Redz in Sunderland

Used to be good but not now, younger staff not very friendly asked for small fish and chips and a can of pop which was on the menu on table, no cans of pop or small fish and chips so ordered large, left half the fish was greasy underneath ,wont be coming again not worth the money im afraid ,and staff not polite anymore

Breakfast roll and drink deal!! Wow where was the bacon, should have just asked for a bun with brown sauce, absolutely shocking for £3.50.

Absolutely beautiful cod n chips today!

This is almost the only place at the Galleries where you can get a totally Keto meal really fast. I was very hungry after a whole morning of work and a workout at the gym. They made me poached cod, a huge piece, in the promised time of 2.5 minutes, They offered salad as well, but I was just hungry for the fish. I added vinegar and ate it whilst walking to my destination at the Galleries. Service with a smile, and so wonderfully satisfying. If you want to eat healthy, this place has the options for you. I will definitely be back.

5 star service. The staff were really lovely. We received our food immediately after ordering. The chips were perfect. Lovely atmosphere.

Lovely fish and chips , cheap and friendly

Hubby fancied fish and chips our local chippy is always too greasy seen Redz in the galleries and my son recommended them. Went at 5pm just before closing at 5.30 they had 2 small fish already cooked but hubby would not have been happy with a small one the owner kindly said he would put fresh fish in for us had to wait but it was worth it the fish was lovely and the portion of chips was more then enough for 2 the young lady who served me was very pleasant would highly recommend them.

Lovely food, fish better than in some well known fish restaurants. Nice crispy batter on white tasty fish. My son's favourite chippy. 3 for atmosphere as it's in a food court, however, doesn't spoil anything.

The food here is really nice. Had myself sausage, chips and gravy. The chips were really nice, sausage and batter were nice and light as well as the gravy having a nice smooth taste. What gave it 5 stars for me was the service. I counted coins and was 20p short but instead of using my card they just left the 20p. The food came out fast and was fresh. The staff and waitress were lovely to myself and others in the place. Guys who got served after me wanted some spicy food and they directed then next door and said bring it in as well as giving them free sauce. A bit later a customer came in who clearly wanted someone to talk to as well as some food; this wasn't an imposition and they were accomadint, welcoming and caring with them. Will come back just for the amazing service!

Nice food bit stingy on the chips

Food good but they just don't listen to what you are ordering. Sit inside , ask for batter, guarantee you won't get it.

Had poached cod and salad today,it was gorgeous and very filling,staff were very friendly and helpful,been here a few times and always had a lovely tasty meal. Got a take away too for my husband and son,they both said it was really tasty.

Will not fault the 5 star service here, we received our food almost immediately after ordering it and the presentation was second to none. The chips were perfect and they got all our orders spot on, the table service made everything so much easier. As soon as my 9 year old saw how quickly they brought out the food and how good it looked he demanded I gave them a 5 star review.

Excellent service with a smile. Ordered fish and chips and they were there in minutes. Red hot and really nice. First visit. We will be here again. Thank you.

Useless sat 40 min waiting for my order and received nothing so ended up walking out took my elderly mother for lunch waitress came took order brought knife and fork then sat for 30 min nothing so told her sat another 10 min nothing owner needs to sort his staff out useless

Dreadful experience from start to finish, rude and arragant waitress. Manager said they don't micawave anything even though my food had clearly been in the mic to remelt my cheese. Waste of money definitely won't be going back

Usually spot on but today I tried pie chips and curry. The pie was disgusting. Nuked to death and inedible. 4.90 for that? No thanks

Awful place to eat been here a few times and the service is awful! Portion sizes rubbish always try and give you less and less chips you have to check your change aswell shop always looks dirty! Avoid there’s much nicer fish and chip shops out there and lots of better places to eat in the galleries! I wouldn’t eat there again if you paid me!

Used to be.good, but I'd avoid this place like the plague now. Everything has been cut down and it shows.in the taste and the size of the meals.

Chips could be better. There all just stuck together. Fish is great though.

Ordered 2 adult fish bites and chip a curry and a gravy, got £7 change from £20. Then to add insult to injury the portion sizes where literally smaller than a kiddies meal box from Concord Chippy and the batter was brittle. Ridiculous wait times for a shocking portion. Will never be going using them again.

I have just been to the gallery’s for a take away meal what I got was discusting fish with a black hair in it (I do have a pic) a large bag off chips was a very very small bag off chips and the cost off it at 11.50 was not worth it at all I wouldn’t reccomend this place to any one

I Went in on good Friday, it was very busy and the girl who served me was quite rude. We waited about an hour to get our fish and chips. I don't think it was cooked properly as me and my partner are suffering with severe stomach cramps.

My daughters just been here for me they have charged her mushy peas and never gave her them when am ringing the number its not even the right number for the shop in the galleries

Asked for curry and chips, got chips and half a tea spoon of curry sauce. Won't bother next time.
