Delicious food and excellent customer service. Our server Fernando was friendly and helpful. Only knocked off a star for atmosphere as it was noisy from general chatter. Good to see the place busy but would choose a quieter time to dine again.

Served by the friendly & efficient Annia

Chrissie was our waitress and she was excellent. She made me feel at ease eating from their gluten free menu.

Browns is as usual a strange experience, sure of what it is and unsure of who I am while there. I ordered food which was both edible and eaten. The mango and champagne sorbet dessert was good so that ended my meal nicely. Unfortunately the food is mostly British style which leaves the restaurant struggling for qualities such as flavour and contrasting texture. The server was great and very helpful, the spider was also very friendly.

Lovely meal at Browns tonight prawn linguine was perfect and nice wine to accompany it! Atmosphere was good music not too loud and server Chrissie was very attentive and polite and great sense of humour. Browns always delivers.

Excellent all down to the precious treasure that is Chrissy. A fairy Godmother. ... and the apple crumble. Fish and chips a little dry, chips a bit undercooked but complete excellence from Chrissy. Friend noted her salad was a bit expensive for what it was (Mango and Kale). A nice evening shared with a friend overall.

As a M&B employee it pains me to write such a review. We visited the restaurant around 10:30 looking to grab some breakfast before catching our train to be told it was closed until 12:00. If the place was still not open surely someone would take the initiative to update the opening times.

Chrissie looked after us well. The food was great and we will definitely recommend to all friends and family.

There were efficient waiters, but environment was cold and noisy.

I've been here a few times - generally OK. On my most recent visit I have to say very good. Food rates 5-6 on a scale of 1-10, but I am always harsh on that rating. But I've chosen to rate because staff, on this occasion, were absolutely excellent. It was quite warm that day - we've not had many in 2024 - but sat at the rear of the restaurant, with plenty of roof skylight, it was pleasant and very comfortable. Some friends have visited in the last few months and were not impressed. But whilst pricey - but then everywhere is now - I will come back.

What a great find, stumbled across Brown’s by accident and glad we did, a lovely visit. A friendly greeting at the door, fast service, great food. I had the Lobster Linguine which was really fresh and delicious, my friend had Chicken Ceaser which she said was great too. The wine menu look good but we had cocktails which were lush.

Food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it for my daughter's wedding brunch. Many thanks Mike J

Today, Sunday 25th August around 6:30pm, my Auntie and her two friends entered Brown’s Brasserie Restaurant in Brighton and asked for a table. The front of house staff at the door, a male with blue hair, told us “we are fully booked there’s no spaces”. However there were multiple empty tables in the restaurant with no reserved signs. On their way out, they overheard another group of 4 men who were waiting in the queue behind us ask the same blue haired male staff for a table for four and they were given a table straight away. They couldn’t understand why the men got a table without a reservation but they didn’t, but when they tried to ask they were told to leave the premises. Once my Aunt and her two friends left the premises a customer from the restaurant walked out and stopped us and said “I have walked out of this restaurant as we don’t agree how you have all been treated”. He also told us that the alleged reason we were turned away was because “we have been to this restaurant before and didn’t pay bill”. This is completely untrue - my Aunt and her friends have never dinned at this restaurant before, and haven’t been to Brighton in 20 years. They went back into the restaurant to contest this awful allegation, which is still left unresolved. This is completely unacceptable in this day and age. My Aunt and her two friends were believe they were racially discriminated. The only other difference between them and the male group who were seated after them is that they are white and they are black. This experience completely ruined their day, leaving them feeling victimised.
