Note - Limited menu as closing in 2 days!!! Not told when booked table. However staff very very helpful especially as they will have no jobs in a few days 😄

Always loved it - WHAT A SHAME THAT IT'S CLOSING!!!! ***Whitbread may class it as underperforming, but it's been great for us on our travels over many years.

Took a good friend as a birthday treat..Staff were very accommodating..food nice and quick service..it was our first visit but will definitely be returning

Went here for fathers day ..food was nice most of us had the carvery the meat was amazing only thing that spoilt it was the mash it actually went into the gravy and disappeared so that was a little off putting ...

Very poor service and quantity of food for the price was not good. We stopped for breakfast and the food was stone cold.

Decent family pub, have always enjoyed the food and service has been good on most visits. Have started using more lately as we've moved closer by, so disappointed to hear it's closing on the 4th July!

We (2 adults and 2 kids) went twice for dinner while we stayed at the Premier Inn next door and 4 times for the breakfast. I found the breakfast to be OK for a cooked breakfast but not much choice when it came to anything else. As for the evening food, poor is the word I would use. It looked ok, but didn't taste of much. We tried the steak (which wasn't bad), the scampi (was OK) and the mixed grill (not good - avoid). Kids meals no better. I would have had the Curry on Curry Thursday, but they had run out of rice, and this was just after 6pm! Only good point was that it wasn't expensive.

Free unlimited coffee which wasn't the best and toilets could do with a clean.

Not enough staff but the ones who were there worked exceptionally hard. Food was very basic and unhealthy.

So what can I say, I can't understand how anyone can feel comfortable here. The chairs alone are already greasy and everything sticks. Excellent for getting herpes. You have to see it for yourself and see it. I'm sitting here at another table this week and I'm afraid that the chair under me will report. Hospitality: UK, artificial friendliness and just not in the mood. If they have a health department here, they should stop by here. The doors and windows alone are worth a compromise

Food was nice but customer service side of things lacking, had main course and dessert, no one came over after we had the main course to check if we were ok/had finished, I ended up putting the plates on the bar in the hope it would jivvy them along a bit as it had been half an hour since we finished, had a dirty look from the person behind the bar and fifteen minutes later we were waiting still for our desserts so we enquired and ten minutes later they arrived, not much said either no thank you for coming or anything at all really while we were here felt ignored, yet people buying beers and playing the slot machines have decent conversations with the staff, perhaps a thing only saved for 'regulars' won't return in a hurry shame really because the food was lovely and well priced too just not particularly welcoming or thankful for us calling in

Wasnt impressed at all we all had chips on our meal and the portions of chips we were given were tiny and thats an over statement when ur paying £14/15.00 a meal u want more than 10 chips. Not good at all

Arrived on Easter Bank Holiday, & had a lovely meal, with good service & value for money!!

Where do I start 45 minutes for food to arrive and then it came bit by bit. Had to prompt for missing items. Halfway through my medium rare steak (well done round outside and rare in the middle), the watery peppercorn sauce arrived. Wish I'd stayed at home for a jam sandwich!!

Chain pub so food etc what expect but on Saturday eve great staff and excellent manager aware of breakage/spillage etc v quick and dealt with without fuss.

We were a big group of 9 adults and 6 children, the service wasn't very good, the orders came out at totally different times and 3 adult meals didn't come out at all. Nobody came to ask if we were ok and when we did ask about our food we weren't told when it would be. The birthday cake we brought in for one of the children took them over 20 minutes to light the candles and bring it out after being told by one member of staff that the cake wasn't even there. In the end 2 adults had to leave to go and get food elsewhere although we were given a refund the experience overall was terrible. Personally it's put me off going again in a large group, hopefully it will be better as a smaller group.

More staff than usual front of house however service from the kitchen was slower than normal. The Fish and chicken were dry. The topping on the chicken was half what was served on previous visit. Overall disappointing Revisited April 2024. Number of staff reduced 44min wait for food. Menu description included things missing from my meal. Meals reduced in size from the main menu.

