Restaurant at Brook Green Hotel in Hammersmith and Fulham

I dropped it to check out the Sunday Dinners they say are so good, but was disappointed to say the least, reminds me of the left overs from a BBQ,

Myself and my daughter stayed here for one night, as we were going to the Eventin Apollo. Very short, easy walk away. Our room was lovely, very clean, fab soft and fluffy towels, very comfortable bed, nice large shower with complementary toiletries. The staff were also very friendly, good job. Excellent we will definitely stay again.

Lovely pub and great hotel! Great service, lovely food, fabulous drinks and atmosphere. We stayed overnight in a cosy, comfy room. Lovely touches such as the cereals, milk and cake bars that you could help yourself to. The beds were very comfy and the staff we met and were served by, were all lovely. Highly recommend this lovely quirky pub/hotel.

Stayed for a few nights. Really interesting and different - a traditional pub with modernised rooms. A great chance to see London away from the busy … able to get a sense of a close suburb. If able, it’s a great 10min walk to Tube. Food was AMAZING as we’d booked well in advance for Xmas lunch. Staff FABULOUS even at this peak time.

Had an AMAZING Christmas party at Brook Green Pub - We had the Smithy's Bar down stairs and everything was just perfect!! Staff were incredibly helpful and fun and the food was fantastic! the Chef's made sure everything was just what we wanted and served us the most delicious meal. I could not fault the evening - would defo recommend and will defo be back again :)

The Brook Green pub is a fascinating place to spend a night out with friends or family. The location is great, the staff is amazing, food and drinks as well. I strongly recommend it to everyone, you will be satisfied.

Had a birthday for 20 people at Brook Green Hotel Sunday roast then Smiths cocktail bar below. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and went out of their way to accommodate and deal with all the requests. Food was great and Smiths bar below was fantastic with music to match. I had the most beautiful breakfast 'yummy Eggs Benedict'. I higgly recommend you try this 😉😋😍. Although I did not stay at the hotel, I ensured to try this treat as recommended by friends & family

We 6 Aussie tourists staying in the Hammersmith area had a really good meal at the Brook Green pub on Shepherds Bush Road on a Wednesday night. The food (even for our celiac) was terrific - burger, chicken & leek pie, bangers and mash. We shared a bottle of sav blanc. What really impressed was the service. Our waitress (3/8/22) was outstanding. Efficient,friendly, helpful, professional, but trying to hide a smile when we cracked a stupid Dad joke. She helped with the celiac's meal and with the wine, and was terribly, terribly patient (and she needed that patience). To the management of the Brook Green Hotel - she is your greatest asset.

Visited with friends and I nearly passed out at £6.40 a pint. How can they justify that??? I'm guessing the the pub was empty for most of the time we were there and have to pay the non-attentive staff somehow. We were going to eat till we saw how much. This is not a central London exclusive establishment. In fact it is seriously lacking in any atmosphere whatsoever. I remember the pub back in the old days and it was a good local pub, gentrification has taken its toll unfortunately.

Traditional pub, at a hotel. Good beer selection, deep chairs and sofas, nice music, airy and high roof. Nothing wrong, nothing exceptional - except cool music from the 80’s. Relaxing place

nice location, great staff. I was popping in for a beer, saw the food come out and landed up having lunch and early dinner with several pints in between.

We took an elderly friend here for dinner as it was one of the few local restaurants I could find with outdoor heated seating (needed to adhere to covid regs). There were 2 waitresses who told us several times that they did not usually work there and had been drafted in. We asked if they had a cushion for our friend and the response was "No we don't and we don't normally work here so wouldn't know where to find one". There were lots of cushions on the vacant seats indoors. Service was atrocious and food very sadly was poor. Eventually, having waited at our table for 10 to 15 minutes to be served, I went to the front door where both members of staff were sitting chatting and I asked for the menu. It was handed to me without comment. I found the whole evening rather sad as this used to be one of our local favourites and the evening was just so awful. Especially sad for our elderly friend as it was a rare evening out for her.

