THE place if you want to experience real original English breakfast. Very very fair prices and super fast service. The food was also very yummy and exactly what we had hoped for.

A must-visit in London if you enjoy a lively and down-to-earth atmosphere. The service is very fast and friendly, the price is unbeatable, and the food is delicious and plentiful! I 100% recommend it; we were delighted to stumble upon it by chance!

A must if you want to eat in a typical English restaurant. It is easy to find a queue, but you can still get in quickly. The owner and staff are friendly and courteous. You queue, order, pay, food and drinks are delivered and you sit at the table; if something is missing they call you when it is ready. We had to pay in cash due to problems with the POS (it seems to happen often) so it is better to bring some banknotes (they also accept euros). Not far away there is an ATM where you can withdraw money if necessary.

The lady at the register was awfully rude - I don’t who she thinks she is - she made my coffee with milk when i didn’t ask for milk and got so mad at me telling me I was wasting food The rest of staff was wonderful

After eating the English breakfast here, my impression of London food has completely changed. I had heard that the food in England is not very good, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was really delicious. Black pudding is not very familiar to Japanese people, but it was also delicious! When we went around 7:30am on a weekday, we didn't have to wait in line, but after 8:00am, there was a line in front of the register. Many people were probably on their way to work, so if you don't want to wait, I recommend going early. It was a wonderful cafe that was loved by locals and also attracted tourists. However, it seems that they have been raising prices quite frequently. When we visited, the set breakfast was 9.65 pounds. I would like to visit again when I go to London.

This cafe is, for me, an essential part of my London visits and I started coming here when I worked in Westminster for 10 years starting in 2001.It is a great favourite as i love the fun and fast paced and efficient atmosphere, the tasty food, particularly the chips and the staff are amazing, especially the lady shouting out the orders! I am English and have visited cafes throughout Britain, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland and nowhere I have been comes close to this cafe, even though I live in Brighton which is famous for its cafes! . It rightly deserves all its accolades. Do visit if you get the chance!

Came here today at 1215pm. People queuing out the door, and all the seats inside were taken. Great for the business, but bad news for me. Not going to queue for a London Cafe.

An excellent option if you want to enjoy and experience a traditional English breakfast. The service is fast, but I recommend arriving early to get a table, otherwise the wait can be long.

The lady upfront is enough to make you walk away. Better pray they get your order right or else they’ll berate you for the wasting their food. Go elsewhere. We were so excited to come it was so cute and left feeling terrible

A blast from the past. This is a famous landmark so you're queuing with many tourists to get served. The food is excellent and one of the few surviving traditional cafes of its kind in London.

An essential stop in London. For a hearty breakfast (almost a brunch) the Regency Cafe is perfect. At 11 we found it with few people but if you find a queue outside don't worry, it will quickly clear up in a few minutes. And if once inside you don't find a seat, be patient, when you order the seats will most likely free up thanks to the type of place and the dishes. 17 pounds for the dishes in the photos, a breakfast deal (9.8 pounds), eggs with bacon, black pudding and added mushrooms. Highly recommended

If you want a quick English breakfast before you get on your flight or go somewhere else you’ve planned in London, this is the place. It’s super fast, it’s full of history and the food was amazing. Order, eat and enjoy and head to wherever you had planned. Definitely add this to your list, it’s cheap and tasty and many people love this for a reason.

I like autentic cuisine and this one was absolutely it, plus the whole vibe, which I loved. Regency cafe is nice place for your meal - you´ll get tasty food for affordable prices in stylish restaurant. The amount of food is big and everything was pefectly made by few minutes. An iconic cafe with great fast paced service and cheap prices. Servings are large and you won’t be disappointed. Travelling with my wife, we hardly had to wait at all during a weekday morning. The prices were very reasonable, and the quality was good. The atmosphere was fun and efficient, and the wall decor added to the experience. We would return, and it was a true, authentic London experience.

I bought my first coffee from this café and I enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I was able to get in and out within 10 minutes. I must recommend this to anyone visiting London.

They are very fast in service, the queue can last 10/15 minutes maximum but you are served immediately and the tables are continuously cleaned.

Good place if you want to experience how the English Breakfast like. But the place is full with tourists like yourself, so dont expect a very local place. Prices are reasonable, service is fast though you can encounter with a que. Foods are just avarrage.

