Redhill Pop Inn Cafe in Reigate and Banstead

Halal only, no pork based food at all, once again religious beliefs ruin what was once a decent cafe, never visit again...

The Pop inn Cafe is our go to for lunch at least 3 times a week. Service is excellent and the food is great! The avocado on toast, with poached eggs and chilli flakes is my absolute favourite. !

Regularly go with the ladies from work for omelettes, chips & salad. Huge portions, consistent quality, great value & friendly staff.

Unfortunately they've chosen go Halal recently. No more bacon! Shame as their food has been consistently good over the years. But a fry up is not a fry up without bacon and a decent pork sausage.

I popped in here for a coffee as I was using laundrette couple of doors down and had half hour to wait. It was very busy inside always a good sign. I orderd a coffee and sausage sandwich on doorstep bread it was very tasty. There's a good selection on menu and I was able to use outside seating are good for people watching and smokers. Nice little place to watch the world go by.

Cleanest cafe I've ever been to. Friendly welcoming staff. The atmosphere and attentive service was spot on. Now let's get to the food. The chicken steak with chips was a delightful surprise! The chicken was impeccably seasoned and cooked to perfection, a burst of flavor with each bite. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately they are trying to force feed Halal meat to us. There are no signs telling you it is halal only therefore you may not be aware of this. I think this is disgusting and they should at least be honest. This is not a place for an English breakfast. I previously visited this cafe on many occasions and had great food. I will never return.

Not happy with the halal meat being the only menu!!! Only turkey rashers and halal sausages with no signs saying halal only. Definitely not going there again

I cannot believe I just had a breakfast arrive and it was hotter than a meal arriving at the table! Don't know how you do I guys, but very impressed! Thank you so much, delicious!

Very bad service forgot about us and served two other tables before who arrived after us. The waitress apologised when we explained that we arrived before the other patrons she took our order but instead of putting our order in ahead of the other two we waited extra long for our breakfast. There were forgotten items on our breakfast and again the waitress apologised she bought over the items over but had to ask three times for toast and that came halfway through eating. The so called waitress said she’d alter the bill but didn’t when we payed so they gave us two cans of coke. The waitress seemed apologetic but clearly wasn’t!!! They had Deliveroo orders to take and a full cafe to attend to and as two other customers entered they saw the place was busy they went to leave, the chef/cook went out after them and bought them back in to seat them up front, however this chef/cook was wearing gloves at the time he touched the door handle and went straight back into the kitchen area I think that’s disgusting. We won’t be returning ever!!! Very unprofessional

Went with 3 friends on New Years Day. Extremely busy. Firstly waa say next to radiators on full blast so hot it burned to the touch. Next the servers paid no mind to order patrons came in. 2 other tables were tended to before my group despite coming in after us. Not enough staff. After 10 mins finally had our order taken. Got given teas and coffees some several minutes later but lady had the shakes and spilled such on all the saucers. Then it was 45minutes before we got any food. We had to moan twice as 3 tables of people that came in after us got food before us. We was told sorry its coming very busy, then 2 of us (out of 4) got there breakfast but the other 2 of us had to wait several minutes longer so not even eating together. Due to all the hot drinks being long gone or cold, the excessive wait times, others being served before us despite coming in after us I asked if perhaps we could have a free refill. The young man said he would have to ask his boss. He went away and never came back, after this we were avoid no server came to askbus if food was okay and no one would make eye contact. Infact some of my friends that had asked for toast some slices was burned. All in all one and a half to two hours for breakfast is far to much time and food was just okay. Will not be returning here in the foreseeable future.

I have recently had to stay in Redhill for work a few times, when I was staying at travelodge and this time I didn't fancy the breakfast box they provide becaue I wanted something hot so I asked a staff member if they could recommend anywhere and they suggested here (she had just ordered from here herself) it was a very good recommendation the food came quickly and tasted great and very fresh. Will be ordering from here again when I am back in Redhill. :)

Popped in here for breakfast on our way back from Gatwick, and was amazed at the choice of breakfast options! From set cooked breakfasts (around 12 I think) to a 'build your own', which I opted for. The food arrived quite quickly, freshly cooked and piping hot. The portions were so large it could have fed 2 people, but was delicious and very welcome as we'd not had a meal the night before. Would defo 'pop in' here again!

I find the staff very friendly and the the food very good. Big too greasy and fast service and fresh food. I have had the breakfasts many times and the jacket potatoes and the burgers. I am a returning customer . I go about once a month. I am glad they are here.

I have lived nearby this cafe and to be honest it is only recently that we have spotted it. Well we were pleasantly surprised, it is predominately frequented with workmen from nearby industries but that shows how popular it is. There is a mix of locals too that I have seen return on more than one occasion. The menu is vast with choices and set meals as well as the option to create your own. We tend to make up our own breakfasts from the extras list and it is always hot and I do recommend the fried slice. Each time we have visited our meal is consistently great. The place is clean and tidy and the tables are cleared and cleaned quickly too not to mention the staff are friendly and polite and nothing is too much for them. I really recommend you try it, a very good breakfast indeed - thank you so much 😊

First time visiting (went at lunch time around 12:30pm - 13:00pm) on a Friday. Very busy (good sign) went for a Set 1 swapping Eggs for Black Pudding. I had to sit at tables outside to some freed up so wonder if this delayed them cooking my order till there was space to sit down inside as I seemed to wait a long time for my order. Lucky I had day off so wasn't unduly worried. The server was really friendly. Portions was big as I struggled to finish. Tased good. I ordered an extra cup of tea as first one was gone before food was ready... All in all thought it was good vfm (value for money) £5.90 for the Set 1 which is Eggs, 2 x Bacon, Sausage, Chips and Baked Beans... comes with Bread or Toast and a tea or coffee. I then had an extra cuppa - £1.00 so total £6.90. No qualms at coming back again in the future.

I don’t think you could find a better cafe. Food is so clean looking on the plate master chef would be impressed. Food is also excellent quality I highly recommend.

They forgot my bread. The key ingredient to a tasty breakfast is bread. Not happy with this at all..

How lucky we are to have such great cafe around the corner! My husband and I go there for breakfast once a week.We go there not only because they have the best breakfast in the whole area but also it is so clean and tidy there! And I must not forget about staff, they are great! Always give you smile and quick chat before you leave!Totally recommend! Even if you just go for a coffee you will be not disappointed with the quality of service!

Popped in early morning as was in the area, pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and variety of options available on the menu. I went for the traditional breakfast and wow was I surprised. Firstly it was super cheap but this did not reflect on the size and quality of the breakfast. Can’t fault the place, nice outdoor area too. Very happy and will visit again. @thefury01

A great cafe. Fantastic food and large portions. I had breakfast number 2 which is bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, baked beans, bubble and squeak, toast and coffee all for under 6 quid. Restaurant was clean and the service was great.

I only stopped for coffee but the lady behind the counter was very friendly. The place was very clean and comfortable. I'd recommend a visit!

A typical 'greasy spoon' which does great fry-ups. Big generous portions which arrive very quickly and friendly staff.

My preferred go to place for brunch. Affordable set breakfast menus, good portion sizes and friendly service. Parking is difficult out front. But well worth the walk for an awesome greasy spoon brunch.