Saturday lunch here recently was a major disappointment. The food was tepid, bland and on the whole totally inedible. Staff were rude and indifferent. They were certainly blind to any complaint. Furthermore, it was expensive and grossly overpriced. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. It has been the worst dining experience I have encountered in London for some considerable time.

We had a great food, wine and service in the restaurant. I would highly recommend it for a quiet spot to relax and catch-up with colleagues, friends and family.

We were a large party of 23 for our office xmas lunch. We had to pre-order but their booking system was very easy and quick to use. Mark was really helpful when some of us managed to double order or change our minds. We had a couple of last minute drop outs, again Mark was very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty decent, the starters weren't great but the xmas dinners were lovely with proper meat and lovely veg and good gravy. The staff were helpful and friendly and patient with us all moving seats and generally being a bit annoying and drunk!! We then moved into the bar and had great service there too. I would happily go back here and would recommend for any size party.

Luego terminamos tomando cubiertos de otras mesas. Notable cuán pobre era la calidad de la comida, el servicio y el personal. No pude salir de allí lo suficientemente rápido. . . Mi consejo: muchas opciones mejores en la zona. Evitar a toda costa. No sorprende que el lugar estuviera muerto. . . .

Gastro style food served towards the rear of the bar...lovely setting with an open style kitchen...good food,good service.

Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. 8 of us ate at lunchtime after checking in, good wholesome food reasonably priced.

Beautiful refined gastro pub food Special thumbs up for the mushroom wellington. Been on the Sunday roast with my daughter and back for more on Monday evening for a cosy diner with my good friend. Loved the decoration, Will definitely be back

Terrible. La comida era comestible. Visitamos para un domingo asado, se servía pollo seco y verduras frías. Cuando me quejé, tomaron mi plato y me lo trajeron y me sirvieron mi pollo original (medio bifurcado) y algunas papas nuevas. Cuando hablé con el camarero, dijo que lo habían vuelto a poner en el horno durante 10 minutos. No quería comer pollo recalentado, así que dije que no podía comerlo (teniendo en cuenta que el plato era de 15). Entonces pedí el plato de "panes artesanales" porque tenía hambre; Me sirvieron pan blanco tostado con unos trozos de pan de semilla de amapola. Today I came in with my best friend, as I always highly recommend this place. The ambience is quiet but with an atmosphere comfortable to have a good conversation without being hushed.The food is always spectacular wether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.Come in and stop by and try for yourselfToday I had the cauliflower soup!

Went to have dinner but probably won’t be back. The food was ok although my mother’s lamb dish seemed more fat than meat and my brownie whilst recommended was so dry. The problem I had was the service. We had prebooked but it was obvious that our table was not reserved. The place wasn’t busy at all yet you had to wait ages for someone to get to your table. Also our bill was so wrong that it was double what we had had. Not a great experience when there are so many other restaurants to choose from in the area.

Took my family for a meal at Brook Green and it was fab - they have all the pub classics as well as plenty of healthier choices, salads etc so everyone was happy. As you'd expect from a Young's pub the wine list was good too - it's a nice place for summer as there is outdoor seating. Hammersmith can be a bit hit and miss for pubs and food, so Brook Green is a welcome safe bet! Good service too :)

We went as a family for a meal to this restaurant slightly concerned due to some recent reviews. We needn't have worried. The food was fabulous and cooked to perfection. We were told there was a new chef so as long as the standard remains high, here's to many more return visits!

This is a beautiful restaurant and the service cannot be faulted - best service I have had in a long time and the waitress needs to be commended for that.

I went went to the Brook Green Hotel pub yesterday evening and have never been so appalled and shocked by the level of rudeness of the staff.