This is a classic Insta trap!! Short description of what happened to us: We stood in line as was required, which was to order first and then sit down to eat! This is where the first problem begins: Many people don't stick to it and sit down while someone in the group orders food for everyone, so places are blocked and you have to be afraid of eating while standing. When we were finally allowed to order, the following mishap happened to us: we accidentally picked up someone else's food. You have to know that the concept of the store is to shout loudly into the ordering room!! Many people might like that and it's part of the character of the store, which is perfectly fine! I just don't think we need to discuss the fact that this concept is prone to errors! As usual, a finished order was shouted into the room, several times! Nobody came and unfortunately this order was very similar to ours so I thought ok, this is ours now! I took the plates and we got a table. Finally our order was shouted across the room and, quite rightly, no one answered. We thought oh shit! But they had already started eating and there was nothing they could do about it. When the (nice) lady shouted at us and condemned us for deliberately taking someone else's food, it was simply a disgrace!! As already mentioned, this concept is prone to errors and with the previous order someone else wanted to pick up another order but the lady correctly directed them to wait, which unfortunately didn't happen with us. How about order numbers... a concept that has proven itself everywhere!!! When mistakes were made, the motto was that the customer is king and instead we were portrayed as thieves. We then left the restaurant without finishing our breakfast because we didn't want to be treated like that. For breakfast itself: absolutely mediocre! Coffee was bad, cheap toast all in all overpriced for this canteen quality! I don't understand all these positive reviews at all!!

This was the first English breakfast we had, and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was just as great—friendly and welcoming. A fantastic place to start the day! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

I honestly don't understand why this place has such a long line. You arrive and find an old, small dive, which they call “classic”, full of people, overwhelming, and the person serving is rude. If I had known, I wouldn't have come back.

All in all exactly as described in other reviews. The “café” offers probably the most authentic atmosphere in London and the English breakfast is to die for. The store was very full but everything was very organized inside and you got a seat straight away. Since the service at the counter is so quick, a queue in front of the restaurant isn't a problem. An English breakfast here is an absolute must when staying in London.

Just perfect. I heard so much about this place and I understand everything now. It’s like going to a restaurant in the 80’s with a huge quantity of food for a very good price. Good quality food and the service works just excellent, a big congratulations to the lady at the till who was knowing exactly what to do all the time even though she was doing 1000 things at the same time. 100% recommended, will come back if we have the chance

Everything in this cafe still breathes history, you can go back in time half a century. The tiles on the wall date from the 1940s, the tables and chairs are from a slightly later date, the 1960s, I think. You have to order at the bar and the dishes are not served, you have to pick them up yourself at the bar after the dish has been announced in a loud voice. This also fits in with the atmosphere of an old-fashioned canteen. Nice experience to have! The choice mainly consists of eggs prepared in different ways, so English breakfast, but also pasta, bread pudding and salad. We were there around lunch, just before closing time, and it was not busy then. And not expensive.

Al ser prestado hoy, decidí aventurarme y cerrar Bambú y Albahaca para almorzar en mi propio restaurante en Brixton Water Lane. Estaba ansioso por un clásico desayuno de cuchara grasienta, que encontré el lugar perfecto, Regancy Café, en Stockwell al precio correcto por £ 9. 95 obtienes tostadas de café y full inglés puedes agregar extra como pudín negro del que no soy fan o huevo extra etc. Fue una gran limpieza amigable rápida y comida clásica de Londres. Tienen otras ofertas y especiales diariamente, todos básicamente muy británicos como pasteles y puré, etc. Todo a precios bajos todo el día. Estaba lleno de una mezcla de londinenses, un montón de estudiantes y turistas japoneses todos gofreando, el grub go disfrutará de la comida, así como toda la historia en las paredes firmado fotos de Mohammed Ali a los gemelos Cray. La señora que toma las órdenes es increíble que tiene la voz profunda de un trabajador del acero y la gracia de un profesional finalmente afinado le encantó.

First place I've ever enjoyed a black pudding. Chips and baked beans are also top. Queue on Thursday at around 1pm was slightly out the door, and took 25 minutes. Food came around 5 minutes later. Cashier was very kind when we asked about veggie options for our omelette.

I was surprise how good this combination of food tasted. It was my first “English breakfast”. The place is nice, nothing fancy but enough for having a nice breakfast with a cup of coffee. I can recommend the “breakfast set” + 2 hash browns. No doubt that for my next visit to London I’ll go back to the Regency Cafe.

Arranged to meet some friends here before going on elsewhere on a bit of a reunion. There was a 30 minute wait to get in, but it seems to work. When it is your time to eat there is a table available. The food was exactly as I would expect in any good London cafe. If you have the time to wait, then it is worth the visit.

I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to eat on a weekday morning, and there was more food than I expected, so I skipped lunch and had dinner~ The owner (?) has a very loud voice, but she is very friendly when taking orders! Perfect English Breakfast! This cafe serves the best English breakfast I've ever had! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were packed with flavor. The baked beans were rich and satisfying, and the buttery toast tied everything together. Every bite was delicious—highly recommended!
