Disappointed, sauce never had much taste and everything was cold. Sadly won’t be returning

Ordered Shimla main meal. Described as fairly hot ? I regularly have very hot spicy food and this was a lot hotter than fairly hot. It is in area of a phaal dish. I’ve had Phaal many times before and this was definitely in same heat / spice region. Mainly chilli 🌶️ based and unable to taste food due to the heat intensity.

Ordered a meal tonight from cinnamon kitchen it's the worst bhaji and chicken madras I've ever had neither had any taste and the curry just tasted like hot madras powder had been poured into the sauce it was awful and I won't be going there again . So disappointing. I'm wondering if it is under new management as its cash only now which isn't good as most people don't carry cash. If there standard gets any worse I can't see it lasting long.

Not been here in a while but went tonight for convenience as I live local. The curry was bland and didn't fill the container it was in, so was lacking sauce. The naan bread was really thick and stodgy so was inedible and went in the bin. The chips were the best part of the meal which isnt really a testimony for any Indian takeaway. Such a shame as the quality used to be good here - but I won't return. They also only do cash which is a bugbear of mine!

Normally their food is nice but today the saag aloo smelt really bad. It was probably a few days old. Reported it to them through and they just said thanks for letting us know. No apologies given.

I love curries, I’ve tried most place in the area. Cinnamon is my go to now and has been for a while. Keep up the great work, can’t wait till the next one.

Absolutely delicious curries!- we have enjoyed every bit of our takeaway, hands down the best curry I have had in a long time. The Peanut butter and cheese tikka masala special was out of this world!

Food came cold, curry's were watery and very bland! Chicken was very chewy, chips tasted uncooked and rice had a very strange taste. Overal disappointed with everything!

Very thin and watery curries. Lacked taste other than spicy hot. Very disappointing.

Absolutely disgusting service got shouted at one the phone when our order was mixed up and got what we didn’t order waste of money then refused to send out what we actually ordered. Horrified at the whole thing

Food was ok, but delivery driver took our money and told us that he has no change and he will be back in half an hour. He has never came back. Cinnamon did nothing about it. Very disappointing.

Order online had to phone up when 30 mins late, food was bland and expensive for what we only ordered on recommendation don't think I'll order again

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! I'm not normally one to write reviews but just had to say what a wonderful meal my family and I had this evening. It was my daughter's 17th birthday and Cinnamon Kitchen delivered big time, as they always do. I can't rate their food highly enough. Absolutely delicious! Thanks lads!

Nice takeaway staff friendly and helpful

Our first takeout experience with Cinnamon. I ordered our meal just after six and was told it would be ready in twenty minutes. I walked into Cinnamon at 6.20 and the order was ready for me to pick up. Everything was covid safe and you could choose to use their wipes or gel. Even after a five minute sprint home, the meal was still piping hot without the need for heating up. Two sauces, plain curry with King Prawns and a Lamb Pasanda. Although the curry sauce was lovely the Pasanda was the winner. I did feel at first my lamb portion did not match the King Prawn but there really was plenty of meat. Definitely would try again.

Ive been going here a few times now and the food is constantly excellent. Good sized portions, very tasty food and a much wider range of dishes than most take aways. Definitely dererves all five stars for this review.

First time tonight that I have used this takeaway. Firstly, I chose the resturant because of it's 5star hygiene rating. The food was very tasty and very generous portions. We will definitely be using Cinnamon again in the near future.

I ordered from this takeaway for the first time on Sunday 9th February Firstly I couldn’t pay by card I ordered starter which was fine but my main meal king prawn madras was frankly tasteless & the curry sauce was very watery very disappointed

Been to many Indian restaurants/takeouts, this is the best by far. Staff are always amazing, polite and so friendly. Very clean building too, and can even look into the kitchen through a window panel to watch the chefs cook! Big thanks to Cinnamon Kitchen!

Litrally worst of the worst never been left so furious with a place ever asked for a chilli chicken tikka masala like I had the previous week but with normal chicken what came was God only knows what a load of onions chicken swimming in oil when I rang the rude owner snapped and said I got what I asked for as I explained what I asked for he tried to justify himself and said I was lying and I got what I asked for when this was far from the truth wouldn't come out and get the curry to change it after I had spent £21 on a Indian it was 15 minutes also late so the food was barely even warm ruined everyone's meal meal and nothing was eaten I stated I would never ever go back after the way he handled the situation and his response was no problem and hung up was a massive chunk of something also in the curry dont have a clue what it was but he wasnt even intrested in that matter!!

If you want good quality food this is place, it does take a while tbh but when making and preparing a masterpiece, quality comes before time. My new place for a pit stop after racing. Thanks again guys

Lovely fresh food, you can see the kitchen which is lovely and clean, and the chefs. Thoroughly enjoyed the set menu and the portions are excellent.

Have ordered and enjoyed food from here many times. But must say dissapointed at tonight meal. Told 40 mins for delivery but was just over 1hr. Then food was warm. And didnt taste as usual which is normally great. Hope this is one off. As now i am thinking do we go else where now.☹

Never had a bad meal yet, yes sometimes you do wait a while. But it is well worth the wait when you taste the food. If you havent tried it -now is the time.

Terrible attitude on the phone, just noticed they employ illegal immigrants as featured in the sunderland echo, avoid!

The service from this restaurant is unbelievably slow. We ordered erins tonight at 19.10 and got order delivered at 20.50. My husband is diabetic which requires regular mealtimes which we plan. Then not only was food nearly 2 hours late they get order mixed up. Third time this has happened. I would never recommended this takeaway unless you were not hungry, diabetic or not in a hurry. Poor service.. lovely food

Currently the best Indian takeaway in the area by a long way. They have a great range of delicious food that is much less oily than other takeaways # highly recommended!
