This is a must visit when in London! An old school diner with fantastic food and generous portions! This is what exactly what I think of when I think Diner. Fast friendly service, a great seating plan for everyone to get a seat, and food, the food is great. Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Fresh Coffee, Hot Milk, Delicious Orange Juice. If you miss it, you missed out!

Previously loved this London cafe. Took my 10 year old daughter today for her first visit. Long queue as always and most of the tables were empty so I told my daughter to sit at a table for two in the corner out of the way while I queued, she wasn't depriving any customers of a table so wasn't causing a problem. Manager stormed over and shouted at my daughter 'Lady you need to queue', I explained she was with me but he still made her get up and come and queue. After a few minutes I guess he realised his reaction has been pretty aggressive and over the top. He told my daughter she could sit down and he was charming after that. But the damage is done, we won't be back. It has been a family favourite but I don't need this kind of bad attitude.

What a delightful surprise on my morning stroll in London today. As I was initially passing by I noticed a lengthy queue outside the establishment so I decided to come back in an hour. The queue was still just outside the entrance and I waited in line to see what all the attention was about. I realized I had stumbled upon a landmark business which serves a variety of homestyle dishes alongside fast friendly service in a cute art deco atmosphere. I opted for the daily special the braised steak and it did not disappoint. The man behind the counter serving up dishes remembered my name and bid me farewell. It was an excellent experience and one I recommend you try while in London.

It is a small restaurant, you enter and queue to order, varied options of typical food and excellent prices. Basic breakfast beans, egg, bacon, chorizo, bread and drink for £7 The only thing you should consider is that the man who serves yells at his clients and employees, there is a climate of tension, in my case, I am sensitive to good service, I would not return just to encourage this type of behavior.

I have come to this restaurant many times over the years and seen it expand and grow. It has a perfect position on the seafront opposite the historical (and now dilapidated) West Pier and the modern i360 viewing tower. The food is always scrumptious, and I invariably go for the fish because it's caught locally and is, therefore, distinctly fresh. Possibly even better than the food is the service. My last visit was a bustling Saturday afternoon (early September), and it was heaving with customers. But this had no impact on the service level or waiting time because there are staff everywhere! How wise to invest in ample, well-trained staff and reap the dividends of top class service. Finally, considering all these factors, the cost of a good meal does not require you to take out a loan (as might be the case if you eat in The Lanes!), and is worth every single penny. Go there any time of the year, and I would be shocked if you didn't come away content and resolved to return there again.

Spectacular English breakfast, with beans, black pudding, fried egg, grilled tomatoes, bacon and toast. The place is not very spacious, it is a bit seventies, but it is well worth it. A large group of cooks and the boss, who with his gentlemanly appearance and tenor voice, calls each one as the dishes come out, while taking note of the beehives and making the toast in a small toaster. Be careful because there is a line to enter.

The Regency Cafe was a standout choice for trying a traditional English breakfast, and I’m thrilled to say it absolutely lived up to the hype. While there was a bit of an anxious moment lining up and watching the empty tables fill up, scoring a spot felt oddly triumphant and added to the excitement of the experience. The food was simply outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed beans on toast, a dish I hadn’t expected to love. The streaky bacon was top-notch, and the egg was cooked to perfection. I didn’t anticipate becoming such a fan of the English breakfast, but this place converted me. Since our visit, I’ve been recreating the experience daily with beans, toast, and streaky bacon in our Air BnB. The Regency Cafe delivered a memorable breakfast that exceeded all expectations.

**Review of Café Regency** I recently visited Café Regency and, to be honest, I’m puzzled by the positive reviews this place has received. My experience was far from great, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was transported back to Poland in the 1960s—an atmosphere that felt outdated and uninviting. The food quality was disappointing, to say the least. While the prices were low, you truly get what you pay for. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness, making it clear that the focus is on cutting costs rather than providing a satisfying dining experience. It felt more like a cafeteria than a café. To top it off, the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Good service can elevate even a mediocre meal, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. It felt as if they were going through the motions without any genuine interest in making customers feel comfortable or valued. Overall, my visit to Café Regency was underwhelming. If you're looking for a quality dining experience, I would recommend exploring other options. Sometimes, paying a bit more can lead to a much more enjoyable meal.

There was a 20-minute queue when I arrived on a late Monday morning in August. For me the highlight of my visit isn't the food, but the lady tending the cashier. I could hear her robust voice yelling out the orders outside the cafe and I presumed she was a male! The efficient way this cafe operates reminds me of the chaotic cha chaan teng's in Hong Kong. Customers have to order the food first before securing a table, no table hogging is allowed (I saw the lady boss tell people off who tried to do so). It's nice and fair to me. Taste-wise, the food was nothing special for me as I am not a fan of English breakfast, but it's served hot and fresh unlike in most hotel breakfasts. Would I come here again? Probably not. But this charming old cafe is worth visiting. It's getting so hard to find places that serve honest and affordable food in Central London. And no service charge. And a glass of milk only costs 1 quid.

