Looks lovely place. Had the sharing platter. Meat on masses of nasty tasting rice. Strongly advise you to not use the rice you use. It tastes like pudding rice. Use bulgar wheat. And the chicken was so dry. Hopefully you take advice from this as just trying to help. Sadly the rice and chicken let it down for us. Try bulgar wheat you won’t regret it

Returned to Relish as we had such a lovely experience last time. Did not disappoint as everything was just as good. My husband had the sea bream which was beautifully cooked. I had the lamb cutlets which were very tender accompanied by a marvellous salad and rice. We had started the meal with a few small plates of mezze including olives, dolman, hummus . I cannot recommend this place highly enough as to add to the above is efficient and friendly service.

Delicious lamb ribs and mixed shish. We had delivery and they accommodated to a specific mix of salad, that was very kind of them. In addition, we were really impressed by the wings and the flavour in the rice.

1st and last time! The quality is shockingly bad. Looked like a minute steak, tasted bland, no colour or char to it anywhere, so thin. Chips covered in some spice rub. Peppercorn sauce was like milk. Lady deliverer was rude and didn't even interact.

I didn’t mind that the order was a little late, but was disappointed that the dishes arrived luke warm with the Adana dish stone cold. The flavours were lovely, but we were hoping for a delicious hot meal so feel a little let down.

Very good meal at Relish. Our third visit and not our last. We have holidayed many times in Turkey, and this is the most authentic Turkish restaurant we’ve been to in the uk. Lots of delicious options, and the kids love it too. We highly recommend.

This is an edit to a previous review for this restaurant, as it has now changed hands, and I can't seem to create a new review. My partner, son and I had lunch here a couple of days ago (19th December 2024). We ate from the set lunch menu, which was exceptional value, and all the food was really delicious - we had a mix of falafels, houmous, and filo-wrapped cheese plus lamb and kebabs for mains. Even the side salad was generous in portion, fresh and super-tasty. We will definitely be making Relish one of our regular haunts... Original review: A delicious meal with very attentive and thoughtful staff. Very adaptable and customer-centric approach; was able to get prawns cooked in a slightly different way from that noted on the menu, with no issue. This is the second time we have eaten here since Vincento took over ownership of the restaurant. We will continue to eat here and a big thank you for a lovely evening and meal.

We ordered over the phone very efficient delivery was good food hot. This was a birthday meal for my 16 yr old grandson. Mentioned it when ordered and they sent him a pudding with birthday boy on it. That little touch ment a lot and they overcharged on line I didn’t realise but the delivery driver apologised and returned a £ 6.90 overcharge thank you relish it was amazing foot truly all full.

The staff were kind and always asked if you were enjoying the meal. Cozy atmosphere with heating for the winter and soft jazz music. The food is amazing and was presented well, but you can get only a small bowl of spaghetti for about £11, which is a bit pricey. Suitable for special occasions!

Good food just didn't like the babaganoush much. It tasted bought in and has a chemical smoke additive flavour. There is yogurt in it which is not usual and means vegan friends can't eat it.

We very much enjoy lunch at the Relish today. Delicious food from the 2 & 3 course lunch menu, friendly staff, well presented restaurant & nice atmosphere too. We will be back to explore more of the menu. It's a hidden food gem in Uckfield.

I do not belive this restaurant even deserves a one star. This is my first time in Uckfield and I was very much disrespected by Steven and his collegue (girl couldn't speak English properly). I left my cigarettes in my vehicle and when I returned I was told that they thought I was going to run away. This was before being served the food so essentially they thought I was going to run away from a £7 JD and coke. Furthermore, I was charged extra for a coke that was not purchased which was later corrected after being told I should take the coke as a take away just to make a extra couple of PENNIES. Free advice, do not judge people especially when im a customer. I live in London and I'm a Chartered accountant and auditor with ACCA. To be little me over a £10 bill is highly disrespectful and on top to be charged extra and the girl that spoke to me rudly after hearing all the issues is even worst. Maybe if you understood the English language better you'd understand that I was disrespected and you should of made my experience better by at least smiling (I didnt even ask for a discount for the poor service). I would not recommend this place at all. Don't waste your money here. I recommend Zorba in Lewes. Maybe these members of staff will know how service should be provided in the UK.

