Relish Real Burgers in Hertsmere

Not the place for a meal out. The restaurant was unwelcoming and lacked ambience. No background music or noise, which probably wasn’t helped by no customers in a place of about 20 covers. The only sound was of the fridge / freezer which was loud. Shame as I imagine this place once busy when it opened but has likely changed hands. The food was average. I have had better burgers for the same price. They also don’t do alcohol (no licence I expect) which isn’t an issue but a bit odd for a restaurant. Definitely more of a take away place you can sit in but we won’t be back. Unfortunate as liked the idea of a local burger bar.

This place has gone downhill. There was 1 person running the whole restaurant. Waited ages to Be served and the restaurant was not even busy. Terrible service. Walked out and went somewhere else.

Got the order wrong! Also, lazy delivery driver just left it on the door handle. Avoid

My family and I went for dinner for my husband’s birthday. The restaurant was extremely quiet, which we just put down to it being a Wednesday evening, but after our disappointing meal, we are now wondering if that is why? We have had numerous takeaways from here in the past and never been disappointed, but this meal was sadly a major disappointment. Standards and quality of ingredients seem to have really slipped. The ketchup and mayo are cheap quality condiments. The onion rings used to be all different sizes and super crispy, but were like frozen ones that had been heated through - very disappointing. The beef ribs, were extremely disappointing with hardly any meat on them and a really cheap barbecue sauce smothered all over them. Overall a very over-priced and disappointing meal. Sadly we won’t be returning, which really saddens me! It’s not the same place it used to be!

Ordered delivery on just eat with an hour expected arrival time, the food eventually arrived an hour and 40 mins later. Upon arrival we discovered the food was freezing cold. When ringing the restaurant to inform them that the food they had delivered felt like it had been sandwiched between 2 bags of ice for a few hours the manager began to tell us it was our fault for living too far away (we live a 6min drive away) He then decided to try to explain to us that it was a Friday night and we shouldn’t expect hot food on a Friday due to them being busy. (Not sure how that one works) After asking what the next steps were to rectify this, he continued to shout down the phone and try intimate a young female before taking a leaf straight out of the childish handbook and hanging up the phone. After spending the next 5 minutes trying to call back, a waitress answered and informed us she would process a refund and the manager didn’t want to talk to me. I don’t know if the manager was having a bad day or he just enjoys sending out cold food and shouting at paying customers but if I were you I wouldn’t take the chance. Wasn’t sure if it was apparent from the above but I won’t be returning.

DO NOT ORDER! Food was 30 mins late, and then cold when it arrived. The manager on the phone was rude and abrasive - said it was our fault the food is cold because we don’t live close enough (7 minutes away) to the restaurant and it’s a Friday night. Refused to help and then hung up….

Hard to find an independent burger place like this. Amazing property, with lots of comfortable six-seater booths. Friendly staff. Selection of Burgers is fantastic, including several vegetarian options. I had the Haloumi stack with sweet potato fries. The burger was great and the fries tasted perfect. I came back again when I had some time to spare, ordered a smoothie and chilled in a booth whilst using the laptop with free wifi. The smoothie was just delicious. Highly reccomended.

Absolutely loved our meal, the burgers were delicious, as were the Korean Wings. Packaging was great and food arrived hot! Would love it if you did pots of cheese sauce to dip the burgers in! Will definitely order again.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! If I could give 0 stars I would. My 62 year old mother came to eat with her sister and were served cold burgers. They simply asked for the burgers to be warmed or replaced. The male CHEF then started to take his apron off and storm over to the table - he then began to INSULT my mother, belittle and be rude to them. Horrific service could not be more shocked. Disgusted! Will be making sure everybody knows what kind of service is offered here!

Food arrived cold. It has before too, so I won’t be ordering delivery from here again. Burgers reheat OK, but the chips don’t taste fully cooked the first time.

Didn’t realise they were closed, but took my order for a collection but when my husband went to collect, they were closed, but shows on just eat that it has been collected?? Still waiting to see if payment is taken.

Ordered food for delivery this evening at around 7pm, estimated delivery 7:30-7:50. Had some patience amd waited until 08:30 to call. After 30 failed attempts at calling we gave up as they didnt answer the phone. Meaning that phone was calling for a LONG time with it just being ignores. Real shame we didnt get to try the food but that level of service is just embarrasing if you cant handle the order dont accept it or contact your customers, what a joke

Very quick delivery, around 25 mins, food well packaged and still warm. Good helping of chips and burgers are big, well made, and tasty. Perfect meal and reasonably priced.

Burger was missing the bacon and cheese, wasn't flame grilled & was dry. The wings aren't marinated in the sauce, like you might think, they're average breadcrumbed wings with BBQ or whatever sauce just squeezed over the top! Meh! won't try again

I paid £2.80 for a bottle of diet coke. I assumed this was the 1.25 ltr bottle which is £1.30 in tescos. When it arrived it was a single 330ml bottle. I expect to pay a premium from a restaurant and a delivery but this is in my opinion profiteering and a rip off. Please make is clear on your menus the portion sizes.

The place is very tastefully done out and is well matched to the food. The milkshakes were delicious thick and tasty. The burgers are succulent and itnis a lovely place to eat.

Chicken Stack is only 4 strips and costs £10.95 with fries! 1 box had tiny strips. Chips were cooked well but had no seasoning. Chicken was tasty but disappointed at price for what it is.

Bloody excellent succulent stylish with great service!!! Unlike most burger places that promise much and deliver little, this promised, much and delivered it in spades… really accident, and that was just a chicken. I can’t wait to try the burger !!

