absolutely loved our afternoon tea today as soon as we enteredlady told us social distancing rules and to hand sanitize our hands ,we wer offered drinks straight away and told if we wanted another pot to just ask,when our afternoon tea came it was wow couldnt believe how good it looked,sandwiches were all fresh and a homemade sausage roll which was warm and very tasty.homemade scones were so tasty and fresh,i have had alot of afternoon teas but can honestly say this was 1 of the best.def will be returning after lockdown

Had a table booked for 6 pm, no track and trace on arrival, shown straight to table which was dirty and sticky, No attempt was made to clean it. Drinks order was taken and 10 minutes later we were still waiting on menus, A couple at another table requested menus and the waitress then came to our table and told us that they were printing them at the moment. Menus finally arrived and how disappointing we had a choice of burger and chips, fish and chips or gammon and chips? As we were all hungry we placed our order. Food arrived and we had to ask for cutlery and salt, pepper, vinegar etc. I wish we had gone to the chippy the food was awful. The waitress did ask us if everything was okay but this was before we had started eating and I did tell her that I hadn't tasted it yet. No one came back and asked us again. There were only two other couples eating so they were not busy.

Warm and friendly greeting by staff, food all freshly prepared and delicious. Lovely log fire on keeping us nice and warm on this rainy day. Can’t wait to visit again

Requested a gluten free afternoon tea six days before my booking. Was called three hours before my booking to be told a gluten free afternoon was impossible to do. This is not true as i have had gluten free afternoon teas in other venues. Was offered a gammon steak or a salad as an alternative ... I had promised my sister in law a afternoon tea a gammon steak isn't going to cut it. I have no issue that you are unable to fulfil the request but to tell somebody 3 hours before is unacceptable then to cut the call off to say that i was verbally abusive when i asked what on earth am i supposed to do three hours before a booking. Really poor service would not recommend at all. Do not come here if you expect any allergies to be catered for.

Excellent service lovely food, procecco and wine will definitely book again so much nicer now with new decor and management

Heard it was under new management so went for Afternoon tea and it didn’t disappoint food was all fresh and homemade, Sausage Roll our of this world! All served with traditional China for the rustic what I call real afternoon tea look. Light airy and spacious and all Covid safe too Will be back soon to sample the main menu thank you

Last time I wrote a review about this place, it wasn’t a good one!My family and I used to visit here quite regularly as it’s just down the road but it went drastically downhill under the previous manager. Heard it had recently been taken over by new management and a few friends had started to recommend it again so thought I’d give it a go and what a difference!! Have been twice now since it reopened after lockdown and have been very impressed both times. Food is well priced, came out in great time, brilliant presentation and tasted great too. Peri chicken burger was delicious! All staff were very friendly, polite and engaged in conversation with us. Will definitely be back!

I only realized the Beachwood was under new management was after reading some other reviews and I have to say well done the food was great and the staff were very attentive, keep up the great work and we will definitely be back soon.

1 Hour wait for food. Glass of wine £6. peroni £4.80 a pint. Won't be back. Food half price till August but making up with drinks rip off.

The Beechwood has recently re-opened under new management. This place is local to us. We'd seen the pictures of the Sunday roast on FB & were planning to visit - then won their draw to have a free lunch for 2, so no excuse not to. The meal did not disappoint: generous portions (the giant yorkshires have to be seen to be believed!), well cooked and presented, friendly & helpful staff and a choice of spaces indoors & outdoors to eat. All to current Covid19/SD guidelines. The whole family give it a thumbs up, we will be back again soon. 👍

We had a few beers in the beer garden followed by a really tasty fish and chips indoors. Friendly staff and food half price till the end of July made for a pleasant and relaxing time. Place is now under new management and menu has reverted to traditional pub fayre. Will definitely return.

Went as a family to celebrate my sons graduation. Over all the meal was very good. Myself and mother had the lamb chop starter. Big mistake!. Tough as old boots. We are butchers by trade. Complained but nothing put right . Would not go again. We all have problems , but had we been put right on the lamb chops would not be giving negative report.

