Regency Cafe in Redcar and Cleveland

Afternoon tea was scrumptious excellent value for money. Staff were very welcoming and friendly making sure we had everything we wanted. Very homely with assorted seating options in the old Coatham hotel building.

Really pretty little cafe under the old mansion building. Liked the decor with easy chairs and wooden tables and lots of nice touches The food was good and generous with nice service.

I was given vouchers for the cafe and visited with my partner on 24/08/22. The cafe is very tastefully decorated and most welcoming. 10/10 for cleanliness. It was spotless. Alcohol is available too. We were greeted warmly and waited only a short while for our tea. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and there was so much to choose from. All freshly made to order. We were able to take away what we couldn't manage to eat. Pauline and i remembered each other from a previous employ so it was good to catch up. I was so impressed with everything that i asked Pauline to cater for a small afternoon gathering following my daughters registry office wedding. Everyone commented on how beautiful the food was and the additional touch of a small wedding cake was very much appreciated. Thank you for everything Pauline. I know my partners mum will enjoy using her vouchers too. I highly recommend the Regency Cafe.

Just had the most amazing and delicious tea and cake at this little cafe. Well worth the walk to it. Look how pretty it is inside and the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our food and drink. The prices where good too. Definitely worth a visit!

Dog friendly coffee house on the seafront, pleasantly decorated and with comfy sofas. You can order Champagne Afternoon Teas for special occasions! I only had a hot chocolate as I was sheltering from a sudden shower and had a dog with me. There were 3 other dogs there too. I would definitely go again.

Booked afternoon tea and we were not disappointed, this place is a hidden gem. The selection / choice was amazing, one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had and the staff could not do enough for you.

What can I say about the regency cafe, well i stumbled upon this place y accident and lord i am so happy i did. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. We have enjoyed many a afternoon tea here and we have held baby showers and just met up for coffee and cake, for anyone wanting a special treat the afternoon tea is out of this world, I find it hard to believe that anyone could leave and not be overjoyed by the food, Keep up the excellent work ladies. Lovely place, good variety of food and the scones were delicious. Proper sized pot of tea with plenty of top up water all served in nice cups. Staff were friendly and helpful and welcomed the dog!

Came in with my family for a quick lunch, beautiful decor and spotlessly clean.. staff really nice and went out there way for my son who has allergies. Food was beautiful my husband had the scotch egg platter which he loved, and myself and girls had a panini.. lovely atmosphere staff friendly would definatly recommend.

We was recommended Regency by our accommodation where we was staying in Redcar. What a short, disappointing and unwelcoming visit. We walked in and was stood waiting to be greeted by the server, as instructed by the instructions requested by the Cafe. I then approached the counter whilst she had seen us stood waiting, I was unaware that the woman who finally greeted us worked at the cafe as she was at table talking to a friend possibly, we asked for a table and the way the server spoke to me was rude she scoffed at me and wasn’t welcoming and helpful at all. We decided the short impression we got from her that this is not a welcoming polite establishment we would like to pay money for.

What a gem of a place , excellent friendly staff , gorgeous decor ordered a take away tea for two food was of a very high standard , beautifully presented Such a relaxing and friendly atmosphere i will definitely be a returning customer

Noticed this cafe when visiting Redcar today and walking back to the car. We called in for a takeout coffee. It looked really nice inside so we decided to sit in and have lunch. The service and food was excellent and would definitely go back next time we are in Redcar.

Very well decorated with bespoke furniture, delicious food and lovely selection of cakes, attentive staff and very accomodating for families especially those with special dietary requirements. We've been twice this week for lunch and will return on future holidays!
