The worst biriyani i have ever eaten in my life.The quantity and taste of the biriyani is so poor.I'll not suggest any of my friends in Taunton about this restaurant

Nice enough restaurant, but for the price I was hoping for the best curry I'd ever eaten. Instead it was merely a nice curry with nice presentation and nice service. By price I mean it was £4.50 for a small glass of coke and our meal for two (starters, mains and 2 non alcoholic drinks each) came to over £70 which for us is crazy expensive for a midweek meal!

Ordered at 6pm, they advised it would be delivered for 7, 7:30 still no curry phoned and advised it should be delivered soon, 20:10 still no curry, phoned and advised the driver has still not collected, they also advised that the curry had been cooked and was in the hot oven, as we have children waiting to eat we asked to cancel as over 2 hours not reasonable, they refused to give refund and was pretty rude, I will advise against this sham of an Indian and will be asking my bank to get the money back from them

OK this is the second time that I have ordered a take away from Yarani , and I've been to three other Indian restaurants in taunton, but I have to say I really like it , very happy with the food , what people have to realise when you go into a restaurant to eat, the owners have to clean and clear tables wash dishes and pay staff, great food give a discount

Very bad experience today evening ,wait 45 mints for the order chickn tandoori and naan got extremly salty chicken which cant swallow a single bite .call the staff who is in the reception and give him for taste .he agreed as well.we were not in a mood to continue the food because the scenario make us really upset .no apology,no hospitality, literally a worst experience and asked for us to pay for naan at the end without any sorry.i wont recommend anyone YARANI.

What an absolute rip off. Ordered last night as a treat for myself and two daughters. It seemed expensive even with the so called discount. When it arrived I was appalled at the size of the starters. £5.50 for two tiny samosas, £7.50 for chicken and cheese balls that were the tiniest 3 balls of dried,burnt....well not chicken and cheese that's for sure, £4.50 for 3 tiny onion bhajis that again were dry,very over cooked and tasteless, the cheese and garlic naan which was vile at £6.50 and very small,the mixed grill was again tiny and just tasteless for almost £15. The rice was nice though as was the butter curry and pashwarri naan , but again so small. So it all came to £45 with discount and over half went in the bin. If you want a decent meal this take away is the place to avoid. Save your money and go elsewhere.

This restaurant is lit🔥 Quantity, Quality, taste is outstanding 💯.Its quite better then all the restaurants in the town.. I would like to suggest you this restaurant please. Give it a try & you will definitely like it👍

Went here in a group of 8, wish I read the reviews before hand! Staff where friendly but the food was terrible. Very over priced, £8 for a beer, £8 for a Keema rice, £15 basic curry and you don't even get poppadoms. The quality was on par with a microwave meal and the place was dead!

Absolutely horrendous, 30 minutes late delivery and food of the worst standard. 50% reduction, if I paid 100% I would request a full refund! Chicken and lamb pasanda plus chicken tikka masala ordered, 5 pieces of meat in too much sauce. Combined with attitude of delivery person who said it is not my problem for late delivery, incredibly poor offering if I could offer no stars I would!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered through a.well known 3rd party site. Order hadn't been delivered 45 minutes after it should have been. I called the restaurant to be greeted by the most obnoxious arrogant man. Who.told.me the order hadn't been pulled.off of the system and it was the 3rd parties system failure. He found the order on the system and said I had to call this 3rd party to cancel and get a refund then started telling me he didn't need my.money he could.afford.to buy my house out right ! Really......Where did that come from ? what is wrong with these people !! Subsequently I contacted the 3rd party for a.refund as we hadn't had the delivery and YARANI have told them they contacted me and delivered our food.... So guess what NO FOOD - NO REFUND !!! Absolute joke I will not ordering from this restaurant again ! Liars to say the least !

Disgusting , I ordered the food said they came and that they called,which never happened. Said they're looking for the flat but I waited for them next to the building entrance. No assistance or done anything about it. Wouldn't recommend to anyone..