Cinnamons Indian restaurant at the beechwood hotel is fantastic, the food is some of the best curry I've had in a long time, can't wait to go back.

Just had a lovely curry here ,14 guests food was excellent, bit of a wait but considering how many people to serve at one time well worth waiting for ,staff were attentive and courteous , Have also had a take a way from here and that was just as good

Had such a fabulous meal here last Tuesday, that we went again on Wednesday.Not sure how anyone could find fault with this place. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were attentive and friendly and most of all.....the food was delicious.If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely call in for more of the same.

Went to a private birthday party here, really well looked after by the staff, good choice of Indian and European menu, no-one left dissapointed. beer choice (draught) a little limited bur prices reasonable. Nice gardens for kids to run around in and enjoy when we have good weather, which we did fortunately. would recoomend for all age groups although probably not lively enough for the 18-25 age group

Party of 4 all enjoyed their various Indian dishes which were reasonably priced. Wouldn't write home about it but it was a decent meal and although I would try other places too, I would certainly come back.

I organised my daughters surprise birthday party in Beachwood restaurant and bar.

Dos de nosotros visitamos para comer el domingo. Un hombre agradable nos recibió y nos mostró una mesa bien puesta. Bebidas, aperitivos y postres todas preciosas pero cayó en la carne en el asador. Mi compañero tenía la carne que era bastante raro, pero ella dijo que estaba bien. Tuve Turquía y sobresaliente. La Turquía necesitaba más cocinar para mí y no pude chusmear sobresaliente. Como en. una pena por 10 libras. 95 muy buena relación calidad-precio.

We arrived at 3:00pm. It wasn't that busy. We were asked to sit in the lounge which consisted of tables and chairs. I thought a lounge would contain sofas????

Las comidas eran deliciosos - excelente el tamaño de las porciones y la calidad excelente. Tuve el salmón que estaba exquisito. Los postres eran deliciosas.

Clean, bright bar area and lovely garden at the front. Really good food...fresh ingredients and lots of choice. Friendly staff and Nas the manager was really welcoming...we will be back. Thank you.

One of The worst experience I've had at a Indian restaurant . The service was poor it took 45 mins to take the order then a further 45 mins for the Poppadoms to come, the main was then a further half a hour , when the mains came one of the currys was un-edible ,the mixed grill was nice but not enough to pull it back I defiantly won't be returning and won't be recommending it to any one I no , they only want you to eat of the buffet and not the menu , and the staff didn't no weather they were coming or going , a real shame really as the restaurant has got so much potential

Muy amable y cálida bienvenida, el personal es encantador. Menú era genial y fueron capaces de ofrecer opciones sin gluten. El restaurante estaba muy limpia y era precioso para sentarse y disfrutar de una comida y bebidas con amigos. El personal era revisar en nosotros durante toda la noche y muy atento. La comida era fresca y deliciosa, y muy a un precio razonable. Sin duda merece la pena una visita!

Very welcoming, good range of beers and a choice of Asian or English menus.We both had dishes from the Asian menu and they we very good. The staff were attentive and service was fast.

