Rendezvous Casino in Brighton and Hove

This is a great casino. They have a lot of great games including Poker tournament games! Staff very friendly and free parking. Really hope it opens again as the other casinos in Brighton just don't compare!! 🙏🙏

Whilst this review is overall negative it will be a shame that the casino is closing but I was made aware that they were looking at a new premise to move to, as the marina's rent was become economically unviable. It may also be due to the Marina possibly wanting to continue with the plan to built hundreds more flats in that area. I feel let down that the closure of the casino was not relayed to customers before the fact as it would have been nice to come and have a final gamble. I would imagine this was nothing to do with the staff at the venue as they probably only found out Sunday night. I would imagine the managers knew but Met Casinos made them keep this to themselves. I feel it is disrespectful to have not told customers before the fact but again I would imagine this is just how Met Casino's operate. I only heard about the potential move from a friend who is a gambler there with a much higher status than myself who was told by the managers. This is pretty much the only casino I go to as parking is easy and free. Any of the casinos in Brighton are a pain to get to and parking costs a fortune, not to mention you get most of the clubbers filling the place come closing time. The casino itself was good and had a good variety of games and slots. The side bets on the tables had some of the highest pay-outs of any casino I have been to. All the staff were great and really friendly and always had a good talk with them. Now the negatives. I have seen this place go massively downhill over the last few years, mainly during covid and when Met Casinos took over from Caesars Entertainment. I have slowly felt Met casinos turn this place into a profit driven business in all areas not just the gambling. They have reduced bonus offers for players and rewards for gambling there. As recently as Feb they changed the rewards system to allegedly give you better return on rewards but they also raised the amount of points required to get you to the next level. Not to mention the fact they split the levels into multiple stages whilst also reducing the rewards for reaching the next tier by a significant amount. They closed the restaurant multiple times over the last years. The old restaurant use to have a lovely menu which had something for everyone and wasn't stupid money as it was subsidized by the gambling side of things as a draw to get customers in. They then proceeded to close and only offer the players menu for a while. Then reopen offering a small plates menu which was expensive and "pretentious" being the best word to describe it. No actual meals to be had just multiple small plates priced at the cost of a meal. The restaurant lasted a few months and then closed again as predicted going back to the players menu until it closed. They also replaced all the tables in the restaurant with the poker tables this wasn't a bad thing as it made the space feel used and not just an empty void. The tables themselves are normally good however you do have some bad nights were you get no play for your money but this is gambling so I totally get that. However the slots have consistently worse over the last few years. You used to get a decent payback before but now you'd be lucky to get a £50 bonus on a £5 bet. As mentioned I have had many good nights here over the last 8 or so years I have been coming. However I have felt that this was always coming as Met Casinos became greedy and drained the place. Gamblers in the south are very different to that of the players in London or the north which I don't think they took into account. When Met casinos first took over they were very generous with their rewards and made you feel valued but I would imagine this was just a ploy to keep your business. I really do hope they find a new venue as it would be horrible to think that all the staff are out of a job. I wish them all the best and hopefully they can be moved about or find a job at one of the other casinos in Brighton.

Had some great times here, awesome venue

It was an enjoyable evening however the organisation and standard in the card room was appalling. No level clock on display, unable to display any live champions league football on the TVs despite being on multiple screens upstairs, players correcting organiser announcing incorrect blinds etc. Additionally there were no casino dealers just player dealt. The serving staff were great and so were the other players, just a shame such a large venue is being under-utilised.

Lost all my money. There was a reason I don't visit this casino! Go elsewhere. Go to pier nine. You'll have more luck of winning some money back! Spent a whole £380 and maybe only hit a bonus 5 maybe 6 times throughout my while time playing ( 2.5hrs ) on average! And the most i won was probably anywhere between £10 and £30. Very poor returns! Other people around me though kept hitting a bonus very often, triple the times I did! and they probably didn't waste near enough to what I did. 1 lady who knows the owner started playing and instantly got 3, maybe 4 bonuses in a row! It's not based on luck. It's who you know!!!!! I think their machines are rigged! Do not go here!

Atmosphere was good and services were outclass

Popped in for a spin on roulette. Grabbed a soft drink at the bar, got some chips ready to play. Had a nice chat with the other couple on the table. Game attendant very helpful. Bogs very clean!

Very poor told me I was too drunk and not to drink anymore even though I was the most sober out of my whole crew (work crew) got judged and one of my colleagues got spiked which was intended for me the manager was no where to be seen this place is a joke I will be making sure that all staff members need better training due to lack of politeness and I think next time they should think about what they say very rude and I will avoid at all costs

If you respect yourself as a player, I'd recommend going to any other London casino. While I had a huge win here (over £30k in just a few days), my experience was overshadowed by a disappointing encounter with the GRANDE general manager, Luca. He spoke down to me, likely because of my age, and made me feel like I wasn’t a valued customer. Being treated like that in front of other players was humiliating. I’ve made up my mind and I’ll never step foot in this casino chain again, and I’ll be encouraging my 1.5M followers to do the same. Rest of the staff was top-notch.