As a book group we meet in the Brook Green Hotel restaurant every few months. This time (Tue after Easter), of the 6 of us who are only 1 was happy with their food. Normally our concensus is the food is good and better than the Queens Head which is our alternative venue. A portion of sweet potato chips was returned, sausages were re-heated and dry, 4 of us found our dishes were far to salty (2 to the extent that they didn’t finish it), one dish came without the promised spring greens. Ordering was also challenging as several dishes on the menu were unavailable.

Excellent range of Young’s beers and much more Traditional Sunday lunch’s of roasts ,we had the beef and trimmings ,followed by homemade puddings Very good service and well priced

This was an impulse stop after finding myself in this area. A very spacious room which was obviously once an old-fashioned local which has been upgraded to trendy gastropub. A small menu focused on English classics including Sunday roasts. I took the liver and bacon which was crisp and tasty. Excellent wine list.

I organised my wife surprise birthday last Saturday for 30 people. Brook Green team have been super efficient and reliable from A to Z. Food was great and service flawless. Thank you again to everyone who helped me organizing that event. All my friends and family had a great moment and you made my wife's day. She was over the moon. Ben

We have visited the Brook Green for Christmas lunch for a few years now. This year was exceptional, the atmosphere and great service really made our day. All of our meals were excellent, we sat near the kitchen & watched the chefs prepping the food & you could see that they really cared & were proud of their work. Service as I said was attentive but not intrusive & everyone was happy. Our gluten free guest was catered for, even down to a special Christmas brownie so as not to feel left out for desert, not that we needed it! Reminded us that we really must pop in more often throughout the year to visit the cocktail bar & especially when the garden reopens for the summer.

After being let down by another local establishment (@ the 11th hour, (15 minutes)) we enquired if they could fit in a table for 7 from different points of the Country and surprise (week before Xmas) they managed to fit us in. Pork with duck egg, lovely. Cumberland sausage, lovely. Fish & chips, great. Burgers, great. And I've been told to add a special mention for then fish fingers sandwich which (I'm told) was the best they have ever had. Staff were exception. And will be booking for family gatherings again. Nearly forgot, great value

The food ie starter and main course was ok and the service was good but when we came to order coffee and desserts, there were problems. The manager was very good and took this off the bill but it soured the evening. I’m not sure I’d eat there again.

We celebrated my son's christening at the Brook Green Hotel. The booking process was really easy, we had a wonderful, semi private area for twenty people, the food was great & the service was excellent. We had such a lovely time that we've booked for a big family get together on Boxing Day.

Have eaten here many times. Menu is so tasty with great choice and the bar staff are helpful and efficient, for an informal dinner it's perfect.

Having ate here a few years ago decided to re book for lunch . Arrived at hotel restaurant and told the member of bar staff we had a table booked and her reply was " really ".

とても美味しい。イギリスの代表的なフィッシュ＆チップスをはじめどの料理をオーダーしてもソースが工夫されていたり味付けはとても良かったです。ホテルに宿泊していたので、朝食も食べましたが、卵料理もメニューから選べてとても選択肢は多かったです。また、手作りのベリーソースはヨーグルトととても相性が良くどれを食べてもシェフの優しさが伝わってきました。雰囲気も落ち着いていてゆっくり食事を味わえる素敵なレストランだと思います。

On one of the hottest days of the year, the restaurant was beautifully air conditioned at just the right temperature. It's also in a really nice location. Overall decor was absolutely lovely and the food was amazing. Good value for money and the service was excellent. Going there again soon.

Ate dinner here one night during our stay in the hotel and were very impressed by the standard and presentation of the food and the staff were very helpful and attentive

I don't know what it is about this pub, it has a great location and looks appealing from the outside: but I always end up regretting going in. ( it's near my work so I keep trying again thinking it may have improved...) The food isn't bad, just very overpriced for average pub grub, and the drinks aren't very well served. The service in general is one of the worst elements, the staff are always slow, unsure of what they are doing and manage to make you feel awkward for ordering a drink. Or they sit at adjacent tables during quiet spells and stare at you whilst you're eating. All rather offputting.

