The disabled parking is further away to the park/ cafe and means a walk across some fields. Not a huge way but if you have Mobility issues could be an issue. Cafe average size with a lovely view where there are ducks abd birds. Menu usually cafe style but no vegan options, so asked for a salad sandwich the waitress looked very confused but when it came it was very nice. Soft bread and lots of salad. Hubby had tuna sandwich again very nice. Plenty of filling. Plenty of staff but busy and very noisy. Not cheap but ok for an occasional visit. Toilets very clean

This cafe is in new hands since I last visited and what a difference. The waitress who took our order was very helpful and cheery. Fresh flowers on every table and Bird Feeders just outside so we were well entertained by the Blue Tits. Food excellent and reasonably priced. We will be back.

This is a super, busy wee cafe run by a local family. Huge selection of tray bakes and a good snack choice. Reasonable value taking into account the supply situation at the moment. Very pleasant staff and a fabulous location. Especially good hot chocolates with all the "trimmings". Well supported by the local community and nice young staff

I'd visited Hawick Museum and as the museum has no refreshments, wandered over to the Refresh Pavilion Cafe as locals said it was a lot better since it was taken over by local people. I can vouch that Refresh has very friendly staff, prices are reasonable( £ 2.80 for a large coffee and £ 2.50 for a traybake), they sell ice cream that is highly rated, and the view on to the river is very nice. Also ornithologists should check the bird feeders next to the windows, where a variety of birds were visiting. A nice cafe that won't break the bank, the timber lodge design looks brilliant and the toilets were spotless.

The service was so slow here, waited so long to order and then had to go around the corner to queue again for items purchased. The staff were wearing masks under chin, under nose etc. The food was amazing though and the staff were friendly.

When initially opened, this cafe was run by a business located in England and didn’t appear to have the drive or foresight to meet the needs of the local people. Thankfully the cafe was taken over by a local and the transformation has been positively drastic. Excellent, pleasant young staff who keep the cafe nice and tidy. The cafe is nicely decorated and laid out. Prices are competitive and there is a nice choice for those that are looking for a lite bite to eat. Freshly sourced filled rolls and home made cakes and pastries. Lovely hot coffee sourced from Edinburgh which can be enjoyed within or as a takeaway. Card payment accepted. The cafe has been recently decorated with beautiful hanging baskets showing that the owner is seriously determined to make this business a real success. Limited outside seating is available and the cafe overlooks a fabulous children’s play park which was built a few years ago. Also just a 5min walk from the newly opened and a top of the range pump track which is free to use. Can highly recommend

A Very pretty setting this cafe is situated in Hawick close to the pump track that we were visiting, it’s a real shame the staff are so inept, amateurism would be putting it kindly. I ordered a coffee for me and my father a soup and a bacon roll with probably around 15 people in the cafe at its busiest, after finishing coffee at a leisurely pace I mentioned kindly that we were ready for our soups and bacon roll, we waited in the cafe I would say not far off? an Hour we waited and waited with not many customers by this time half a dozen at most, I mentioned to the young chap sweeping up if our soup was being freshly made or was it pre made as that would maybe make allowances for the slow service as I couldn’t for the life of me understand what was taking so long? I was told it was in an unfriendly bordering aggressive manner that the soup was pre-made in the morning, for this response I returned in a jokingly manner how can it take so long to ladle the soup into a bowl, obviously he wasn’t in a joking mood, long day dealing with needy customers to give him the benefit of the doubt, let’s just say I’ve never experienced what was to follow in my life I’m 49 years old. Absolutely unprofessional, I take it the manager was his mother as she accused us of acting aggressive towards her staff? I was then ready to go and ask for a refund and walk out when our food arrived, potato soup basically nothing great but it filled a hole. On leaving the cafe I was accosted by this young lad with his aggressive tone once again outside accusing us for not paying? Taken aback as we had payed for the coffee and the meal on ordering ( unbelievable). His Manager Owner (mummy) I’m guessing pulled him back saying he had made an error in his judgement and that we had paid, to be fair he did apologies for making this mistake but by this time I’d had enough In truth I just wanted to slap him about the park which probably would of got me arrested been a bad example to set and a disappointment to myself and any of the youths present. How a day can change. I recommend the bike pump- track the locals are friendly welcoming and down to earth but avoid this place like the plague! Faulty Towers lives on!! 😂

This was our first ever visit to Hawick and as part of the day we visited this cafe for lunch, it was superb The environment was bright, modern, clean and attractive. The staff were welcoming and attentive. COVID guidance was followed and the menu was straightforward. The foods were of terrific quality and unbelievable value for money. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We would recommend this cafe (and the park) to anyone.

Popped in for a coffee with my granny yesterday after a trip to the museum and walk round the park. It was our first visit to the cafe. There was only one person working which is ridiculous! She was through the back when we went in but she saw us enter and must have heard us discussing what coffees we wanted as she was only a couple of meters away. We understood she must be a little busy but thought she wouldn’t be long in coming through. We were wrong. We stood for around 5 minutes without anyone coming to serve and a queue began to form behind us. My granny walked along slightly and the woman looked at her from through the back again. We hoped that she would then realise we were still waiting, but STILL nobody came to serve. So we left and decided to take our business elsewhere.

Popped into cafe today as it looked nice, ordered a carryout coffee and slice of sponge cake. OMG the cake was hard on the top, never tasted a cake as dry as this, sorry won't be back. Pity as it's a lovely setting.

Took Izzie and her wee pal to wilton park, they asked for money for juice from cafe. Gave them £2 each but said check with the lady the price. Well aside from the fact £2 does not buy a coke in the cafe the lady quite rudely told them to go check the price themselves. They had been excited to "buy" something themselves. On checking the fridge myself the bottles are mixed up and the prices do not reflect what is beside them. Super customer service!

After a cold winters day at the park we stopped here to get a drink and warm up. My 4 year old had the kids box which didn’t include a wide choice of items but was happy with what was on offer. It would have been good if they had a choice of fruit though. I had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and it was delicious. The staff memeber that served us was lovely and the place was nice and clean.

We often take our dogs to this park at the weekend and the coffee is great here actually they sometimes have deals on as well so we can get a cake as well. Also they have a loyalty card so every now and then you can get a free coffee. It's clean and fresh and airy inside. But dogs are not allowed in.so you need to sit out and just now it can be showers at times. I do think they should put a tent type thing with benches and tables for the dog walkers it would be a great addition to this cafe

Have tried this cafe on a number of occasions and found service slow, due to lack of staff not their efforts. Selection in poor and mainly pre-packed items, the previous cafe on the same site was Family run and had home made fayre on offer, was much better in the past. The design of the new building is also lacking, poor access and the general design is confusing and limited, more space outside but no sheltered areas.

This new cafe was completed in 2017 to facilitate a huge regeneration project in the beautiful Wilton Park. The cafe has been tastefully built with the rear of the cafe overlooking the Teviot Water. Entry to the cafe can be made either by parking or walking from the free car park on Buccleuch Road, or by the main entrance to the park at the end of Victoria Road. The food available is fairly simple but fine for a basic snack or lunch, including sandwiches and bacon, sausage on locally sourced bread rolls. Coffees, teas and soft drinks including slush puppies can also be purchased. A variety of coffees are available which or of a decent quality with prices you would see at your average priced cafe. Toilets are housed within the cafe structure and are well maintained. The cafe is adjacent to the new children’s play park and has been constructed of the highest quality and is easily the best children’s play park in the Borders. Wilton Park is a must visit to any tourist coming to Hawick and during the summer months, there are numerous free music entertainment held at the recently refurbished band stand.
