......By the looks of it. They're taking their time though. I've tried to find out from the onsite guys if going to re-open as a pub with same owners, but they are all foreign and don't seem to understand much English. Been closed over a year now, and still at it. When and if re-opens, I'll visit and review. Wasn't a bad pub I thought, never ate there, only in for drinks.

Went on a recommendation by our hotel. We arrived during a non peak time, maybe 6 other people in the place. We stood there until someone told us to have a seat. We waited for another 25 minutes but no one even came to take our drink order. We left while the staff just looked our way and continued to have a personal conversation. Very disappointed!!!

Also there is good cocktails, differnents Fish & Chips like scampi or veggie F&S, the perfect place for me and my friend to have a break at the end of the day. I used the venue twice with a group booking for their function room. It has tasteful decor, stunning views and doesn’t smell the way many pubs do. Both times the service was good, food excellent and drinks not as overpriced as in many central locations. Sharing platters were a good size too. I’d definitely go there again

This traditional London pub caught our eye as we looked for a somewhere to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. It wasn’t particularly busy, being a Monday night, but that meant the barmaid had time to recommend drinks to us. We opted for a festive ale and a plum cider. She also took the time to ask us how they were when she passed by our table later on, which we thought was a nice touch.

Went here for a pint. Good location to our hotel. Good atmosphere, what you think a pub should look like. A couple of beers they did not have. Bartender was VERY rude and it was not a language barrier. Other than that, the food was standard pub food. If you can get past the rude servers then this pub is for you.

Nipped in for a drink before heading out for food. Drinks were average price and decent quality. Service was questionable. It took 5 minutes for the bar man to work out how to put our drinks on the till for me to pay which was a little frustrating as it wasn't anything more taxing than two pints. Not bad for a quick pint but wouldn't rush back.

Oh well oh well where do I start... so WORST PLACE on the planet by the way, let me start off like this. By boyfriend and I came in for a simple easy beer on a Wednesday night around 9:30 pm. As soon as we approach the counter I ask to the rudest blonde lady what is the sweetest beer they have (being myself not a fan of bitter drinks). As an answer I get a "we have no sweet beers". And to that I feel like I have to respond "I didn't ask for a sweet beer, just for the one that is the least bitter". Clearly annoyed, the rude lady just says "THEY ALL TASTE THE SAME". Not really sure how I wanted to respond to that but I was not in the mood for a fight so I ask for two random beers and BEFORE she pours them I ask her if it was ok that I paid with the credit card since I had no cash on me. Her answer was: "I'm not going to pull the machine out JUST for your two beers". Shocked by her lack of respect towards someone who was going to give her money my boyfriend and I walk out of the place pretty annoyed and find ourselves another bar. Too bad I live right next door to this horrible place, you've lost a good customer

If you're ever in the Bayswater area of London and fancy a drink, i wholeheartedly recommend that you avoid the Redan. It looks lovely on the outside, and pretty nice on the inside as well, but the draught beer is utterly undrinkable. My friend and I tried two pints (Guinness and London Pride), which we are both quite familiar with. Neither tasted even remotely like it was supposed to; a bitter, vaguely mycotic taste completely masked the actual flavour of the beers. Either their pipes haven't been cleaned in ages or it's all gone off. It wasn't cheap, either. Two pints cost just shy of a tenner, the most expensive round we bought in our West London pub crawl. There are other pubs, which are almost certainly superior, within a minute's walk of this place, so do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to Not The Redan.

It was a nice clean place and after an hour we were able to order, i had a lovely Wild Mushroom pie with vegetables and my friend had something mexican, the food was lovely although i was a bit jealous when i saw a sunday roast come out to another table, that looked seriously yummy. I've just returned from a few days in London and tried a few pubs round the Queensborough area. The Redan pub was the one we returned to every night. We ate there 4 nights in a row and found it good. Tried most things but found the Hunters chicken best. It was always pretty busy. On the 5th night we walked in and no table available. The barman noticed us but didn't seem to care. There was a couple using two tables that he could have dealt with. In the end we got sick of just standing there so walked down to the Prince Alfred and had a good meal. It was more expensive though. Maybe it was just that we were only £25 a night spenders but we'll probably dodge them next time we visit London. (Which is only once a year.)

Some background first. While I don't live in England I've been visiting The Redan pretty much every time I'm in London for the past 15 years or so because it's within striking distance of where I stay and where I usually try to eat. It was basically a good old-fashioned English city "boozer", with a thick blue haze in the days before the smoking ban but a lively crowd of locals, visitors and language students all crammed in year-round. The beer was well maintained and there was always a decent selection available. It was quirky and rather run-down, certainly, but if you wanted to experience English beer in an authentic English pub setting it was a perfectly acceptable example of the species. But at some point in the last year or two The Redan has passed into new hands, a brewing company whose strategy is plainly to sanitise and standardise the offer by making the interiors uniform and the beer options a choice between a couple of their own in-house products and the odd outsider. This wouldn't matter quite so much if the result wasn't so comically poor.Last Monday evening we went in there and two of the four beers were "off": I had to make do with the less attractive in-house standard which I don't especially like (but it was raining heavily outside, we'd walked quite some way to get there, so were in no mood to just leave). We tried again last Saturday night in the early evening. Encouragingly all four beer pumps had their labels facing us so we eagerly ordered a couple of pints of the pleasant guest beer from a Manchester-based brewery. We were aghast to be told by the hard-faced woman behind the bar that all four beers were "off". This time we turned on our heels and went elsewhere. Now I'm no specialist in the licensed victualling trade and perhaps there's a clever new business model from this brewery that involves trying to acquire a reputation for its outlets as the sort of pub where the beer generally isn't available. But I have my doubts. And the fact that The Redan is only 5 minutes' walk from other pubs which *do* have their beers available, especially on a Saturday evening, may well prove not the best strategy for attracting back happy repeat customers.Certainly we won't be repeating the experience. Farewell The Redan: it was nice knowing you. But pubs which can't manage to arrange to provide any beer are simply not our cup of tea.