Nice bar and helpful that you can reserve. However the snacks are over priced. One item was incorrectly priced on the menu and instead of letting me pay the advertised price the bar staff charged the 'real' price. It definitely wasn't worth that price!

Didnt stay but had late evening drinks here. Very comfortable and relaxing as a hotel bar should be. But also pricey. The cocktail bar in the cellar was not open so cannot comment on that. Staff very friendly

Just wanted to thank the restaurant for one of the best roast dinners that we have had in a long time. Normally I am a bit sceptical when having a Sunday pub lunch but this one was exceptional. Tasty juicy meat (lamb and beef) and equally yummy veg. Not your usual dry, over cooked shoe leather. Lovely bar and wait staff too and atmosphere was buzzing. Will definitely go again.

We ate here due to it's location to our hotel and the fact it had a cocktail bar below. I loved the restaurant and its decor. The waiter handed us our menus and left us to make our choices.

I loved burgers at this place with french fries . I also liked homely prepared coffee here. Staff was very generous . I loved the place and i always hangout at this place at lunch time .

This bar/restaurant is approx 7-10 mins walk from Hammersmith tube station so good location.

We booked a table for a our Christmas meal and the food was wonderful! the only negative thing I would point out is that the service was extremely slow and it wasn't a busy day wither. we waited 30 mins just to pay as they were looking for a girl to serve us? all in all the food was great but the service could be better

A catalogue of disasters when using the pub facilities! Incorrect drinks orders, a 50 minute wait for food that was cold upon arrival, slow service and overpriced. It was a Sunday afternoon yet the venue was far from busy with lots of empty tables and chairs. With such a low standard we will definitely never go here again.

My husband and I were very amused by the sign outside this place (see photo) and it certainly did the job of tempting us in. We were en route to a concert at Hammersmith Apollo and wanted a quick bite to eat so we ordered a burger each and some drinks. Lovely wine and the burgers were some of the best we've ever tasted (and I know my burgers)! Juicy burger with lovely fresh salad, delicious fried onions and huge pickles - great fries too. Unfortunately I live in Wales so won't be back any time soon but these burgers almost make me want to move to Shepherds Bush!! Great stuff and the staff are friendly too.

This family just moved to Hammersmith and we just needed a good dinner. This place looked promising as a step up from others around it. We ordered a red wine and received a white which we sent back and again told the waitress that the wine we ordered is a red. There was no steak knife provided to cut meat and it just seemed that the wine and the food wasn't up to the standard we expected for the price. Maybe it was just an off night?

we both had the roast with the trio of meats. Was fantastic, also really good service, and a nice place!

I had an amazing experience with ny friends, and especially the cheesecake was gorgeous, I loved it, really happy for the rest of the food!!!

The restaurant is spacious, yet homely and relaxing, with a congenial atmosphere. A lovely Victorian building and grand interior. Varied and creative menu - we had halloumi salad sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. You can spread out on sofa chairs or watch the world go by on a bar stool. Love this place.

This pub/restraunt looks very inviting from outside, and actually inside as well. The decor and furniture is really well done and everything gives you an impression that you are about to enjoy a nice British meal, but that wasn't the case for us. Our waitress didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Gave us a white wine instead of a red.. then came back to clarify again what the wine we ordered was after we'd just asked her... Long wait for the food and it wasn't good. A Steak knife wasn't given to me, so cutting my pork belly was a stringing mess. All the plates looked very nice, presentation done well and looked very delicate considering the portions they provided, but pork belly wasn't nicely done, had a weird texture. Salmon was strips of salmon that you'd find in packaging, not the grilled fillet we were expecting etc. Very pricy meal as well. Upon leaving we all agreed that the waitress didn't look like she knew what she was doing.... Bad meal.

We had a large work party recently. I went great, though there are still some things to improve.

The food was lovely, surroundings are beautiful. But the staff couldn't care less. They obviously have locals that they chat with, but they didn't clear our plates. We actually moved them ourselves.