I personally never leave negative reviews but I feel this review is required. We are a family of six who attended on a Sunday afternoon after pre booking a week ago but I'm afraid to say we've never been somewhere so un organised and left bitterly disappointed especially with the food on offer. The so called service and the food on offer was a disgrace, they couldn't cope at all when it wasn't even near full. No communication with each other, no one was around at times to ask for drinks etc. When we finally got to sit at our table we found food from previous guests under the table. Which was finally cleared up at our request.The manager informed us we could only have a couple of items off the starter menu as part of the three course carvery deal (my wife preferred one starter but was refused saying it's not part of the deal but a table arrived after us they were this option which was an insult to us) We waited ages for a waitress to come to our table to order the food and for the drinks to arrive once ordered. We waited over 20 minutes for one beer to arrive. The waitress didn't know what the price of the carvery 3 course was or what was included in the deal either. The food was the biggest let down and for some reason our plates from our starters were not cleared off our table before our mains. They were still on the table and not removed till we were about to leave. All the carvery meats were very dry, tough and the carvery meals were also cold. One curry was ordered and I've tasted better in a supermarket packet tbh. Clearly not cooked fresh and I requested a mix of lamb & chicken curry but was refused. This is the first Indian restaurant who has refused a mix of meat dish. Only the poppadoms and the naan bread was fresh and pleasant, the children's meals weren't a very good standard either, the burger was uneatable. We were shocked even more when a table nearby who arrived after us was told their Sunday roasts will be made up fresh when we had to eat the dregs of the meat thats been sitting there for hours at the carvery. Our puddings arrived - kids ice creams were good (which you can't go wrong from the freezer can you?) but we asked for 2x treacle puddings and 3x came out and it was the worst pudding they've ever tasted. Again these also arrived cold & were uneatable! Couple of guests were ill in the night since eating here. Service and quality of the food was disgusting and clearly embarrassing. The manager apologised and knocked two beers off the bill but was clearly out of his depth and stressed throughout our stay. To add insult even further of what we experienced he told us to come earlier in the day next time so they've got more food available!!!. Sorry but a 3.30pm booking of 6x people (2x kids) on a Sunday is no excuse for basic items refused off the menu and the quality on offer is of a very poor standard of food. Certainly won't be a next time, we all left disgusted and bitterly disappointed! Sorry but AVOID this shambles of a 'restaurant'!!!

The Beechwood has had a funny past, but now seems to have got itself working well. The staff were friendly enough and demonstrated no great issues with regards to efficiency or accuracy - which is nice. There is a good strong mix of available dishes and the pricing was appropriate. The actual layout of tables feels a bit weird, but I guess the building shape rather dictates things.

Seen an ad on Facebook for the buffet and it looked great on the picture, big bit of fish, samosas, colourful curries! However after lifting the very flimsy lids I was disappointed, the fish were tiny fish bites. Don't get me wrong the food was nice but the selection was poor. I do appreciate that this may be a new venture for the beechwood but they need to lower the price and widen the variety. We had recently visited a place in Hinckley and maybe we were spoiled by them as their selection was huge and food amazing. I did like the food at beechwood but it was not worth £15 per person for the small selection of food on offer. Unfortunately it is somewhere where I don't think I will return to but glad I have been!

I went with my husband and its great hotel, great food and great service with a lovely garden . definitely worth visiting again!

An aesthetically pleasing location. welcoming polite staff and a well balanced menu wether it be English or Indian . The bar serves an exceptional pint of wolf rock along with other well known beers. Naz the manager went above and beyond the call of duty to provide an A+ service . Our family will definitely be spending more evenings dining here and maybe even grab the occasional takeaway....

We visited mainly because we couldn't decide which type of cuisine we wanted and the Beechwood serves English and Indian food. We both had Indian starters-chicken tikka and Haryali chicken tikka. Both were very tasty. For main courses, we had gammon with egg, pineapple and chips, which also came with salad, (although this was not stated on the menu) and garlic chilli chicken with rice and stuffed paratha. A side salad had also been ordered to go with the gammon, not realising it came with one. The stuffed paratha was disappointing-not what was expected. The owner came around the diners to check if everything had been alright with the food. We commented about the salad not being stated on the menu and the fact that we were disappointed with the paratha. He said that he was very interested in feedback as they are constantly trying to improve if possible. He went into the kitchen and returned saying that he had spoken to the chef and that he would take the price of these items off the bill. I suppose that the only down side, which had nothing to do with the quality of the food was that the tills had not been set up with the correct prices for the items, so the wine that we had showed as something different on the bill, but we were actually charged the price for that wine too, which was £1 more per bottle. The staff did rectify the situation when this was pointed out and were most apologetic, saying that the tills would be amended. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

I go to the beechwood quite regular and am very impressed with the service and will defiantly recommend to anyone that they need to try the frank Parker butcher steaks they are beautiful and melt in your mouth.I also cannot fault the service from Nas and his lovely team, beth and tasha the beautiful girls behind the bar and everyone behind the scenes, anyone that is looking at visiting this hotel then your in for beautiful food and an amazing night filled with nice people looking after your stay or night from start to finish. Highly recommended keep up the good work guys! X

Amazing food. Had the 3 course Sunday lunch, which was beautiful and amazing value for money. The owner is such a lovely man, very accommodating, always asking if his customers are happy, lovely touch. Would highly recommend dining her. Coming back this week to try the curry!