Slow service but the staff are lovely,food was ok but could have been hotter

Having booked an evening meal with you guys at a said time and arriving on time only to be told we had to wait 40+ minutes for food was bad and then placed at a table that was in need of repair with a bad wobble and also the chair was wobbly and needed repair too. After asking to be moved we were put by a window that allowed a draft in. The Guy who moved us said he would tell the counter-staff we had moved only to be later told we had ordered something (which we hadn't) and then later another member of staff finally found us and checked our order and then can back with our food (mildly warm) which I guess had been sit waiting to find who ordered it. I also saw that they had also not removed the table and chair which needed repairing but put an elderly couple there and YES it still wobbled. So after the bad food and service at Castlewood Brewers Fayre on Friday night (05/04) and this at Redhill Brewers Fayre then I think Brewers Fayre pubs should be given a miss from now on. When pick a Premier Inn stay make sure it is not linked to Brewers Fayre pub from now on.

Great all round place. Staff and food excellent.

First time going for a breakfast here and we really enjoyed it! Food was delicious and the service from Jane and Emma was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend Brewers Fayre, Redhill to anyone either with or without kids and we will definitely be returning.

I had my 4 year olds birthday in the play area and it was absolutely great! Timing of the food was brill and it was hot and delicious, all the kids enjoyed. Kiera and Shannon were amazing and so helpful, they both made the whole experience really easy. The party package offers great value for money and shout out to Matt in the kitchen who filled these kids up after 2hours of running around. Would recommend!

Went for Mothers day, was very nice. Well priced, food was lovely. Had to remind them about my daughters pudding but it was busy so I understand! The little gift for the mums was a nice touch! :)

Lovely restaurant, great food! We were staying in the premier inn next door and went for breakfast and were served by Jayne and Claire who were so friendly and professional. They got the food out hot and quickly and were very polite, they clearly care about the place and take pride in their job, thanks ladies

Great value for money Tasty food.

Very busy night, pre booked a table, long queue for ordering food but when I asked the manager how long and was told max 30 mins and the food came in 28 and everything correct , tasty and hot 🔥 couldn't be happier , thanks if in the area would definitely come again !

They were very busy and started food would be half an hour, food arrive an hour later. Ordered two meal,I had a steak I asked for well done, it was medium, other meal I had to ask for after couple of minutes after mine had arrived. Couple on next table who arrived half an hour after us got their meal before us, this is when I asked about our meal

Come with family for some food and drinks. Really good service all the bar staff are so friendly and welcoming. Emma the manager looked after us as we had someone with an allergie couldn't do enough for us

Jayne and Claire looked after my family really well. Food was amazing with a chilled out atmosphere. My veggie breakfast was as good as anybodies. Thankyou both.

Called in on 29th February 2024 for lunch,and it was so nice 🙂. The food was exceptional and the service was fantastic especially Jane who was so helpful, nothing was to much trouble. We look forward to our next visit 👍

Great spot to stop for breakfast if travelling on the M6, far better than any services, fast, efficient and great calue for money. Open from very early morning. The staff are lovely and greet you with a smile.

Very good food and reasonable prices. Staff very friendly. They couldn't do enough to help especially Jayne who works with heart and soul on the job. I would come back any time.

Excellent food, service and staff

We have tried to have family meal for a birthday treat left with out puddings because we had groups of people useing bad languge around our grandchildren we asked a member of staff to ask for some respect which thay did their was 8 of us . Just a thought familys away from groups .

The staff were friendly but I don't think there was enough of them.Food was awful, fish and chips,we didn't eat,it looked as if they had been reheated.Tried to complain, but gave up waiting for someone to speak to.. Won't be going back

For the amount of staff we saw the service was awful , took forever for someone to speak to us when waiting at the till. Waited 50 minutes for food to come out and when it did it’s wasn’t appealing and we weren’t even served everything we payed for. Had to send food back in the end. Only excuse we got given was that they were understaffed which was a lie and pathetic excuse.

Abi is an absolute assets to your team! Her upselling is on point, everything about her service was 5* , a lovely smile to go with her service too.

Had fish and chips it was horrible. Worst meal I've ever had

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door and enjoyed a nice meal and drink at the Brewers Fayre. Good service from Shannan and the rest of the team. It was Wednesday, which is Fish and Chips night, so that's what I had and it didn't disappoint. The Rioja wine was nice and smooth as well. A pleasant venue and provides a great partnership to the Premier Inn.