I've visited this pub the last 2 Sunday's to enjoy a roast dinner but there hasn't been any available yet they've been promoting them. I thought things would have got better since the refurbishment but no. SOME of the staff here are a great especially the lady who I think is called Joanne and the young ladies in the evening so I enjoy coming here for the company of them as they are really accommodating but some things really need to change in regards to food and some members of the team (the pug faced blonde lady whose the manager). The low mark I gave is regards to the food but not all the team as I actually enjoy coming here.

We were looking for some traditional food the night we went to The Redan. We had passed it a few times during our stay and my husband was keen to try it. The pie were tasty but took a long time to arrive, about half an hour, but if the reason for that is that they were freshly cooked, then that's ok! At almost £14 they were mighty pricey! It was £7.75 for a large glass of very average red wine! There isn't a fantastic range of beers on offer for such a big boozer. Contrary to some other reviews, we found the two girls behind the bar very nice and friendly.

Can not fault the food. Shame about the attitude from the bar staff!! Clearly not a "people person" maybe better suited out the back.

This was a lovely looking pub with excellent food. The pies were very tasty. Unfortunately the experience was completely ruined by the bar staff, an older blonde lady, who was very rude to us. We will not be coming back her because of this and I would not recommend the pub to others, what a shame.

Been here in the past and always had a good experience, so when we heard that they had a refurb we had to come take a look. It looks amazing....especially the lounge bar upstairs. Had another lovely meal and as usual the staff were fab (especially towards my 1year old who was having a grumpy day)

Frequented this establishment last weekend for food and drinks. Great place and Joanne behind the bar couldn't do enough for us and other patrons. Nothing was to much trouble for her. Would definitely go in again if ever I am in the Bayswater area. Thank you so much Jo, you are a star.

Consiglio di non stare in quel posto dove lo staff è anche poco cordiale.I went there with my boyfriend after school just to have a drink and to eat some chips! The drinks were without ice and the chips came after 30 minutes! I don't suggest this pub at all! I know that this company is plenty of pubs around London that I visited with pleasure! I highly recommend to stay away from that place where the staff is also rude.

It has the look and feel of a traditional pub and I had been wanting to try it as a variation to the one we frequent in the neighbourhood. Stopped by for an after-dinner drink on a Thursday -- it was just lovely. Friendly groups at tables, single people enjoying their drinks, the music was bit loud at first but they turned it off eventually. It is advertised as a sports bar but it did not feel like a specialty bar. Would visit again to sample the pub food -- they have the mainstays plus interesting variations.

Used to be a tourist dump masquerading as a traditional pub. Don't know what happened, but they actually have a decent selection of beer on a rotating basis and the food, though typical, looks appealing and generous in quantity. Still busy with Euro traveller and football (soccer) fans on game night. Toilets a bit of a challenge up steep winding stairs. Overall, much better than it was, staff actually cares now. Worth a stop or more. (See my review of Kings Head Moscow Road for a totally different take on pub management)

I have been two times in this pub and I won't go anymore for sure!!!!! The first time nothing was available on the food menu, we finished with the platter of Nachos (not good at all, and very small portion for the price). 2 sauces were missing and I had to ask 4 times at the bar of we were gonna have it. The staff was pretty rude and not really concentrating. We wanted to try again yesterday and we went with friends from France. Everybody ordered at the same time burgers and two of us just starters. At least 5 minutes waiting between each plate. And the starter (just a soup) came 30 minutes after! A meal was missing because they didn't have anymore. They told us when we asked 1h later. The worst now is that one of our friend got her bag stolen. The pub wasn't busy at all so we asked to check the cctv. They didn't want to check. The manager's daughter came and told me that the cctv were off anyway, and told that wasn't normal and told me that I was rude! When my friend asked here again she said that she didn't have the time to check! I already reed a clomplain about stollen stuff.. You can't trust them!!!!! Don't go there!

Beautiful Italian style latte. Served promptly and without fuss and / or upselling. As a visitor to the city, this was a revelation (or should I say ‘Ravello-ation’).

I frequently visit this Starbucks before work and the staff truly make my mornings all the better. They are polite, respectful and all around amazing people! As I go there regularly the staff go out of their way to get to know you and your order which just makes my mornings so much brighter. 10/10 would always recommend this location to people!

Thank you for delightful afternoon. The afternoon tea was genuinely nice and enjoyable. However, upon entering the restaurant, we were led to seating where there were already six people seated and we would all been really squashed sitting among them with no privacy to talk as we would have all been talking amongst each other. We requested if there were any other seats and then were seated on the terrace where there was plenty seating. We were then left with a menu by the waitress but no explanation of the booking we had made and what we should be looking at. A waiter came along 5 minutes later to say if we were ready, and it was then I asked the waiter to confirm what we were booked in for and confirm the menu. Both the waitress and waiter who both served and seated us did not appear to be interested and showed no customer service, which is a big shame, so not really a pleasant start for the afternoon tea I had booked for. Whilst we were having the afternoon tea, two other waitresses came to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything, Both showed so much enthusiasm and interest that it was such a nice feeling and it’s a shame we did not get that service when we came in, got seated and got served.