I visited this place a few months back with a few friends for drinks and was really impressed with the décor and service. After learning about the new steak night offer on Wednesdays we decided to visit and once again all I can say what a treat it was. The steaks where cooked to our liking and the sides where spot on. The manager (cannot remember name) mentioned the steaks come from Frank Parker, apparently a award winning butcher. There are not many restaurants in Coventry and we usually have to travel out but these guys have really impressed us.

I recently seen a comment on here about the manager and his actions and personally from working here I have never witnessed anything like here and I work her about 5 time a week. All staff and managers and friendly and excellent team members.

I have visited here for food and/or drinks on a few occasions and always had a great experience . The waiting and bar staff give great service and are very attentive although I cannot help but feel sorry for them. The general manager, Nas, has no customer service or managerial skills whatsoever. If I was to work under him, I wouldn't be working there for very long. The way he talks to the staff is disgusting and I couldn't help but laugh when he sat down for food when the 2 waiting / bar staff were rushing round tidying up after a big group of guests leaving. To make matters worse, he then came behind the bar for 5 seconds and said 'I need a fag' and went outside the front of the restaurant for a cigarette. As a manager myself, I understand he needs to direct the team but he needs to help them out when needed too and not lean on the bar and bark orders. From a guest point of view, when we've been in the building for over half and hour, maybe try coming over and making a proper conversation if he wants to talk. Not.. "do you need a drink", when our drinks are quite obviously full. Didn't catch the name of the girl behind the bar but she was great and she took it in her stride when Nas seemed to tell her off about the clothes she was wearing. Plus, she seemed to have more of an understanding of what was going on than he did In my opinion it is a waste of money having the general manager there as he wasn't really doing much but putting on a suit and shouting orders around. You are going to have a high staff turnover and possibly lose custom if guests witness how he treats your staff.

Such a perfect location why on earth would you rent the hotel to the DHSS. Then why allow them into the beer garden to act chavy and kids beg us for drinks. This could be a gem with a lovely garden.Nice food and decent staff totally ruined by the hostel.

Myself and two friends went for a catch and meal on Thursday night,we were the only table in there until a couple arrived.We ordered our food I thought I would try a curry I asked for mushroom rice which wasn't on the menu,the other two had gammon and lasagna .We waited quite a while considering we were the only ones .My garlic chicken curry came it was tasteless and the rice was boiled with about five mushrooms thrown in,the gammon came with burnt pineapple and the salad was lettuce.The lasagna was tiny very salty and burnt.We asked the waiter about Sunday dinner he didn't have a clue how much it costtwo lots of police arrived while we were there at the back of the building,which I think is being used to house people on benefits ,won't be going back there...such a shame as the building and area outside is beautiful

Awful, food gave most of our table food poisoning clearly the chicken was clearly off. The place was filthy the tables where sticky and the cutlery still had food from the last service on them.The so called manager kept coming to our table making us feel very uncomfortable clearly his idea of customer service is to be over bearing and awkward.To top it off they tried to Over charge for drinks we never has again the so called manager.The place is a joke I wouldn't let my dog eat there

This was our first visit. We had dinner on Friday night. We had no reservation but we turned up and got a table for 3 (2 adults and a child) around 7pm.The decor is very bright and welcoming. The atmosphere is bustling but very relaxed. The service was great - the staff are very knowledgable about the dishes and were happy to adapt the fish curry so my son could have it not too spicy.The menu is good. Not too big that it takes forever to choose and not what I would deem expensive either.The food was really tasty. I liked that when we ordered popadoms they were a set price for a basket. We are terrible for ordering too many this was perfect for us.We will be back to try their Sunday lunches too!Totally worth a visit.