Met family for breakfast and although it was extremely busy we were made very welcome. John helped with another table when sun was in our eyes. And Jayne made sure we had enough to eat. She even let us know when fresh bacon and sausage came out. Can't wait to go back again just for the warm welcome.

Has great potential but one person is only allowed use the till ......30 min wait on a saturday and the place not even busy Manager needs to employ some people and get them till trained ........no point in having the facility if you cant get the staff to work in it A real shame .....hope they improve it

Loads of praises to Jayne and John for their hospitality and kind services. They make sure we are enjoying our freshly cooked meals. They make us feel welcome everytime, the food is always amazing and there is no better breakfast in Staffordshire then here.

Food was awful, kids chicken nuggets were so dry my daughter couldn’t eat them, my partners cheese pie didn’t even taste like cheese pie, won’t be coming again but everyone’s opinions are different.

Went for breakfast with my 2 kids! Staff were very attentive, and helped when I needed it. Food was very tasty and the chef cooked it perfectly! Thank you 🙂

I work in a branch 2 hours away and have been in many. I have much higher expectations knowing the other side of the service and usually find myself picking at everything but in this branch, the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Can’t fault them

Great service, the pub was very busy and the team tried their hardest to make sure we had our food and drink on time. Food was very nice and had very good service from Harry and John

Visited today. When the staff had ignored me at the counter for quite a while I ordered jacket potato with cheese. The potato had been cooked several times as it was burnt inside and out. There was a sliver of cheese, a bit of shredded lettuce and 3 pieces of tomato. The worst jacket potato I have EVER had. That and a glass of soda water cost me over £9!!!!!!! I wont be visiting again. Rubbish service, rubbish food and daylight robbery.

Our meals were not delivered at the same time and could definitely done with being hotter. They did cater for my wife's dietary requirements.

We had a lovely Meal for our granddaughters birthday and even though they were really busy they found us a table quickly, we had a little wait for the food which was fine as they had informed us of that because they were so busy, Al in all a good experience.

went on a lunchtime they where busy managed to get a table.told there was a waiting time for food orders .but my food was over cooked had to send it back . replaced it with something else .service not that good.had to go looking for staff after 30 mins waiting for dessert. don't think I will go back not impressed.

Better off going to Wetherspoons at least the rubbish food is half the price.

Food was average, wouldn't let my 11 year old autistic boy in rhe play area, broke his little heart, it was the only reason we went to give him a treat. I'll never darken there door again

There seem to be a bad display of the Christmas menu in their booklet. The menu says 14.99 for a two course meal and if you want to upgrade to the rump you have to add 2.49 extra and underneath it says sirloin 2.00 extra but they charged me 14.99 plus 2.49 plus 2.00 when I questioned this the chef said they got it wrong but the manager said no that is right so I got my money back and left.

The Wight was 1 and half hours to.get fish and chips. For 3 they can think again If they think.we are going back never ever

Gone downhill. Service was awful. Friend was given a pint instead of a half and his dessert was unavailable. Took ages for food to arrive. My steak was very dry. Lots of noise from the kitchen. Then just before 11 we were asked to leave. Barely finished our food. We noticed as we left several men were still sat at the bar.

Tried to dine there on the 10th Dec. Lots of empty tables. Left stood there ignored for 15 mins. Whilst I witnessed several customers complaining about meals being wrong or slow. Then eventually asked I'd I had a booking, which I hadn't. Then coldly told sorry you can't eat with us today. Found the young woman very cold and rude. Will certainly never dine there again

We had A good meal my wife enjoyed her meal as normal my chicken wings were ok may be a bit overdone for ME. Others may be not but when we are travelling north to south we stop here and will do so again .the staff are always friendly and helpful. 🙂

