The Victory in Sunderland

I've only ever been in when Sunderland are at home and it's always packed as a recovering alcoholic I find it uncomfortable though I do admit its probably different at other times

Nice pub, was busy due to P!nk concert. They had music playing outside which was a nice touch. Staff were as friendly as they could be considering how busy they were.

Good place to go before a game, and if the weather is good a good size beer garden

Great place but very busy on a football day

The Guinness wasn't poured properly and tastes like my dogs hair, service was so slow. There was no room to sit anywhere had to drink my pints in the pouring rain.

Decor outdated floor un even beside bar the Pepsi did not taste right it tasted salty and to over powering taste sorry don't think that thay had the syrup to soda comtisisy right it was to strong

Classic publican. Cheap drinks, traditional interior, perfectly soiled toilets and free scran at half time. 13/10 would recommend to a friend.

At the moment can't give a true impression as the Victory Club is going through internal repairs and improvements, but a great club.

Came here on match day very organised queuing system for bar which was pleasing. Single file which stopped people getting in each others way for ordering drinks. Brilliant idea

was in for sunderland v luton game was one of the few st mirren fans in .made felt very welcome good pint o cider well done all the best .

Ok for a drink after a match but a bit of an aroma.

Can be hit and miss with bar service on quiet match days ( less attractive opposition resulting in smaller crowds ) They sometimes don't open the bottle bar, which has resulted in queueing times of 15 or 20 minutes this season ( 2017/18 ) It used to be pay on the door, but now there is no charge. The male toilets downstairs are a bit cramped, but other than that, the prices are good, & it remains our regular pre & post match watering hole, as the other nearest pubs to it get rammed on match days.

A decent pint on a match day and reasonably priced. The q for the bar can be a pain in the arse tho.

Great place,good atmosphere. Plenty of choice from beers,lagers and spirits. Prices are not bad £5.05 for a pint of lager and a double vodka and coke.

Brilliant after match club. But wouldn't drink here on non match days.

A friendly local pub, originally a working men's club, The Victory is very much open to the public nowadays. It's location near the Stadium of Light makes it a good watering hole for thirsty football fans, away fans are very welcome in this laid back, family friendly establishment. Drinks are very reasonably priced with a good selection of ales, lagers, ciders and wines.