I have to say my husband and myself have visited the Beechwood on several occasions since it opened, as a couple and with family and friends . i have to say it has never ever let us down yet.. The food is amazing.. The curries leave your taste buds tingling not your mouth burning and as for the English food , we love the range of fresh vegetables that always come along with the main.well worth every penny.Keep it up guys !!

Visited the Hotel without having a booking ,fairly busy and there were 7 of us however the indian food that we ordered was delicious very long wait to order but was worth it Think they could do with more staff

Called into the restaurant to see how the place is after it's refurbishment .Very nice.We chose the Indian menu.Although the menu is not vast, it does give enough of a selection to satisfy most tastes.All the food was very well presented and came in a timely manner.Absolutely gorgeous food. Beautiful. The staff were very switched on and very helpful indeed. They made our visit both enjoyable and memorable.We will become regulars here without a doubt.Can't say anything about the accommodation as we only visited the restaurant and so glad we did.Well done to all the restaurant staff and bar staff. You know how to serve a great pint of Guinness and deliver great food and hospitality. Many thanks and see you again very soon.

My 75 year old father called in here to inquire about opening times and view a menu. Went he entered there was a woman on the telephone who didn't even look up. He waited patiently for her to finish her call and after ten mins she finally acknowledged him with a "what?", he asked what time they opened and she replied "5" and went straight back to her call . He again waited a further ten mins so he could ask to view a menu while she again continued to ignore him and carry on with her call. Finally he got the opportunity to ask to see a menu and also asked if he could use the toilet. To which she replied "No, he could not!". I cannot believe how rude this woman was, Staff here definitely need some training in customer services because of her attitude she lost the restaurant a lot of money as my father's intention was to book for a party of 15 . Would never dine here !

I have visited the resturant twice in the last week as I was so impressed with the food. Staff are polite and the menu has a range of foods available. The indian starters which we tried were delicious, the chilli paneer, fish pakore and paneer bhajis are very tasty. On my second visit, I tried the fish and chips and it has to be one of the best fish and chips I have ever had! I was very impressed-prices are reasonable too. Defo will be visiting again and will make it a regular resturant to visit. Recommend a visit!

Went here with the misses for a curry as heard some good reviews and was not disappointed!! We had a selection from the menu including the Indian mix grill a couple of curries, rice and breads and everything was cooked very well. Service was quick and the waitress was very polite. Its a little more expensive than your normal curry house but well worth the extra as couldn't fault it really. Will defo be returning

Usual monthly Sunday lunch went for Sunday lunch here last Sunday, very friendly and helpful staff who seem to want to do anything for you, great food and very generous helpings, only slight negatives for some was the sweets options, but as syrup sponge was one option I was very happy, good price for what you got as well.

We booked this hotel for our family meal. We were catered for extremely well. They met all our wishes of how we wanted to seat our family. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent both English and Indian meals. Couldn't fault the restaurant - will definitely go here again

Excellent and I have to say it again excellent. Fabulous meal and service from all staff. If they maintain these standards The Beachwood will become one of Coventry's prime venues.

Booked for a family birthday meal. On arrival greeted by Asian girl gurpreet who went to seat us and then the manageress rudely told her to leave us and go and get the table ready for table of 30 guests as that was more important than us. We were just left at the door So clearly small bookings are not important well that's how me and my family felt. Manageress is rude

Visited here with family and surprised it seemed so quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Service was amazing, very attentive , professional, friendly staff. Starters were yummy (late, buffalo mozzarella and whitebait ) and the Sunday lunch is ALMOST as good as my mums home made one - which is high praise. Easily the best Sunday lunch I've had out in a restaurant in years. Everything came out piping hot (which is a rarity) and it was a large portion. Roast potatoes were great. Pork and beef cuts were tasty. Overall, great experience would highly recommend !

Enjoyed some very tasty food. Started with portion of popadoms with ample sauces, a sharing mixed grill starter was well flavoured and not over spiced would definitely recommend. Main meal was yummy even took a doggy bag. Would definitely go again.

