do what we did book a table well in advance.

As my friend and I are staying in Bridge of Orchy tonight while walking the West Highland Way, and this is the only restaurant in town, we had both lunch and dinner here. The food was very tasty and there were a few good choices for vegetarians. Prices were reasonable, especially considering there are no other options in town. They have a pub in the front of the building with no view, but windows across the back of the restaurant with nice views.

Had a nice drink after a good day on the hills. There where two lovely hills a cross from the hotel and the weather was brilliant. Back to the hotel the staff were nice and friendly. The place was tidy.

Just popped in for a midday snack with my wife while walking through on the West Highland Way. The service and food were excellent, the facilities were spotless and the staff wonderful. Although the hotel is rumoured to be expensive, Judging by the service I received I think it would be well worth it.

Just had the West Highland full breakfast was excellent, the two ladies who were my servers were very accommodating having opened up the front doors to a non guest and made sure I was comfortable and from what I saw, very attentive to other patrons.

The service in the restaurant was brillian. A little pricey, but push the boat out and enjoy. For us, we don't go to Scotland every day, so it was a bit of luxury.

Cadre très cosy, table à côté du poêle qui nous a bien rechauffé en ce froid dimanche d'hiver Ecossais. Le service est très aimable et les assiettes bien remplies de délicieux mets. Stopped for lunch en route to Fort William. The welcome was very nice and we sat next to a lovely log fire. We have the burger and onion rings. The burger itself was spot on, but the rest was greasy and oily.

We stopped for lunch on our travels and received a very warm welcome. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly, and the dog was given an unexpected bowl of treats and water. Highly recommended.

We did not stayed at the hotel but we had a quick stop for lunch. The lamb shank was delicious. The restaurant has a nice view and good prices . Also the staff was very friendly. Recommended if you pass through the area

This was a great stop over for walkers. The new rooms have a "drying area" which is invaluable for walkers. The hospitality and food were very good and I would recommend this hotel

We stopped here on the way south from Fort William, intending to have a cooked breakfast. We arrived at 09.40, and were told that breakfast had finished; they were serving rolls. We wrongly assumed this meant a few things would be available. I asked for a croissant. No. I asked for toast. No. My husband had ordered a bacon roll. (He asked for Lorne sausage- no- only 'sausage sausage) I don't eat them. We were waiting for our coffee to appear when another couple came in, also wanting breakfast- they settled for the roll. Five minutes later, another couple came in, wanting breakfast. They voted with their feet. (Good luck- not much on the way south, is there!) My husband realised that I wasn't getting anything to eat, and went to see the manager. How hard is it to produce a slice of toast? He duly arranged for some toast to be served. Thank you. The coffee came. We had ordered decaf. It was a cheap and nasty cup of instant coffee.

We walked the entire 96 miles of the West Highland Way and made a stop here. The menu didn't look great at the first since it was not not many choices. However, omg! Everything tasted so great! Best everything we had on the 9 days trip. Best sticky toffee pudding ever. We wanted to stop by on the train back just for that! Also the inclusive all Scottish breakfast was amazing too.

We tried burgers and they were the worst (no exaggeration) burgers we have ever had. The meat was dry and must have been fried at least a few times before it was served. I would never recommend this restaurant.

Lovely surroundings and the food is so good. The menu is varied and every time we have been we have never been disappointed with either the service, choice of food or our surroundings. Beautiful views and the prices are not over the top.

We stopped here at the end of a seven mile walk along the West Highland Way. It’s a classic yet updated roadside inn with a great soup and sandwich menu. The Pastrami and the Club sandwiches got high marks from our group. Great range of beers on tap. Service was excellent.

During a coach trip we stopped there to see the bridge and refresh a little. Alas, we didn't have the time for food, but beer and cider had to do. We could sit out in the open and when some of us fell in love with their pint glasses (the ones with the mouse logo) and asked to purchase some they gave them to us for free.
