We made a lot of use of the bakers during our stay in the town. All the bread and pastries and pasties we bought were excellent and very fresh.

All the rolls where made of Italian bread, I don't like that. There where some sandwiches but not a lot of choice, I had ham. It had red coleslaw in it. I would never put coleslaw in a sandwich, ridiculous. As I left I saw that they'd made some more. Thanks for that, not Some English bread rolls please? The manager was Italian maybe that's why, but, this is England. If I want Italian I'll go there

Many a recent visit. Very friendly staff and always helpful.. The only issue is the queue can sometimes be out of sync, as people just won’t move up the counter when served, causing people to block the doorway.. So people then have to leap frog those already served etc….. Not the shops fault, just people without a care for others……. Shame there isn’t that little bit more internal seating. All in all I’m a fan!

After a below par visit to Costa and a walk round some of the shops on my stroller, a shopkeeper told me, I must go in to Reeves, they do amazing cheese straws. Well I spotted Reeves but with my stroller couldn’t get to the empty table but along came a lovely assistant who moved a table and got me through. Well yes the cheese straws were amazing but we also had a sandwich each and a lovely cuppa. Unlike costa this place was clean and tidy and the staff friendly polite and helpful

Having moved from Emsworth Hants I am still trying to find same quality and price of pasties from a baker as I had done from Westbourne bakery.I thought of trying Reeves as they looked the same and ordered two, I couldn't see the price clearly as it was low down and tiny but was shocked to find that the final amount was £6.50. I still thought I would give them a go as they must be good-I thought!!They were sloppy and mostly pastry Yuk!Last time I got same from Westbourne a couple of years ago they were only £1.09 so I expect they have gone up a little. How Reeves have got the audacity to sell this rubbish at that price, words fail me.

Visited reeve the bakers at Blandford forum whilst on holiday and was shocked and disappointed at the service received there. Was totally blanked by the staff and it was only thanks to the gent behind me in the queue who pointed out that I was first, that I was served at all. I have no idea why as I was civil at all times, which is more than can be said of staff. I am from Wales and I certainly hope that my accent didn't influence the staff there, but something certainly did. I have awarded one star because we ate the food that was served, will definitely never visit again.

My partner does respite care at the weekends and we visited the shop on Sunday together. It's worth noting one member of our group has additional needs. We arrived at a fairly quiet time and there was no one else queuing or waiting to be served. We allowed ourselves some time to look at the sandwiches and food. This gave sufficient processing and decision making time for our friend with additional needs. I looked up at one point (we had been there for about 2-3 minutes at most) and all three members of staff were stood at the till looking at us. As I looked up a member of staff asked if we needed anything. I replied by nodding, saying 'yes' and turned my head to see if everyone else in my group was ready. I heard a member of staff very snarkily say to their colleague "for the third time...".I turned my head and looked at them very confused by the way we had just been spoken about. I am sure they were aware that I had just heard them as two other members of staff moved away and one served us.I decided against calling it out and making a fuss at the time as I didn't feel our group member with additional needs would cope well with leaving and choosing another place to eat since he had already chosen his meal.I felt very put out by the situation and would have been disgusted had the rest of my group heard this. How rediculous that staff working in a public environment have little consideration for people that visit their establishments that may take a little longer than expected to choose and order. I did not catch the name of the staff member who made the rude comment but it was an older lady with short hair and glasses. I can confidently say I will not be returning Reeves any time soon.

Popped in for two small lattes and a small sausage roll. First "server" unable to understand order necessitating raising voice to request. Second server decided this was "being sharp".Eventually managed to get someone to understand but before we were served we noted price as bring in access of 9 pounds! When this was questioned we were told that "if you come down here you must expect to pay these prices". We pointed out that we came from London and travelling the length of the UK motorway network we have never paid that ever! The reasoning was that we were ,"eating in". This was two cardboard cups not finest China sat on the pavement seating area.Needless to say the coffees and the sausage roll are still there. We eventually got a snack at M&S for much less.Be aware that Blandford Forum is closed on Sunday and the odd shop that is open want to rob you!HR ake your money elsewhere.