This is a great venue to enjoy a flutter - OK not the largest amount of tables compared to the size of the building but that suits me fine. Staff on the tables are always friendly and chatty. Complimentary soft drinks are always welcome too. And a nice view out over the seafront at the back too. A welcome change from the often overcrowded city centre dives out there.

This place looks really big on the outside, We were greeted on the door, Signed up and proceeded upstairs to the game table floor. Two roulette tables and two blackjack tables. It was busy and quite hard to get onto the game tables without being shoulder-to-shoulder with others. There were other tables but they weren't open. Perhaps there wasn't enough staff to open them?

We have been coming to this casino for twenty years it was always a good night out with the tables and slots downstairs which I would always win something on, since it has been upstairs you will never win a penny as I am convinced the machines have had their software altered, the machine maintenance man is very rude and impolite, as for the roulette now at £2 a spin it is just pure greed and not fun anymore since the 25p chips are no longer used or even 50p. As for the price of drinks at the bar they are astronomical with the 10 per cent surcharge it is disgusting, when you can find a barman that is. Now I hear the restaurant has closed permanently another nail in the casino coffin I think, not a nice experience all round now and we will not be returning, the whole place deserves to go bust quite frankly.

I would honestly urge everyone to stay away from this casino!! The casino is possibly the most rigged I have been to put 800 pounds in the slots and only had two bonuses paying below 50. Everyone around me was pumping money into the machines and not getting anything! The guy next to me put 600 pound in and had two bonuses which both paid nothing. I went to pier 9 the night before and spent a fraction and had multiple bonuses with decent wins. I will be reporting your casino to the gaming commission because you need looking into!

Kitchen practices are severely unsanitary, cooked oil spills, poor training of staff, no gloves worn, bad with touchpoints, got a kp with no food hygiene certificate (me) to peel potatoes when I was ill with a runny nose (sorry diners, needed the money it was contract work). Also, very bad characters running backdoor things like smoking in the loading dock. Terrrible, terrible kitchen. Good food though, mine was always made too salty for lunch. So, again,,,, not. a . good. time. Ps. Lost my daughter alice there too once, such a maze. Ticehurst casino far easier to play at

The food at the casino is incredible, highly recommend just for the resturant even if casinos don't interest you.

Visited last Friday evening just for a few drinks with my wife and was planning on staying longer but decided against this due to rendezvous now applying a service charge to the drinks purchased at the bar, shame as its a lovely casino so we had our drinks and left.

Here you can have a nice night's out, free soft drinks Staff is very polite and helpful. a nice atmosphere Ford served here also

Beer selection could be better.

Been visiting Rendezvous over the last 10 years and often eat in the restaurant. We went yesterday and were slightly disappointed due to a lot of dishes being unavailable (not great for a Saturday evening) & service wasn’t the best. I feel the menu and the overall experience is far from what it used to be. Also I think £2 minimum bet on roulette is a bit steep and will certainly put some off.

Run by monkeys. Very poor management. Expected to work over christmas with no public transport available and no taxis provided. Staff were told if they so happened to be poorly, they would have a disclipinary!

Went for lunch to see this casino. Staff at bar disappeared soon as we sat down. Restaurant floor grubby but we were hungry. Eventually a manager came over to see what was happening. Finally a bar man returned giving some excuse to the manager. The menu was mostly chicken or burger choices. So we chose chicken wraps. Our drinks were brought over. About 20 minutes later the barman came over saying no chicken available! Do you want a burger? We declined so the manager had to refund our bill. I expect more from a Casino, this one is not recommended.

A little nice stop with some friends. They have your slots, table and poker tourny. Not a massive casino like some others but it does get busy. A few more slots with more games option would be ideal but it suffice.

Had a fantastic time on the roulette tables, with a side play on the slots.. with a free slice of chocolate cake and free soda’s all night long i recommend to all that want to have a bit of fun any day at any time of the week.

Had an amazing night at the Casino at the weekend. The restaurant food was excellent. We ordered basically all the small plates and thoroughly enjoyed them all. In particular, sticky pork belly, mac and cheese, and truffle chips. All the pit bosses and dealers/croupiers were friendly and helped make our evening fun. Will defiantly revisit.