We went for breakfast about a week ago and were greeted by Shane and Jane. What a lovely refreshing change to have two happy smiling faces greet you. We were dealt with swiftly and advised sit where we wanted. We had read it was self service but Shane explained all about the reason and what days self service was available. He told us we could order as much as we wanted, and that we could request more. The food was quickly prepared and it was really lovely food. I was a bit dissapointed my yolks were hard but said it was ok. They both said they would get replacements done. Straight away Shane and Jane the dynamic duo brought me yummy replacement eggs with runny yolks. Also for the first time ever I had heard someone in a breakfast restaurant let us all know they would be putting away the breakfast food etc. and please help yourselves. We chatted to them both afterwards to compliment then on such fantastic service lovely friendly atmosphere and that we wanted to do reviews and would definitely be back. I mentioned the call out of end of breakfast stating what a refreshing change. Sadly Shane advised he would be leaving his Team Leader role there to persue a different career. We wish you lots of luck Shane. What an absolute loss to the Shire Horse he will be a very hard act to follow. We think Jane would be ideal for the role she has the same fantastic customer care and service attitude with the same lovely personality. Whoever you pick though Redhill please make sure they have that same customer focus and people personality as Shane. Diana & Steve 😀👌👍👏

Everything was ok until we ordered a dessert and the order seems to have got lost. I had to go and remind the staff that we were still waiting for our food. The food is fine and very reasonably priced

Visited for a birthday party, they had the wrong gender for the child and the host was young and unsure on responsibilities but unlimited coffee is always a winner with a bunch of parents at a party on a Sunday.

Shane and jayne on my first visit made us feel welcome we have an 8 month old baby with us so it can get messy but they were lovley told us cause breakfast was going off n chef wasn't taking anymore orders as he was getting ready for dinner time to help ourselves to coffee toast pancakes crumpets fruit and condiments also fruit jucie for free we waited for play center to open was a little chilly in there but it had just opend and it smelt lush in the restaurant well today we returned a week later and omg the service is outstanding stillabd was told to av a look in baby changing room 😀 so I did n I wasn't expecting wot I saw n smelt it was so so clean and smelt so so nice I could sleep in there can't even smell baby nappies in there honestly if I could drive u would make this my local 😀 i give in 10 out of 10 on every aspect well done Redhill and all your team n facilities and thankyou ill c you Wednesday 😀

We had a family birthday party here recently and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We brought our own cake and the staff gave us plates and forks unlike many other establishments that offer only serviettes. They even gave us a birthday card and chocolates.

We had a party for my little boy in the play area, I was really pleased with it. The girl doing it (I think her name was Kiera) was really kind and helpful. They have a nice party room which was clean, kids had a buffet which was all nice.

Came here a while back and said they lacked staff nothing has changed apart from the food has gone worse

Ordered mains and dessert at the same time, as needed to order before 8 pm, which was fine, but we had to chase up the desserts, as there was a very long gap between courses. Otherwise, everything was fine, and the food and atmosphere were good.

No frills pub grub, get what you pay for. Can't ask for much more than that really.

Fantastic place to eat not been there in a long time and was no disappointed. I want to point out to the staff that although I had to send my steak back 2-3 times since the meat refused to cook more than rare 🤣 I want to thank them for their professionalism and appreciate their efforts. After the 3rd time the steak was spot on (not their fault it was a proper thick steak!) It was a really nice birthday tea

Had breakfast in here 3 mornings recently along with our crew of 6. Friday was not good, despite manager's best efforts as her support staff (x1) was woeful. No communication skills and obviously couldn't tell which table ordered what! I always shudder when it's not buffet breakfast, as it can take ages and you are not guaranteed to get what you ordered, which is exactly what occurred. However Saturday & Sunday morning's were buffet and thus fine. There is only one thing I could pick holes in and that is the coffee machine which swiftly builds a queue as the brand they are using has to be the slowest coffee maker in the world!

Not the best experience this time... We went for the breakfast... There were no clean plates, had to wait ages for food to be restocked. Dirty mugs at the coffee station. I will say- I have been before, not for the breakfast and it was considerably better. Staff seems stressed and busy- only actually saw 3 faces so maybe there was a shortage

Very unhygienic place, grime in every area, tables not clean and cutlery was dirty with marks and bits of food still on (but obviously have been through the washer). Worst thing is the staff try to argue and excuse all of this and I was told that cutlery is probably dirty as some people just put used cutlery back with the clean! 🤢 We waited 25min for my son's desert after we finished food, the place was nearly empty. Very poor customer experience. Also tables around us left with food etc not cleaned for duration of our visit. The customers swearing in loud conversation right next to kids area was hugely disturbing and inappropriate too - staff said nothing. The food is ok standard. Looks way nicer on menu and prices are not cheap - does not match the expectations. We only came for soft play.
