Red Sun Chinese Takeaway in North East Lincolnshire

purchased 5 meals { its a takeaway } all excellent , not the first time we have used the red sun and will definitely be returning

Absolutely ridiculous. We have a menu at home and without telling anyone, they have increased their prices astonishingly! What would have been a 22.10 order is now 32.10?! Awfully expensive. In addition, we asked for a portion of 2 spring rolls as described on the menu, they gave us 2 bags of 2 spring rolls. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

The food was very poor... I'm pretty sure I overdosed on salt... Singapore rice noodles was poor, crispy shredded chicken was poor... basically I wouldn't waste your money here... shame really after all the good reviews... definitely will not order from here again...

Ordered 4 meals which we all enjoyed excellent choice, good sized portions reasonable priced recommended will definitely use again

We have tried all the Scartho Chinese takeaways and whilst the others are OK this is tops. We have only ordered since the new owners have taken over and the quality and quantity of the food is exceptional. Best sweet and sour sauce ever and the chicken and prawn balls were golden and crisp. Also had salt and chilli ribs and wings. Free prawn crackers much appreciated. Extensive menu with alit of choice. Friendly, helpful staff. On the occasions we have had food delivered it has always been earlier than advised.

So.. have our favourite Chinese.. but as the menu came through my door.. thought we'd try something different! Delivery came with 40 minutes and had a really lovely Chinese lady (masked up) delivering.. polite, friendly and super smiley (through her eyes!) We ordered a range of food. Chicken wings with Spicy salt and chilli. Great starter.. about 6 large portions.. very very salty! Not for faint hearted.. and quite spicy due to the chilli. Fresh sliced chilli also scattered over the dish. Very nice.. moist chicken.. hot in temperature too. A little too salty for me.. but was expected.. as that's the nature of it really! Lol. Crispy shredded chilli beef. Hot, sweet and lovely and crunchy. My usual place.. very syrupy and chewy. Not here. The sauce.. chilli, ginger and soy I think.. sweet but hot. A really good dish. Chicken satay. Hot, rich and some peanut taste. Not obvious peanut pieces or flavour.. but still a nice dish with tender chicken and many veg. Mixed balls sweet and sour. King prawns and chicken. Beautiful. Hot, soft yet the batter crunchy to perfection. The sauce a little runny for my liking, sweet and a hint of spice.. maybe ginger. All very nice. Vegetable fried rice. Light, fluffy and full of veg. Mushrooms quartered and soft, other traditional veg crunchy and tasty. Chips.. usual frozen.. but as expected.. cooked to perfection. Extra curry sauce. Great flavour.. not salty. Not the usual Chinese curry.. a lot better I think. Free prawn crackers were great. Again.. different to the norm. Thinner and lighter than most. Delicate flavour and texture. Very good indeed. Never tried here before.. but this was a most pleasant experience. I have a feeling we will be ordering again one day! Good luck to all who are new.. I get the feeling it is a family run business.. and going by this order and service... deserve much success.

Don't make a habit of writing a "Review"....however...always an exception to the rule and...We ALL Love this Take away...food obs DELICIOUS ....but it's the whole package for us ...from phoning our order "in"...always a friendly and helpful and polite person takes our order....down to the food being delivered piping hot...fresh... plentiful and tasty and by a lovely gentleman...this HAS to be the absolutely BEST Chinese food we have had in Grimsby x.

There are 3 takeaways in our village but all have been rubbish for years. Red sun is under new managment. Its excellent. Best chinese in our village. New dimond is rubbish its all carrot and onion i was discusted with that place . Red sun every time from now

I just can't believe ..30 pounds of take away into the bin ...smelt foul ...I can't eat chinese for a while now ...

Left work at 9 pm and was hungry..winner winner Chinese dinner. The place is clean enough and looks to be run by a ageing Asian couple. Although very friendly I don't think they speak English to great. Food takes a while but all freshly cooked when you order. Lovely food great portions.

The food was high standard Cantonese style. Quite quick and friendly service. Easy access for cars and plenty of parking. I would recommend this establishment.

Always use this takeaway, great food, great taste, always delivered hot. Lovely owners and always pleasant.

Quality food and delivered as expected. Food hot and fresh. No problems encountered. Would go again!