Unfortunately takeaway was not very good. Chicken was soooo dry. The korma was below average but the nann was good. I won’t be ordering from here again

A couple of weeks ago we had the most awful experience, our delivery was over 90 mins late I managed to find an alternative telephone number as the one on Facebook seemed to have been taken off the hook. I spoke to who I believe is the manager who shouted at me for asking where my order was he told me we didn't have an order, we did as did it through just eat, he continued to be beyond rude to me, he then managed to find our order promised it within 20 mins, 3p mins later still no order. Such a shame the service is so poor as when we finally got our food it was very nice

ROBBED ME!!! Made me wait for 3 hours (until I gave up as it was nearly midnight), unplugged the phone and marked my order as delivered when it wasn't. No food and empty pocket AVOID

They have no idea how to run the place. It is seriously understaffed. Sat for ages before order taken, then half an hour later starters arrived with no cutlery and no drinks. We had to ask then after 15 minutes for these. The starters were nice to eat. Then the mains arrived with no rice or bread. The mains got cold and we had to send them back for reheating and remind them about the naan and rice. Naans were some of the best I have tried. The mains were also good. It seemed that one young man was taking online and phone orders and waiting on tables. The owner was not helping the situation by stressing everybody out and trying to boss his staff around. The food is good but needs to really think hard about service.

Ordered for delivery. Over 2 hours later still no food. Rung the restaurant to find out it wasn't even on its way yet. Said that we wanted a refund as it was so late, owner shouted swear words down the phone and said he's throwing the food in the bin and not giving us a refund. Robbing b*****

Absolutely awful. Ordered for delivery and when food was still not delivered an hour AFTER expected time we called... and we called... and we called!! Numerous no answers and then when we eventually got through and asked where our order was, we were cut off, not once but three times! So we called again and again no answers still, recall, recall and nothing! Then... an email to say food had been delivered???!!! Are you joking, no food, but money taken. Never have I known such a shambles. No explanation, no food and where is our money????

Real shame.food was really nice and hot but delivery was over 1 and a half hours late. Called the restaurant over 20 times and finally when you speak to someone they said they didn't have an order for us.then we persistents they say oh yes we do.the gentleman on the phone was very rude and aggressive. Food finally gets delivered and some of the food was wrong.

Six of us booked a table last night. Hadn't been to that particular Indian restaurant before despite regularly eating Indian food locally. Quite simply the food was fantastic! I had the Chilli Kerala which was delicious, perfectly balanced flavours and just the right amount of spice for me...I do like my curry to be quite hot. The naan bread was cooked to perfection. The service was prompt and efficient. So glad to have discovered the place, thank you and we'll be back.

Just had a meal here, food was very good even though served on chipped plates, sat looking at laundry corner in restaurant so feels more like sitting room certainly no restaurant feel, no social distancing. Drinks served in chipped wine glass, manager dressed in jogging bottoms and flip flops certainly not restaurant manager attire. Very expensive considering 50% off to limit of £10 per person. No track n trace details asked for. Certainly wont be back. Not sure what the £5:82 extra charge was for.

Nice decor looks great. However the waiter was in T shirt and slippers. Very little vegetarian choice. Didn't have the wine we ordered. Papardam never arrived. Specially order a medium curry but came full of chillies. Only gave the Codiv discount on mains not on rice, naan or side dishes. Very poor service but still charged 10% service charge.

Slow service, bland food and no air conditioning.

Order here regularly and no complaints normally except we ordered today and discovered they've marked their prices up a ridiculous amount. Paying £6 for a portion of rice or £6 for a naan bread (which was half the usual size) is completely unreasonable. Hopefully they adjust their pricing in the future.

Awful experience this evening. Ordered food - arrived not as expected, food was bland, tasteless, watery. Pilau rice was in fact boiled plain white rice. Immediately phoned and said we would not be eating if they wished to collect, didn't expect a refund a sorry would of been good but the guy on the phone said he would refund let us just find our order, then the phone went blank then another guy came on claiming to be the manager and immediately aggressively questioned why we had not ordered from 'the place we like instead of here' ?! Absolutely absurd.. Wanted to try somewhere new. Took the food back myself and they were equally as rude inside their empty restaurant.. Says it all. AVOID and stick to what you know!

Unfortunately after a second (of two) luke warm orders plus missing items this time. I cannot rate this place any higher. The food was, in fact, very tasty but the service leaves something to be desired. Uber is definitely not a good idea when it comes to ordering from this place.

Absolutely shocking, found a hair in my food and was then verbally abused and shouted at in my face (not observing social distances) he then locked the doors and held me and my wife against our will. I called the police and they attended and we were let out. On top of this the food was shocking, tasteless and the owner is so rude!!! On a positive the lemonade was fizzy and the ice was cold. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The meal that we had delivered this evening was delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked and the chicken was really tasty.

