Relax Coffee Lounge And Cafe in Mid Devon

This is a real gem in Dorchester. We love the coffee best in the area. The food is always excellent. The staff are very good always very helpful and service with a smile. Lovely place to meet up with friends and enjoy the lovely open space. Not sure why they were closed today Friday 5th August, but did hear that it might be closed for a while due to on going dispute. Be a real shame if it does close as it was a good find with excellent coffee.

Came across this Gem as where we had planned to go was closed. Thought we would give it a go as from the outside it looked friendly and pretty chilled. Lovely atmosphere and the Breakfasts were tasty and reasonably priced. The Chef was happy to change the eggs from fried to scrambled Really spacious with various seating to eat and relax. Looked clean and helpful, pleasant staff. We will defiantly be going again

Very nice, spacious and stylish cafe with reasonably priced menu. Had a cranberry and Brie baguette which was very tasty and served with a extensive side salad and crisps. Perfect lunch spot.

popped in for sunday lunch fantastic service both meals perfection and staff a joy to to see a well run establishment quick service good food and a pleasure to have staff who smile will be going back thats for sure :-)

My first visit. I ordered a veggie breakfast with chips. First the positive. The cappuccino was hot and reasonable quality. The not so positive. The veggie breakfast arrived with chips. The mushrooms were sliced incredibly thin and were saturated with oil. The tomato was cold and hard. However, the worst part was the veggie sausage. It looked an awful grey and was rock hard. I literally could not cut it with the knife provided. I believe it might have still been part frozen. The accompanying chips were also under cooked. All in all, a very poor quality meal. I didn’t eat any of the meal and left. I would not recommend this establishment.

This place is a little gem within dorchester, if you want quality food at reasonable prices, you can't go wrong if you visit here. The staff are so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, it's a lovely clean cafe with a wonderful atmosphere. Easily 5 stars *****A+A+A+

Excellent customer service. We only wanted a cup of tea but were treated as if we were having a three course meal. Will definitely return when hungry.

Popped in there today for a light lunch. Good food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a coffee or bite to eat .

On our visit to Dorcester we popped into Relax as it looked clean & welcoming from outside. We chose a table, were greeted & our order taken very quickly by a friendly man. Had lovely sandwiches, bread so fresh & soft served with crisps & salad. Mocha was delicious although I regretted going for a small! Very nice experience, friendly & helpful staff.

My daughter, granddaughter and myself decided to give Relax lounge a try for lunch and WOW it was amazing. To start with the staff were great very attentive and all with a SMILE, first impressions mean so much 😀. The food was DELICIOUS although we only had sandwiches I must say it was a platter, very well presented and it came with a really tasty side salad and crisp. We also had a portion of chips which were amazing. The coffee ☕was as good as I've ever had and I'm quite particular about my coffee. The establishment itself was clean and tidy. THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS A LOVELY EXPERIENCE. 😍 You'll certainly be seeing us again. From grandad John, daughter Sarah and granddaughter Lillie.

My hubby and I popped in for coffee, there was a great selection of scummy cakes, and a choice of meals from jackets, soup and pastries. The staff were friendly and helpful and the new manager was extremely friendly and professional. If your looking for a relaxed atmosphere and a quick bite to eat this is the place.

Was told to find a table and someone would come take our order.. But no one came. Service quick and breakfast tasty. I could swap an item (bacon for hash browns) but would've been nice for plate to include tomatoes and mushrooms. But personal choice comments. And usually places offer choice of how eggs are cooked. Only fried offered and they don't have facilities to do poached. I've eaten lunch here too and jacket potatoes and cheese yummy

We had a veggie breakfast and a Gluten Free breakfast. The chef came out to speak to me about my food intolerance and came up with different options for me to choose from. He and the staff were lovely and it was so nice to feel that my difficulty with allergens was not a problem. Breakfast was just the job!

Thought we would try this cafe out as not been before looked good so took a table out side husband placed order 10 minutes in to placing order a young man come out to say they could not do all are order so made small change to order but when it did come out 20 minutes mine was wrong so they took it back they did apologise they did say when you finish your food the manger would refund are money food ok but would not go back

I just wanted a snack and a drink. Quality was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but there were a lot of customers in over lunchtime and all the staff (mostly young) were working very hard. Simple surroundings but none the worse for that. Toilets very clean (very important). Recommended.

I went to Relax Coffee Lounge for lunch the other day. I had a sandwich which was prepared fresh in front of me. It was delicious with loads of filling. The staff were all friendly and chatty. Very nice atmosphere.

Really tasty food and good portions. A great place if you have an hour to kill in Dorchester. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

My friend & I went to this cafe for lunch today with 4 young children. Our lunch was served quickly & was delicious. At one point my toddler ran off behind the counters before I could stop him (he’s fast!). The staff were so lovely...