Since the last refurbishment the friendly and helpful staff are serving a good choice of really tasty dishes. One side of the menu offers British and continental meals, on the other side is their wide spectrum of Indian classics and novelties.We started with their spicy poppadoms, which came with two home made chutneys, raita and of course a tomato, cucumber and onion salad.Then my wife chose the Chicken Karahi and I opted for the Lamb Mirch Masala. Both dishes were full of fragrance and flavour, different, and much better than we've had in a long time.We had our curries accompanied by a lovely colourful pilau rice. The Beechwood has a proper tandoor oven in place, out of which a wholemeal (fantastic!) roti came to our table.We highly recommend the Indian food at the Beechwood, next time (which will be hopefully soon) we'll check out their European menu.

The food was good and the staff were extremely helpful. The setting left a bit to be desired but I think that it will improve. The prices went some way top making up for that.

A choice of Indian cuisine and an English Menu we went for the Indian Menu although the Sunday carvery looked very nice.We went for the Indian Menu.My main dish was chicken tikka biyiani and I have eaten this dish in most restaurants in Coventry and this was by far the best quality chicken flavoursome rice with a hint of spice .There was a great choice of lager on tap.Peroni Stella carling cobra,to wash down the lovely food.Will be returning again.Well doneDean & Belinda

Having had a flyer through the door just after Xmas saying that the bar/ restaurant has had a refurb with new management and new menu we decided to give it a go. We decided to go on a Sunday evening for a meal and a drink. The new layout was nice, the staff friendly and attentive. There was a choice of the Sunday carvery menu or the Indian menu. Our waitress requested that we check the Carvery before deciding what we wanted. It looked great but we had already made up our minds before arriving to have the Indian and to sum up from all 3 of us it was great. Loved the poppadums' and at £1.45 a servings was excellent value. We will definitely return again.The bar had a nice atmosphere and a good crowd for a Sunday evening.

l was in a party ot 19 on Sunday afternoon to celebrate a friends birthday in the Beechwood bar and restaurant which is not a bad place to spend a few hours. The title of my review is mixed feelings, the positives are most of are party had the two course carvery menu at £11.95 which most people said was nice, l went for the lamb biryani at £12.95 a bit expensive but l must say properly the best biryani have ever had. Now the negatives, when we arrived for a good ten minuets they were unsure where we would be seated ( we had booked ) and the to top that when we wanted to pay there was total confusion l will definitely try the Beechwood again and l just hope they can sought them selves out.

Four off us went out for a meal to Beechwood hotel restaurant and also we had a takeaway on a different night The food was absolutely fantastic definitely would recommend you need to book as it's getting a good name for itself keep up the good work seeing you again soon thank chef

My husband & I had seen reviews regarding the new team & management so decided to try for our self.The service was very good & staff very polite. Wednesday night gives the choice of 2course meal for two including a drink for £25.we both had white bait for starter which was nicely presented& rump steak for main,the steak was of good qualityAnd cooked per request.we decided to have another drink as it was only 8.30pm the ambience & setting made us feel relaxed . The manager asked us if we would like another just before 9pm so we did while present we had 2 young girls in track suits complaining about a leaking toilet in one of there rooms which we felt spoilt the atmosphere .the staff had all gone home by 9pm & came to us to let us know the bar closes at 9.30 .we was only half way through our drink when the manager locked the main door & started switching the lights on & off.We was baffled by this because no one had said we had to be out of the building by 10pm . So it really ruined what was a nice experience to begin with& the impression was we have had your money goodnight & off you go.

We got greeted and seated straight away. The lady was lovely (short black hair, sorry didn't catch her name) the food was lovely. Easy parking. Will be back soon!

I seen this place on Facebook and thought it looked great. Visited tonight for the first time with my partner. We were both very impressed. We eat from the Indian menu and everything was lovely. The lady that served us was very helpful and efficient and did a great job. I will definitely return and highly recommend. I hope they keep to the high standards and have great success.

What a lovely place to eat. We had 2 Indian dinners, 2 steak dinners and one veg dinner. It was very nice. We all thought so. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Going back soon.