Tried to withdraw cash on my debit card at the desk rather than pay for the pleasure from the ATM. Because I'm a retired and my last part time job was driving a van for a supermarket guy at the desk decided I needed an interview with the manager. Manager was concerned that pensioners average was 12k a year and even though I explained that I had a private pension from my career job that I was happy to show him on my phone- he wasn't interested. I have been to many casinos in England and never experienced this before and frankly felt embarrassed and angry. Will never set foot in a rendezvous casino again

Christmas Dinner held here was just awful. Staff were very nice but overall never gonna go there again.

Came here for a drink after work and the staff only serve 2/3 of us and the blatantly ignored the third person over someone who had just walked over while we waited. Would be understandable if we were rude but we weren't. Ruined the experience as we probably won't come again.

If I had known it had been under investigation last year for rigging. I would of gave it a wide birth. Looks like even after the investigation there is something a miss there.

Poker room - 5 stars Roulette - 5 stars Slots - 1 star I find it very easy to blitz anywhere between 500-1000 pounds without seeing a bonus round. At which point I abandon the machine (Opinion based on many visits) Otherwise a great place.The staff are fantastic.

I love this casino. You can have a flutter or just go in to eat and drink. They have singers etc some evenings. You have to be a member to gamble, but not sure, if u just want to eat n drink. The food is lovely

First time coming back in years, now I remember why I didn't want to come back. It's tiny wasn't fun at all took a bit of money with me but hardly spent any. Slot machines were fun but not enough of them. Most of the table games weren't open. I had alot of pound coins that I wanted to use on slot machines but only could use notes which I was disappointed about that. Yes I could of gone to cashier to change them into notes but would of been nice to have that option to use coins even minimum of a £1 coin. Bar staff seemed to have issues with the draft beer at the bar and where arguing with each other. This all happened on a Saturday night. I was scratching my head after. I was there pretty much for less then an hour and went over to the Hollywood bowl slot machines had more fun there then I did here. I would recommend maybe having more tables games open on a Saturday night and you need more slot machines possibly with the option to use coins rather than notes. Bar staff need to check beer tap lines before pouring very flat beer. Unfortunately won't be attending again...

Only go to play poker tournaments, nice location and good staff

Avoid this Casino. 1. They charge a fee to withdraw money from Cash point. 2. In order to avoid the cash point fee, they insist you have to join their membership. 3. Staff are not friendly or helpful. 4. Crowd is a bit rough. Felt unsafe as soon as I walked out of casino. Strange characters lurking around casino at night. 5. Very few tables that operate. Games are sub mediocre at best. 6. Large man working in cashier should consider alternative career. Most unhelpful and limited vocabulary, kept repeating himself and didn’t make sense - possible signs mental health impairment. 7. I noticed that staff were rude to other members. The staff are excellent when signing you up for membership but after that, true colours come to surface. 8. The environment looks great on the website but reality is somewhat different. A number of online reviews have been placed by ‘design my night’. There are other casinos in Brighton which are better. Best to avoid Rendezvous.

I didn't enjoy this time. Only two roulette tables opened, and it was packed around the table. Not great as it used to be.

Staffs are kind and helpful. Place is clean and the atmosphere is great. A place to ensure safety and spend few hours on your own or with friends is fun.

1st visit here, and had a good time playing electronic roulette, nice and cosy environment enjoyed so much I'm going back tonight.

The casino is big enough but maybe because of the covid-19 they lessen the slots machine. All person who enter needs to have a casino card which is for free. For players, drinks are for free and you can order it from your seats. (what a service 😁)

Disappointed with poor service and items on the menu not available. Rushed us through first two courses like crazy then had to wait 45 minutes for dessert and a cocktail.

Food was ok. Drinks very overpriced. They were massively understaffed and also their customer service skills are sadly lacking massively. They were unable to book and reserve correctly twice. We tried to see the funny side but in the end it stopped being funny. Shame, just a waste of a decent venue and they are just fortunate with their location or they wouldn't last a month in town. Good casino with bar and restaurant

Supposed to be good. I was driving my number 21 bus. So not so good.😛

Food cold, late, cooked incorrectly. Steak looked processed. shaped like a ball. Why!!!

So I didn't quite know what to expect as I have never been in a proper casino before on arrival you are greeted by a valet who parks your car for you tips are optional but we always tip we then made our way through the front door to be greeted by the reception staff we were hear for a birthday party so gave them the details and were pointed in the direction of the upstairs area the only issue we had was one of our party is very disabled and wheelchair bound and the main lift was out of action so we had to use the staff lift that involved going through the private function area for weddings ect (that was stunning by the way it had it's very own bar and wasnt small) through some back back passages through the kitchen to the staff lift not ideal but only temporary I'm sure but once upstairs it's all very accessible with a heavy wheelchair. inside is three or four different areas so the bar area with a few roulette machines dotted about the restaurant that again is stunning a lounge area and fruit machine area and the main pit with black jack and roulette tables the staff are great always helpful and service with a smile.
