Disappointing, I returned here because it had been so good on previous visits. However this time was completely different, the place was freezing because on one of the coldest days of the year so far they had wedged the fire escape door open. Everyone in the place apart from the staff were in a howling gale (brisk draught really) of 2'C air - delightful! The food didn't make up for the discomfort, the curry was too spicey and had too little flavour, the chips were cooked too fast, nice and brown but undercooked in the middle. My companions had chicken hotpot, the potato on which had a strange stodgy coating but the chicken was nice. Reasonably cheap, but not as cheerful as it has been in the past.

This place has gone down the pan. Less people not as much food and no cakes apart from standard baught in ones. Found out the previous original owner has sold up. The girl who used to work there has turned quite ignorant with most customers which is strange as she used to be lovely. Also the original owner used to make all her own cakes and food was above parr. Now its a bog standard service with average food. It used to be a buzzing atmosphere and the owner was so nice with everyone. Wont be going back

Nice place polite staff just when i informed them that the vanilla slice I'd purchased was stale i was told it was fresh yesterday so it was stale in my opinion never mind live and learn

Love this place. Homemade food is delicious. Plenty of choice if you get there early enough. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Desserts are amazing.

Our 1st visit, me and my sister, well impressed, we will be back very soon. Loved the food.

What a wonderful and refreshing experience. A traditional coffee house which serves gorgeous home made food at very fair compimented prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is brilliant. The excellent quality of the food and service is complemented wonderfully by the very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I'd recommend it very highly to anyone who is seeking a fantastic experience which is not to be missed.

This is an excellent coffee bar offering a good selection of hot drinks to suite your taste delivered to your table if required (nice touch for seniors) plus a menue changing daily. with something for everyone. aparking can be a little tricky at peak times but well worth a visit,

I wanted to spend some time with family on my birthday earlier this month so took my Nan here for breakfast and it was lovely. A very good sized breakfast and for a very reasonable price and a nice atmosphere in a lovely building. The staff were all very polite and friendly and even gave me a bit of cake for free for my birthday. Will definitely be booking in again for afternoon tea some time.

1st time I've been to this place but won't be the last. Lovely homemade food served by friendly people. The atmosphere in the cafe was so welcoming. I had the sausage in gravy with Yorkshire pud and chips. Very tasty. Couldn't resist trying the chocolate orange cheesecake, I can honestly say it was the nicest cheesecake I have ever had. Can't wait to go back and try the other ones. If your in the area don't pass this place by, I would highly recommend it. Great value for top quality food and service.

First day in the new buildingupstairs and had a great lunch here. Glad I've moved in upstairs :) Great price for the quality too!

Been here a couple of times so far and the food is always delicious. We were advised to ring ahead and pre-book food to avoid disappointment, so we rang up about 11 and reserved some food. When we arrived to collect the food they were quick and had everything ready for us to takeaway. Tasty as always and really good value for money.

The curry is excellent and the staff are great.

Myself & my family came here today for afternoon tea (16/5/18) and it was the best place I have been for afternoon tea. Everything was so fresh and non of the food was heavy on my stomach, will defently going back again. Staff where really friendly and came round to check if everything was ok.

I went today on my lunch break and was greeted by friendly faces, the que didn’t take long to go down even though it was a dinner time, they managed very well and I was soon sat down on a nice clean table with the best Parmesan I’ve ever tasted, portions were huge and it was amazingly cheap for such good quality. I couldn’t resist the Jaffa cake cheesecake so had to take some home and that equally was just as gorgeous! Not a bad word to say 10/10 cant wait to go again!!

We have been twice whilst car was in the garage 10 mins walk away. Absolutely excellent. Staff are very welcoming and the building is very interesting. The home cooked food is great but really they will do most things for you. Today we were later so had Battenburg cheesecake which was stunning and I think it's choc brownie cheesecake. As good as any we have had in much more expensive places. Can't recommend the place enough. When lots of local workers come in to eat/ takeaway you know it must be good.

Good variety of dishes available, they cater for dietary requirements and those looking for healthier options. Afternoon teas are delicious and the cheesecakes are better than sophellies. Everything is reasonably priced and served by friendly staff.

What a revelation this place. Lovely home prepared food. Not obvious it's there but well worth the trouble once found. Great breakfasts, lunches and super afternoon cakes.

Been a couple of times recently and the food is tasty. Not eaten in yet, only taken out but the portions are great and they have a good variety of options. Really like the bacon quiche with chips. Need to try one of their cakes next time.

Visited on Wednesday, I was booked in for afternoon tea with friends. Lovely friendly Café, The food was homemade and lovely. We had few coffees each to go with our meal, and it was very reasonable priced. Hope to visit again.

Place looks really nice but is closed on Saturdays. The place closes at 330pm M-F so it is limited for students, which would be a trek, or anyone exploring ie buying a car for example, who comes on Saturday. I'll try to check out menu and service next time I am off during the week.

Well I’ve been there on every Wednesday after I do some volunteering at the R.V.S just around the corner from this building and there’s some brilliant and friendly staff that work in there, there all sound from my point of view, but all of the best from me Craig Reaney x x x x

Took my sister for afternoon tea, my word what good value for what we got, nice round of sandwiches, cakes and scones all made in house, two pots of tea and a third on request, the place is very clean and the staff are very friendly.

The listed building has been restored from a shell,very handsome and comfortable.

Gorgeous coffee shop and cafe hidden away inside a lovely building, attached to a lovely art gallery. Food was amazing and the cheesecake was out of this world. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough and very reasonably priced. Will be returning and recommending.

This is a lovely little cafe within the newly refurbished Cargo Fleet Offices. It serves breakfast and lunches. The food is all home cooked/baked and is delicious no matter what you order. I have had breakfast there and it is plentiful, served hot and tasty. I have also had lunch there and I must say that the food is really very good, it is again all home cooked and served to order. The food is piping hot and a real full plate full. The staff are really nice and pleasant and will have a chat to you even when they are busy. It is only a small family run business but it can give other cafes and restuarants a run for their money. The prices are really cheap and well within anyone budget.