This is the first time we had eaten in this restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. The waiter was attentive and the waitress very friendly. The food portions were ample and extremely tasty. Would have no hesitation in recommending and will definitely be returning!!

Took my friend for a meal to celebrate her birthday, food was lovely, excellent service plus a complimentary dessert for the Birthday girl. Will definitely come again and recommend to all my friends.

We visited on a Saturday night 16 of us that go out on a regular basis. The restaurant has all been refurbished and looks good. There was only 3 staff on and service was poor, the bar was half covered by empty glasses. We had our table booked for 730, our main meals arrived at 945! !!! All the starter's arrived at different times. I had a curry which was lovely, but some of the party had English dishes that were not so good. We did not send anything back because of the time it took to arrive. We had no apology or explanation. So disappointed we had a lovely table but service let it down.

Came for Sunday lunch after recommendation, the welcome was lovely and the place has been refurbished so was nice inside. Soup for starter was probably best I've ever had so expectations for the main were high; unfortunately it was down hill from this point forward. Sunday dinner was really not good, from the poor quality meat to the tasteless roast potatoes and week greasy gravy their was nothing positive about the dinner and to say I was disappointed was an understatement, fellow family diners all felt the same. Desert was ok but spoilt by the powdery tasting custard and some sauce that tasted like the stuff you get on an ice cream. The restaurant has recently been taken over and they offer a choice of Indian or British cuisine I should of guessed when I saw the menu that the traditional Sunday lunch wouldn't be very good as I have never found a restaurant that provides two very different types of menu both of which are of a high standard. On a positive note family member had previously visited and had ordered from the Indian menu and said it was one of the best Indians they had ever had so will definitely return but will avoid the English menu

Visited this restaurant for the first time this evening with family and have to say was very disappointed. Soon as we arrived there was a bad attitude from staff members and did not feel welcomed at all. Really let down as the we did enjoy our food but felt as if we had to rush even though it was a very quiet night. We will not be returning any time soon which is such a shame as we were given positive views to come along. Staff need more training on how to treat paying customers.

On September 26th,my Birthday we went to the hotel for a birthday meal but im afraid we were very unhappy we did not know that Indian food was not served on a Monday and when we reordered two of the meals were not nice at all not cooked enough and the other so salty it burnt my throat and we could not eat it when the bill came we had been charged the full amount and we had to ask for a meal at least be taken off .The manager rang me when he saw what I put on trip adviser and asked us to come back and he said sorry for our spoiled evening and promised a good discount if we gave the hotel the chance to put things right .We went back last Saturday and had a wonderful evening (there were 4 of us) the food was very good indeed the staff were very good and helpful ,the pudding was yummy and could not eat another thing ,when the bill came he had given us 50% discount .So thank you very much indeed and we will come again in the future

Once again we had a lovely Indian meal at the Beechwood. The staff we friendly and efficient. One of the meals we felt was slightly dry. We spoke to the waiter and he explained it was a dry curry, but if we wanted extra sauce it wouldn't be a problem. The extra sauce arrived very quickly. Again the owner was eating at the hotel, and acknowledged that we had been in before. Friends thought it was one of the best Currys they had.

Visited on a quiet Wednesday evening for my son's birthday. I had salmon off the english menu , everyone else had indian. The food was very good and the service also.

Friendly staff, good service , nice ambience and good food. Will definitely come here again and good to see a new restaurant in our area

The service was a bit incoordinated, but it was well worth it, I have eaten there 3 times and each indian dish was fresh and to die for! You know when you have a meal and you wish you could eat it again straight afterwards, thats this place. I dont know what the rooms are like, The owners are slowly doing the place up at the moment so some of the rooms are newly renovated.

This place was surprisingly good and the service was great.We went there four of us and must say it was too our liking clean and very hygienic.We will go again and nice food .

One of the best Indian meals I've ever eaten. It's that simple. Had the prawn mebala...creamy. Spicy. Just delicious!Give this place a try

Booked a table for 4 had a great customer experience English and Indian food ordered came out together and was cooked to perfection would visit again and strongly recommend 24th September

The refurbishment is fantastic! The menu has something for even the most fussy eater. Staff are very attentive, friendly. Food was delicious. Overall a really fabulous night out. Looking forward to my next visit.