This is by far the best bakers I know, not least because they have the imagination to add tomatoes into the cheese and bacon turnover. That adds a bit of moisture and a nice tang. The bacon is well cooked and they are always tasting fresh and hit.Their cheese straws are also hot and very flavoursome. For the sweet tooth, very sweet tooth, the Lemon tart will give you a real hit...And that is just the start...the selection will take you a long time to work through! Why do so many bakers fail so spectacularly with heavy, dull, tasteless food when Reeves get it so right.Add that to pretty good service even when it is busy, and it justifies its place I divert to visit, in Salisbury, Romsey and Ringwood. If you haven't, you need to!

Recommended by a friend. Wonderful Reeves the Baker in Ringwood en route to Bournemouth for 2 day break.Entered Ringwood 14 April, little sleepy town during the week with a lovely old fashioned high street. Big car park.Past the car park, head to shopping centre, then turn right at the high street to Reeves the Baker. We had hot (baked on the premises) Wiltshire Pasties with mince veg and beef together to a smooth feeling (my favourite) and a leek ham in flaky french pastry (for my wife) and coffee and tea in the cosy place at the back of the shop (about 9 tables). Some freshly baked cheese straws to take with us to the hotel. Tasted really home made, and not thirsty after eating as not heavy on salt. Two days passed and on the way back to London on Saturday we planned lunch in Reeves this time very busy town busy with shoppers. You had to order quickly as the hot pasties display was getting smaller by the minute as two counters (take away counter and eat in) were serving at the same time two long queues .They did Tea for Two with finger sandwiches on their own baked bread but we chose leek and potato soup, beef pasty, ham and mushroom pasty. At the same time we bought our take away for London - Beef pasties, mushroom and chicken (filling reminded me of chicken supreme - popular dish in 70s) and cheese and onion (good but least favourite).Sorry shoppers it was us who cleared the hot display of pies and cheese straws from the window at lunchtime on Saturday!

You know when your a tad hungry in town but don't fancy a pub lunch or your normal fast food, sand which bar, or pizza. This is the place to go. There is a small snag! There is far too much to choose from, you could eat yourself silly. The chap on the till was clearly on his first day but had done his homework. He knew the different filling and different breads you could have, was very attentive and very polite. We had to find the manager and tell him as we were so impressed. The food is lovely. When you go into salisbury from Somerset you go past what I think is their main bakery, they should open it for visits as I bet they make so many items per hour there. The smell inside would make your mouth water.Fresh bread, lots of filling, crisp pastry on the pasties, local pasties, great choice of seating.Reminded me of 30 years ago as an apprentice and the pay day trips to the bakery. In an area in which value for money seems hard to come by, the presence of this eatery on the main street is particularly welcome. On the day we visited, the caffetiera had broken down, so I made do with an Americano rather than a cappucino; but it was very good, and the baked goods with which it was served -- a spinach pasty, a piece of cake -- were tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff were alert and friendly and related well to their clientele — something one might not expect from a chain establishment

We were cycling through and wanted somewhere we could sit down for a quick lunch. We found Reeve by accident and as it was sunny, took advantage of the outside seats. We were served quickly once we made our minds up on what sandwiches we wanted - a good choice when we arrived. The two we ate were very good. Eat in prices were reasonable. Two cups of tea later we were ready to leave. Toilets were clean.

Have not long been in to the shop and I feel my experience deserves to be shared. I walked into a rather busy looking shop but straight away I noticed the fun and customer focused atmosphere. I was served rather promptly and politely. The staff were very friendly. The food itself was fantastic. Having the choice to have my fresh panini toasted made it even tastier. I will definitely be returning again in the future.

Monday 4th 14.00pm. Straight to the point. Flies crawling all over the uncovered cakes and pastries. We then sat at a table by the window where you could see all around the entire floor area crumbs and spilt drink. All the table surfaces had not been wiped clean. Then asked for someone in charge. There was no one! I complained about the poor standards and got no apology but to my shock a level of backchat that was impertinent to say the least. I cannot believe that there is a level 5 award on this place. To cap it all there is a vacancy for a cleaner notice on window! Shocking! Need's Gordon Ramsay to kick some butts!

For a budget stop and a nice view of the High Street and lovely friendly ladies, an excellent choice in Blandford. Fresh Chelsea Bun and tea was less that three pounds, and a window seat in the sunshine. Very good.

