Arrived at 12.50 on 23rd May with a friend. Sat down as menus were on the table but just as we were about to order at the counter a large group arrived, at least 20, grabbed menus and queued. Asked politely if we could be served first as we had arrived first but were met with a flat refusal, so left. Thought that was most unhelpful.

A real little gem of a place! Delicious food at a reasonable price. Been for a few times now & the breakfasts are really good. Really liked the service, friendly & smiley staff. Would definitely recommend.

I regularly meet friends here for lunch and coffee. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. Lately there appear to have been some issue with food service from the kitchen but this is always dealt with in a professional way by the staff that are serving. The coffee is alway good too.

Unbelievably poor service 6 meals ordered took 50 minutes for the first to arrive and 15 minutes later for the 6th child meal to arrive Been coming here since the summer at least 2 per month and the service has deteriorated dramatically

We love this very friendly cafe, the staff are great, our dogs get a lot of fuss and the food is excellent. There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the food is very good value. A good place to meet friends for lunch or just cup of coffee, good tables outside for dog owners.

Very satisfying and reasonably priced mushroom omelette and side salad, washed down with a flat white coffee, in this hidden gem of a cafe. If you don't want to go into the centre of town for a bite to eat, head to the Rufus Centre. Great food in an attractively decorated cafe, with the option of outside seating - ideal for alfresco eating.

A large group of us enjoyed brunch at the Rufus Centre and were very pleased with the range of choices and especially impressed with the friendly and professional service. The staff were ready to do whatever the customers needed to make our visit a success.

What a lovely gem of a pub. Very friendly pub in a lovely little Bedfordshire village! We were here today for a Sunday roast and after eating out at more expensive restaurants in the area and being disappointed by their high prices and average food, this was on another level, it was beautiful!! Everything was freshly cooked and home mad at a very reasonable price. Shall definitely be returning.😁

The staff were pleasant and the food was fine but oh so slow! From the time we arrived we were waiting at every stage. Waiting to be seated, there was no one in sight. Eventually we were shown to our seats and waited again for someone to take our order, waited again and, after being there over 30 minutes, our tea and coffee arrived, but no milk. The coffee was fine but the tea wasn’t hot, but drinkable as long as I drank it straight down. Another long wait for sandwiches and again a wait for cakes. I would have preferred everything to arrive at once so that I could decide how long to take to eat them. As it was we were there over 2 hours and I was bored. I would hate to be there if it was full as today less than half the tables were taken. Not the best experience of afternoon tea I’m afraid.

Stopped in for a tea, coffee and scone for the first time this weekend as we happened to drive past. It was all lovely and reasonably priced. However it is disappointing that a venue in such a prime countryside location doesn’t at least allow dogs inside somewhere. I imagine their foot traffic would increase substantially if dog walkers could come in for a post/pre walk refreshment.

This place could be amazing but it is lacking atmosphere and the food is very ordinary. It needs a total overhaul. Everything feels dated and they need to look at other restaurants/brasseries in other area. It always seems half empty. Wouldn't go back again.

Yeh good in here. Nice beers. Closed very early though (Sunday 6pm🤔). Is it a pub, or a pub in disguise? Either way, definitely worth a visit.