Would give more stars if I hadn’t witnessed the restaurant owner publicly shame two patrons (loud enough for everyone to hear, nearly shouting across the counter) for accidentally collecting wrong orders. 💭 Regency Cafe @ Pimlico, London, UK. The Regency Café opened in 1946 on Regency Street, near Westminster London. This popular place has been voted as the fifth best eating place in London on Yelp in 2013. [1] The cafe is designed in an art deco style. Interior decorations include photographs of Tottenham Hotspur football players, walls tiling is original but the tables are new and formica topped. [1] The cafe has been featured as a filming location in several BBC series such as Judge John Deed , Rescue Me and London Spy. It has also appeared in the films Layer Cake and Brighton Rock as well as Pride. [1] Author’s notes: Personally, I have truly enjoyed to have experienced eating a full / traditional English breakfast in this quintessential British restaurant. All for less than GBP 10. Its one of the oldest I was informed. It’s a place to experience an authentic ambience and seeing regular locals dining in. A must do if one is in Pimlico and in London. I ordered egg, sausage and baked beans and added on the fried tomatoes, mushrooms and black pudding as extras. All that and a milk tea for £8.75! The ordering system is queue to order and the gentleman at the counter will assign a table for you. Thereafter when food is ready, it is self service. Which is why the food is great, it’s piping hot! Everything was tasty! I really liked the black pudding, mushrooms and baked beans! There’s just something about that baked beans, they taste so good~ milk tea was great too. Service was quick, efficient and polite. Really liked that they address you by name after they get your order. Once you get to the counter, it’s quick till you get your meal. It’s just the initial queue which probably took me around 30-40 minutes when i arrived around 9:45am. There’s no need to worry about seats even though the queue is long, the tables turnover are quick. The place itself certainly meet the vibe check. It had that comfy and homely feel. When she said sorry she didnt know and she was tired which is why she sat down, he then shouted rudely "if you're tired then go to bed." To be clear we are not upset that we were asked to move but the way she was disrespected and screamed at was uncalled for. If customers are not allowed to sit for a moment while ordering since there is a long queue, they can be told to get up, but yelling and mocking a person's physical ailment is disgusting and uncouth behaviour.

Only downside was that when I arrived with my partner and we were in the line, ready to order we were told by a staff member she couldn’t sit down until we had the order. A bit confusing, and different to every other place in London.

Being housed practically in front of the Regency café it was impossible not to have breakfast! The first day we were a little perplexed by the queue but, we said to ourselves, it is certainly an indicator of good food. In fact we were not disappointed: the food is good and the atmosphere is of times gone by. The lady at the checkout was very nice and efficient... on the last day we thanked her and said goodbye, hoping to return soon! Thank you Regency café for the lovely English breakfast! :)

I've been coming here for years, and while it's gotten busier it's still kept its prices down, quality of the food up and kept the locals coming back despite the crowds. They also fry the best, crispy chunky chips ever and I crave them all the time. Their full english deal is a banger, comes with tea/coffee. Black pudding and bubble and squeak are extra and highly recommended. I also come for their steak and kidney pudding with carrots and chips. And that's something I highly recommend too.

It is beyond me how a restaurant can be so complete. The second we entered the restaurant we were incredibly welcomed with the joyful atmosphere and the staff being the best I have seen in any Michelin star restaurants I have been to. They were extremely professional while remaining incredibly nice and caring. The variety of the food, exceptional mastery of different ingredients by the chef and the presentation of the dish makes me mind boggled of how this restaurant only has 1 Michelin star. In the Michelin restaurants I have been to I have always had at least one or two dishes I didn’t like but here moving to the next dish was like a divorce for my taste buds of the wonderful flavor I had just encountered. On top of all of these things the song choice was amazing and helped with combining hearing with tasting. By far the highlight of my stay in London and definitely will be sending everyone I know here 😁

As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing several weddings at Dartmouth House, and it truly stands out as a magnificent venue, nestled in the heart of Mayfair, London. This elegant mansion offers a unique blend of charm, sophistication, and versatility, making it an ideal location for both intimate weddings and large-scale celebrations.

This quaint café inside a church is a true hidden gem! The atmosphere is peaceful and unique, making it the perfect spot to relax. A special shoutout to Robyn, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful—she truly went above and beyond to make our day even better. Such a lovely experience with great service in a one-of-a-kind setting. Highly recommend checking it out!