I paid extra for gherkins on the Greek burgers but neither of them had them. Found the Greek burgers quite dry. Everything else was lovely.

Soggy and cold chips, no seasoning on them at all. The burger meat itself was tasty as was the dressing and salad garnish itself, however the bun was chewy. I think on the whole the meal just didn't travel well, a shame all in all.

Yummy food!! Crispy bean burger!!! They’ve not just put veggie food on the menu for the sake of it. They made sure we don’t miss out on a proper burger. The staff are also really attentive! We went with kids and we didn’t feel awks with them at all.

Not sure if there's new management at this restaurant. For around 2 Years these guys were at the top of their game. Now, it's been replaced with extremely sloppily made and soulless, careless food. If only i had a time machine!

This place is underrated! It's clean, funky and modern. Love the interior! The music is always on point and there is decent food options for vegans and vegetarians. The food is super fresh! My family and I have come back after a long time and are wondering why its been so long. We have really enjoyed our experience! Highly recommend it.

There was 4 of us who went to Relish Real Burgers, from the time we enter till the time we left, we were treated like kings. The place was a fantastic place to go with friends or families and the food was amazing. Very friendly staff and very helpful staff and overall I would go again again again because that's how one should have a feeling about a place, so he can recommend to friends and family members. Go on and check it out for yourself.

Amazing and very hospitable new owners of the shop. The food was amazing and a lot better than I remember, the staff have always been great, I really enjoyed the BBQ beef ribs, and at a very reasonable price too!!!

I ordered their Beef Flanken Ribs in BBQ sauce and the Yanky. Both were delicious, especially the ribs. The ribs were tender and cooked to perfection. Five stars!

Always a great place to visit for a burger and a shake

Never Open!!!!! I have attempted to eat at this place 2 times in the last week! Saturday and Sunday, both of which I checked their openings hours on their website and ensure to got at the correct times! If the restaurant has closed down they need to update their website and leave a sign on the door! Alternatively, update their opening hours?

The best vegan burger so far I tried. Always friendly stuff, good service. The place is clean, kind of an industrial style. Love it!

Ordered food two hours ago today. Its nearly kids bedtime we are yet to have the delivery. Not happy.

Read some great reviews and was travelling through so gave it a try. the burgers are not home made patties and overcooked. the 'Big Greek' didn't smell right, and was not great. fries also very disappointing. i won't be going back

We enjoyed our first lovely meal here for my nephew's 11th birthday. Burgers were yummy and not too greasy at all, we were all really pleased with our meals and the desserts too, Also plenty of veggie burger options for the birthday boy! Randomly found this place as I fancied a nice burger place and it sure did not disappoint. The service was very good, the restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. The food was delicious and portions were perfect. We ordered the nachos to share and they were the best I’ve had ever (very filling too!). Buffalo wings were tasty and milkshake was fresh (may add it prob need to be slightly thicker but still good 😊). Overall I recommend this restaurant.. they do takeaway / delivery too!

Great atmosphere and lovely staff, we have been welcomed with a big smile and lovely chat. Sat down and got recommended couple of dishes, everything was really nice. The management is Greek and they know how to do hospitality!

Relish is consistently excellent for food & service - my husband & I have been dining here (& ordering from here) for years. We stopped by the other day for lunch and just always feel so welcome & chilled. I usually have a classic beef or chicken burger & sometimes the chicken stack. There are also excellent veggie options for my partner. Milkshakes are great too! Yummy food, lovely staff - Relish will always be a favourite!

Went to relish burger in Potter Bar on Saturday night and it was a fabulous experience. A warm welcome from one of owners Anna as we walked in. We both ordered the barbecue ribs and they were amazing, fell off the bone, the chips were crispy & delicious. Suffice to say we will be back for more of the same and maybe try a few of their other sides which all looked delicious, but there’s only so much you can eat. Cannot recommend enough…thank you for a lovely experience Anna.

Brilliant!!!! So happy i can get relish delivered to my home. I grew up in the restaurant game and can honestly say that this place is amazing. The burgers / ribs /milkshakes and everything else is to die for - spot on!! Their hygiene is great as its always so clean when you go there and the staff are all so welcoming and nothing is too much bother for them. Even when my friends come round they make sure we order relish as they live further out. Decor and booths are great too!! Keep doing what your doing and see you soon- can't wait !!!

Once again visited all the way from Norwich, another great meal and service, only thing I would like to see is more fries with my meal but apart from that it was spot on, nice juicy burger and lovely alcoholic shakes 👍🏽

Great food in this local diner. We had our second meal here last night and it didn’t disappoint. The burgers were great and milkshake heavenly. The staff are polite friendly and attentive. It pays to book if you want a booth but we sat on the sofas at the front and to be honest I think we preferred it. The background music was 80s jazz funk, which was right up our street too!! I’d definitely recommend this place. Keep up the great work guys.

Restaurant was empty so food came quick. Staff is friendly. So its all ok up to this point. That smell on that burger was not nice at all Reviews says its lovely food but the reality is disappointment. We went there for lunch with the family and from the moment we arrived to moment we left we were made to feel welcome and received a warm and attentive service. The burgers, the sides and the shakes were fantastic, the whole family were extremely happy with their meals, even the fussy 8 year olds! We all absolutely love Relish Burgers and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and will be going back very soon.

Highly recommend if you like burgers! Great selection on the menu. Food always comes out quick, good portion sizes and most importantly it’s really nice food at a completely reasonable price. It’s always clean in there and the staff are lovely. Nice relaxed environment too