I went to a birthday celebration with a big group of friends and we had a great time at the Brook Green Restaurant/Pub! The food was good and all the staff members were very friendly and professional! Afterwards we had drinks and the service was on point!

We visited the Brook Green 26/06/2016 hoping to enjoy a delicious Sunday Roast. Sadly on arrival of 4 roast beef and 1 trio of roast they were served cold including the additional dish of gravy. We asked for them to be reheated, this took over 15 minutes and were returned still not very hot but we continued to eat our meal. Being British we do not like to make too much of a fuss. Nonetheless, we would like others to be aware!! On the positive side the waiter was very attentive and apologetic. We will not be returning!!

I went for dinner at the newly refurbished Brook Green with my sister and was delighted by the food and eager service. The menu has been revamped and has a few stand out dishes. I highly recommend the duck filo roll and the Cote du Boeuf (large steak to share). The nutella waffles were also a real win. The vibe is modern contemporary and they have a good wine and cocktail list as well as your usual pub classics. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place with nice gastro-style food.

Ambiente molto rilassante, arioso, stile classico con dei tocchi di eleganza. Staff veramente gentile :) Una delle migliori English breakfast che ho assaggiato in UK, molte cose fatte in casa, ben bilanciate. Menù molto interessante, assaggiato anche il breakfast muffin: una cosa divina.

The pub and restaurant have just re-opened after a full refurbishment. The pub has high ceilings, large windows and a good atmosphere. The food was good, somewhere between basic pub food and gastro pub and not too expensive. We went for a meal for two and enjoyed every course and GREAT service. As it is just 10 mins from home and office we will be back.

This a great place to eat even if you are not staying at the Brook Green Hotel. Fantastic food, great staff and reasonably priced. This is well worth a visit if you are visiting the Hammersmith Apollo! The breakfast is first class!!

Abbiamo assistito all'ultimo incontro del sei nazioni di rugby, Francia - Inghilterra, m mentre assaporavamo degli ottimi piatti locali ad un prezzo di certo inferiore a quello che trovi in centro, circa 12 sterline per i secondi, , con l'ambiente tipico da vero pub inglese. Staff cordiale e cibo tipico inglese buono, non chiedevamo altro. Consigliato.

we really enjoyed the special of the day, which was Lamb Shank. It was absolutely delicious and the meat was so tender, it just fell off the bone! Shame there was no mint sauce, but never mind, we still really enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for its welcoming atmosphere and food.

I'm sure this is a nice little hotel and yes, its a pretty building... it also has a good reputation for Sunday lunch, based on which, we booked for five people to get together to enjoy a pre-Christmas family roast several weeks ahead of time. Arriving promptly at 2pm and having ordered our food we were told after ten minutes that there was only one portion of the chicken left, so we compromised on that - only to be told five minutes later that there was no roast beef left... leaving us with only one option (Pork) which nobody wanted, or, effectively, normal run of the mill pub grub which was totally contrary to the point of being there. The staff on duty gave a half hearted explanation about being 'busy' that day but this was only two o'clock and they knew we were coming and infact, there were only three other tables occupied so this seemed somewhat unlikely. We were given no option at now 2.40 than to get up, leave and desperately try to find another venue that could accommodate our now very deflated and starving hungry family. The attitude was unacceptable and the management is clearly hopeless. Hopefully this will help any readers to avoid this sort of disappointment and poor service in the future - our suggestion, pre-order to ensure you have a fighting chance of getting anything better than a burger or sausages. We will certainly never return.