Food was so yummy. My husband was so happy that the food was exactly like when he went to Turkey years ago. Said he's wanted to have food like this for years but there never was a place local to us that made it like they do. The rice was so yummy and the meat was was really nice and tender. Would definitely reccomend this place for takeaway or eating in.

Awesome, hidden gem. Food was excellent, staff friendly, the location really quiet and tucked away, but just off Uckfield High St, overlooking the river. Super impressed. Lovely dog lives here too, haha. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to pop in for lunch and a cold drink

Finally went after seeing alot of positive reviews on Facebook and Google, I have to say it did live up to the hype. The service was great, and both guys working the front were brilliant and very friendly. The food was awesome, you could really taste the fact it had been grilled with charcoal. We had the mixed grill so me got to taste all they had to offer and it really hit the spot. Will certainly be returning.

Came here for my birthday for the first time on a Sunday and I wanted to say what an amazing experience it was. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Food was DIVINE!!! Food was very average, but quite over priced. I have tried the majority of Turkish restaurants around East Sussex, and unfortunately it wasn't the top of my list. I had the Lamb Shish. It was quite dry and overcooked. Service was good. I wasn't too happy about my coke being 3/4 full. When I mentioned this to the waiter he said it was a wider glass 😂, it was £3.45 and he could of at least topped the glass up. Overall I wish them the best, but I've had better experiences and food at other Turkish restaurants locally.

Third time going to Relish. Servers very polite and attentive. Atmosphere was lovely. Beautifully decorated with accessories orange and lemon trees and more. Lightning lovely. Food was excellent. 4 of us shared a cold meze. Then we had 2 mixed shish, a chicken shish and a vegetarian meal with mushrooms, aubergine and tomato with rice. Great service and lots of quality drinks. We had a fantastic evening and was there for 3 hours. Looking forward to going again. Highly recommend.

Kebab with Style - We had the Grill for 2 with extra fries & it was Ok for 3. Delicious flavours that remind me of holiday in Turkey; Lovely bread, Tender Meat, Great Meze Sauce, Amazing salad with Pomegranate, Flavourful Sticky Rice - Impressed!

Without doubt, the food cooked at Relish is spoilt at every turn. we had six dishes and every one of them was overcooked, the fish was completely dried out. The lamb kofta was like a piece of wood. The chicken was like rubber and the lamb was completely inedible. The service was slack and the attitude of the staff was that we were a nuisance. The table next to us was left uncleared for an hour. This was a very bad experience at very high expense. We will never return. To cap it off a secretive, 10% service charge was added to the bill, although this was not mentioned on their tatty, doggy menu.

The only place I can recommend in uckfield is smiling face.

I visited this restaurant quite late on a Tuesday night, and the staff were very accommodating in serving good quality food. I had the lamb chops served with warm Turkish bread.

Our first visit to this restaurant with friends, will definitely return, lovely ambience, also busy with very mixed aged tables. Our server he was lovely never got he’s name but he was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the food. My friend and I had a cocktail to start really nice not having premixed cocktails they were delicious, we wanted a bottle off rose wine but they only advertised an Italian wine, not very keen on Italian wines the server asked would we like to try the Turkish Rose he brought us over a taster it was very nice. We all had starters all presented very nice and we all said very tasty. Our mains varied from traditional Turkish kebabs to pizza and seabass. Presentation was very good with tasty side salads with pomegranate seeds. All very hot and well cooked. We had 3 different desserts delivered everyone said all tasted great. Followed by espresso coffees and Turkish coffee. Will be returning as pizzas looked really nice.

Went with my friends for dinner. We were greeted by Steve our lovely waiter. Steve was very respectful and polite. Our food came quickly and was very delicious. We were staying at the Sussex National Spa in Uckfield and felt like dining out, only 7 minutes drive away. We really appreciated our chef Morat (not sure if i spelt his name correctly) coming out to greet us. Great customer service 👏.