Absolutely awful. We thought we'd give them benefit of doubt after first time... Watery food and very late. This time watery. Wrong food. And naan bread not cooked. Awful.

If I could give less I would. Ended up cancelling the order and getting a refund. Made the order at 18.28 and was still waiting for a solution gone 21. When I rang them the guy on the end of the phone was useless had no idea what he was doing.

I ordered delivery this evening for the first time from here. My children are new to Indian food, so we were disappointed not to receive the drink with our order. However I phoned them and the driver returned immediately with the drink! Thank you very much. My children tried new foods today so I am very happy

Disappointed - not authentic Indian continent cooking at all. Several reasons - onions still hard they should be soft or blended, garlic tasted raw, the consistency of the curries was watery not rich, pretty tasteless no spice, the chicken was hard and tough. I hardly leave reviews but this is poor. I understand the establishment got busy in a short time but at least cook the onions right they were almost as hard as the onion pickle you get for poppadoms. Poor.okra also slimy should be oven cooked first then stir fried this was sloppy congealed

Deliveroo said 40min delivery time. It took nearly two hours. By the time it arrived I'd lost my appetite. Didn't even get an apology.

This is the best place in Taunton for an Indian meal with family or friends or a Romantic meal for 2 or you could collect as a takeaway or phone them for a home delivered takeaway , so many options for you for a great night of tasty food. The wife & i took my sister & her husband here for a meal as they were looking for a place for great curry and to take their employees to for a treat .the decor & ambience of the restaurant with music playing quietly in the back ground. So you can enjoy a great meal while chatting & enjoying your food .the food was hot & tasty as were the beverages. The staff dressed smartly & looked after us very well indeed .thankyou to you all at Yarani we will be back 🙏

Its one of the worst resturants in Taunton and absolute incoordination among staff in the restaurant. I Request customers not to fall into the trap of getting 20% off.They are unsure about the difference between a veg meal and a non veg meal.I don't think its an Indian restaurant ,any common man or a person will know the difference between veg biryani and you don't even find the ingredients when you order from online which is pathetic and unethical.The restaurant manager argues that egg is mixed in all veg biryani universally.I suggest people to be very careful before you order and I repeat pls do not fall in to the web on 20% since you will not find any ingredients on the menu when you order. I wish they don't deserve any star on rating I had to click the one is bcz I cant finish it without it.Pls don't misuse by mentioning it as Indian restaurant as Iam sure what a veg biryani means and ingredients added into it.

Our 1st time here and the food and service top quality.

Threatened with the police by the manager after complaining about the quality (poor and not what we ordered) and timeliness of our food (waited over an hour for our curries then another 30 minutes for our naan and rice). Too many good restaurants to bother with this poorly run one, try Guddi and Gikki

Never disappoints, Today I had the had the Jal Jal Balti - absolutely amazing, the curry itself was great and the chicken was perfect. Service is fantastic, very friendly waitress

The best indian meal we have had in the whole of Taunton and else where. So fresh tasty, chicken was so tender, the aumbience was excellent, well recommended, will be back.

I ordered the jal jal balti which was very tasty. Overall the food quality was very good but I felt the curry could do with a bit more meat in it to be perfect. I look forward to trying the other curries on the menu and will definitely order again

We tried this curry house on Wednesday we were not disappointed the flavours were lovely. This will be are regular curry house from now on.

Amazing food Amazing staff Can't believe it's not busier

Very, very tasty food. No brown sauce and onions, as one would expect from normal Indian restaurant. I Ihave eaten here at least five times now, never really hot food to cover the fact no flavour. Just delicately spiced meal. 10/10. What wonderful food is served here.

Can only rate their takeaway at the moment but it was cracking food, an early delivery, a friendly driver, reasonable prices and with a complimentary Bombay potato thrown in, what's not to like? Highly recommended and will very definitely be using them again.

Just had my first takeaway from Armida. Delicious hot food, delivered in 40mins, good price, authentic British Indian restaurant flavours and spice/heat levels. No faults...and the best onion bhajis in Taunton. Recommended!

I went to Armida with my wife and two 6 year old boys. It was mainly curry with a couple of pasta dishes. The food was very good and tasteful. You can distinguish one curry dish from the next which at some buffet restaurant's you cannot. Lots on offer considering it is a small restaurant. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was particularly pleased with how they interacted with my children and asked them if they wanted some chips, nan or chicken nuggets brought out rather than asking my wife or myself. We were all happy with the food and the choices and we all left with full tummies. I would highly recommend!