My friend had booked a few weeks ago to treat my son and I to a delicious Sunday roast lunch at where we were assured was the perfect place for such a generous thought just before Christmas. The table for five was booked and we were so looking forward to this day together. Our table was booked for 2pm for lunch and we arrived on time to the pretty dining room; not overwhelmed by customers and admittedly the dishes on others tables looked delicious. There were three roasts available - chicken, beef or pork. Two of our party ordered the chicken and the rest of us the roast beef. A few minutes later the waiter returned to say that there was only ONE portion of roast chicken available. As we were being treated we ordered another dish. A few minutes after that the waiter returned and said that now there was only ONE roast beef available. So disappointed we were and none of us wanted the other roast that we decided to leave. We were NOT walk in guests we had booked a table and how embarrassing for our kind hosts. I was shocked to see that the restaurant was continuing to seat walk in guests with virtually no roasts available. How short sighted on a Sunday to run out of roasts. Again the restaurant was not packed.

We spent a couple of nights in the Hotel, and had a lunch and dinner in the bar and restaurant. The ambience of the bar and dining area is so pleasant and relaxing with big squishy settees and arm chairs. The staff were so helpful and even though they had big parties of Christmas diners, produced delicious food in good time at a very reasonable price. I cannot fault this place and only wish it was my local. Will definitely be returning.

We ate late lunch here. Both had burgers and fries. They were very good, cooked well, nice brioche bun, and straw fries (would have preferred 'proper chips' though). We were served quickly and food was cooked for us and served in about 15 minutes.

Capable new manager, real log fire, well kept ales, good sausage rolls and comfortable seating in a bar with atmosphere.

We dined here one night while staying at the hotel and enjoyed an excellent meal. The menu is fairly small (always a good sign) but varied and includes a few vegetarian options. Service was friendly (but not too familiar) and efficient without appearing rushed. We had time to relax and enjoy the evening. Thoroughly recommended: we shall return.

I've never been here for dinner, but I go regularly for a drink. I think I'll be going less as the place has really gone down here. It was basically empty on a Friday night in summer which tells you something. They have stopped taking care of the garden area, it smells like bins and lots of areas are quite dirty, including the outdoor cushions. I ordered a pimms for 4.95 and what arrived wasn't very nice at all. There was no mint or strawberries, so it didn't really taste like pimms at all. I will be looking for somewhere else to drink

Went for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. We ordered the baked camembert with crudités for a starter. When it arrived the vegetables looked as though they had been prepared a week earlier - a couple of very sad looking carrot sticks and limp cucumber. How long does it take to cut up a few vegetables? My husband then ordered the dish from the 'specials' board - Walnut Crust Dorset Lamb Rump with rosemary polenta, radicchio, watercress, broad beans and pear salad. The lamb was overcooked, the polenta was like wallpaper paste with no sign of any rosemary and there was no sign of any watercress or pears! Not sure why you would be unable to supply a dish that you advertise as a 'special.' The place was almost empty and lacked any atmosphere as a result - now I understand why! I certainly wouldn't go back again and would warn others to stay away.

Six of us went on a Sunday lunchtime. It was surprisingly quiet having heard of its reputation.

Table for three at lunch on a Friday. Nice environment, clean and bright. The food was great, portions could be bigger but the quality makes up for it. Half decent selection of beer and wine too. Service was poor though, weren't asked if we'd like drinks after the 1st round, weren't offered dessert. We had money to spend on our client too! Would easily have eaten and drunk more.

I had my first Toad in the hole at Brook Green hotel. Yummy, yummy, yummy. The ambient was very nice, waiters quick and pleasant.

I've visited twice this week, having first the burger and secondly the steak and ale pie.

Stopped in for Sunday Lunch. The roast lamb was excellent but my friends, who both ordered the roast beef, received something that wouldn't have looked out of place on a microwave TV dinner.

I've been to this place several times as I live locally. I've never experience to stay at the hotel but the pub downstairs is one of my favourites!

As a company we have used Brook Green Hotel a number of times for client lunches and so on, its never been fantastic but it work for a meeting and lunch.

This is a lovely British pub with comfy sofas. I certainly enjoyed their Fish&Chips; with chunky chips served on lovely printed traditional grease proof paper. Very stylish. Loved that. They even had a few color pencils and paper to draw for our little boy.