I often pop into Reeves when I am working in town. They always have a tantalising selection on breads and pastries on offer. The service is always good and very rarely have to wait long to be served. Definitely worth popping in for a nice lunch

The bread here is good, the hot food (like pasties) very good and the cakes are also very good.I've always found the staff pleasant although you can wait some time for order-in food. There is a fair selection of sandwiches, cold drinks and some salads. Gluten Free options are a bit limited. It can get very busy at lunchtimes.

Lovely little tea room bit but unfortunately the veggie options are lacking. Was wanting a root vegetable pasty they used to do but have stopped making them. Apparently other people have said they miss these pasties but Reeves haven't listened. They do spinach and ricotta ones, but this is an English bakers and I wanted an English pasty.

This cafe has prime place overlooking lovely Georgian market place but is really dull with rather old fashioned cakes etc. - aren't the days of Chelsea buns gone? Staff show no enthusiasm or knowledge, could be so much better. Need to make far more effort by providing quality products and beverages although there are some nice types of bread for sale. Tables just get piled up with used crockery and the chairs and tables are cheap, nasty and uncomfortable, crammed far to close. Yuck!

My mum and I came here for an afternoon break and had two coffees and a chocolate shortbread (for £6!) which we thought was slightly pricey, but it all tasted good. The cafe itself was unclean, lots breadcrumbs, sugar bits over the floor and tables. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was simple - but nice. There was a huge amount of fresh bread, pasteries and doughnuts etc and they also had some soft drinks.

On our journey home from an overnight-stay in Bournemouth we decided to take a minor roads route back home rather than the direct main road route. This took us through quite a few small towns and villages. Our plan was to find a Farm Shop Café or a village / small town-centre café where we could get lunch: ideally a snack and a hot drink. We were over an hour into our journey when we saw the signs for Marcia’s Farm Shop and turned into what was a heavily pot-holed carpark. We then walked into the signposted barn noting that there was plenty of tables and chairs arranged in neat rows but no-one was sat there. There was another door into ‘The Shack’; inside was actually a full bar; like you would find in a pub. There were a few locals propping-up the bar, chatting and drinking draught beer. This is not what we had expected and we assumed that the ‘Marcia’s Farm Shop’ and ‘The Shack’ were one in the same business. There didn’t appear to be any farm produce on sale: other than, we assumed, the food offered in the menu. It was almost exactly 1pm when we were approached and welcomed by a pleasant lady. We asked about food, and she advised us to select a table and choose from the menu of snacks that were available, and that she would return to take our order. We studied the menu having ordered some tea and my Partner chose a fishfinger baguette, whereas I chose a toasted ham and cheese sourdough sandwich. The plates took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive from ordering, but freshly prepared food does take time. So, we sipped tea and amused ourselves with the help of a large (probably over-fed and under-exercised) old Labrador who constantly wandered and sniffed around the bar and seated areas. The dog then settled at our table once our food order arrived. This was not a serious issue for us (others however may dislike being ‘hounded’ by slobbering dogs while they eat their food). Both plates featured a colourful and tasty fresh dressed salad which was really good. My sandwich was really firm and crunchy with a generous helping of thick-cut ham and plenty of well-melted cheese, and a small portion of red cabbage coleslaw to go with the salad. It was really good and enjoyed. My Partner’s baguette featured homemade cod loin fishfingers and tartare sauce (both inside the baguette). The fish was a bit moist and insubstantial; despite being made from the loin. Cod can be like this and it is why we prefer the meatier haddock. The baguette also accompanied by a few crisps, but they were a really strange flavour for accompanying fish (reminded us of Oxo beef - but very artificial). Our food was on the whole good, generously portioned and very much welcomed, and it was good value.

Sunday roast was good ie.good selection of vegetables (blue cabbage and cauliflower were tasty, vegetables were not overcooked), generous portions of meat (I had beef which was a bit overcooked for me but it’s just me being a bit picky about beef. It was seasoned very well).Really enjoyed sticky toffee pudding. Good value for money - there was 2for1 deal for Sunday roast. Friendly and helpful service. Nice atmosphere and decor. Will definitely come back to check out the rest of the menu.