We went to visit the Beechwood after their refurbishment (and new owner) and have to say that we were really impressed! It's a definite improvement from when we were last here. There are still small areas that are undergoing refurb, but they're well away from the tables so are not noticeable - I'm sure these will be finished soon. The food is outstanding with a great menu choice of Indian cuisine and British pub grub. We will definitely be returning!

Hotel is in process of being renovated. Restaurant work completed. Have now visited twice and will be returning. The food and service was great, and there was a nice atmosphere. They serve Indian and English food,.both were really good and portions were of a good size

Great place for families.. the staff were really accommodating from the moment we walked in. Really enjoyed the food! Recommend this to everyone.

Myself and colleague were working locally so called in for an evening meal. They serve English and Indian food, for a change we ordered from the Indian menu and we're not disappointed. They have a tandoori mixed grill which was very nice. I then ordered the classic chicken korma which went down well. They also have peroni and cobra on draught. Will define the visit again as the staff and venue were first class.

We visited as a small group of friends after receiving a tempting menu through the letterbox. The place has been refurbished to a good standard and the clientele is much improved. Despite being our local we had previously avoided this place.The service was really good and the authentic Indian food was fabulous. My friend ordered the crab cakes and loved them. My Dhal Makhini was really tasty. The menu was very reasonably priced.Staff were so friendly and welcoming this place is definitely worth a visit and we shall definitely be returning.

Had a meal two days ago with friends. We all had the Indian food which was reasonably priced and delicious. No complaints and was even shown around by AV the new owner to see changes in restaurant and grounds. Still a few things to finish but I was very impressed .

Do not get this place mixed up with the previous beechwood hotel.. It has recently been taken over and had and had a major refurbishment which is still ongoing... We ate of the Indian menu and to say our taste buds were tingling is an understatement.. The flavours were Amazing!! The staff were extremely attentive to our every need and even the manager made himself known and asked if everything was to our liking... We will definitely be returning soon to taste the English menu , which also looked amazing.. they also do a Sunday menu which we will try in due course. Well done guys keep up the good work. There is a market in this area for somewhere that you have created.. See you soon.

I visited the Beechwood restaurant on 21st July with my partner and parents. Living locally we would normally avoid this place, however the hotel and restaurant are under new management and the difference is phenomenal!The restaurant offers 2 menus, English and Indian. We only tried Indian tonight however we will definitely be returning for the English soon.All of the food was of excellent quality, fresh ingredients and beautiful flavours. We had 3 courses even though I couldn't finish my main course, but was offered to take what was left home as takeaway.The service is also faultless. The manager is extremely welcoming as are all of the bar and waiter staff.You must try this place.. even if it's just to see what a difference has been made.

The Beechwood has recently been refurbished due to new management and is looking really good. A lot of investment clearly gone into it. I have to say it's refreshing to meet such a lovely guy who is so passionate about delivering good quality food and service to his customers. Congratulations not only on the makeover, but on the amazing food. Delicious Indian menu - the best I can recall ever having - and service was second to none. Plenty of English dishes too on the 'dual' menu - will be trying one of those next time. A real must - and don't be put off by previous experiences here - it's a great place for families and couples 10/10.

What a gem in Coventry had a 3 course meal and haven't got anything bad to say. The mix gill was brilliant as well as the curry dish. Good for family or mates just look for good food.

The hotel/restaurant is under new management again but this time they seems to have really made a big improvement throughout. I can't speak for the hotel as I have not stayed but the owner did say they have refurbed all the rooms. The menu is traditional punjabi cuisine which i really enjoyed the Tandoori sizzla was brilliant.

Went to this recently opened bar restaurant for food and drinks. Great atmosphere relaxed and friendly staff. Ordered off Indian menu and food was amazing. Thanks for great evening

Breakfast service non existent. Tea and coffee cold. No toast, bread, food or service for half an hour!!Did not bother ordering evening meal as food coming out of kitchen looked dry and very unappetising. Left and booked elsewhere.
