Now called Khatris Nepalese Restaurant food is excellent great choice for vegans as well. Staff are really friendly. We'll worth a visit

Usually have a fantastic meal from here, not this time unfortunately. Korma did not taste or texture right, keema naan burnt and only received a tiny pot of mint sauce for the salad poppadoms.

Hi just like to say we're very disappointed we've been coming here for 20 years even when it was the bilash we always highly recommend the food here the korma has always the best but just recently it Is shocking the worst korma ever don't like to say this but that's how much its changed don't know what's happened

Really delicious food, but we had to chase up the restaurant as we’d been waiting more than 20 minutes past the estimated time. The restaurant couldn’t get hold of the delivery driver, thankfully the food arrived within 5 minutes or so after speaking to the restaurant. No apology from the delivery driver for being late and the food was barely lukewarm.

Me and my family has used red peppers for the last 6 years consecutively, never used elsewhere and when I have tried other places I have never had food as good as here. I always choose here for takeaways and meals out, food never disappoints.

Food arrived freezing cold had to warm everything in microwave. Not ideal when paying so much for it

Wrong item delivered, and chips were basically 3/4 oil.

Front of house looks nice, but it's behind the scenes that's important, and behind Red peppers, it is not very good, they have recently got a ZERO food hygiene rating, which is really bad when you are preparing meat's like chicken, so really people should stay well clear, unless you don't mind food poisoning, which in my experience is not very nice at all.

Absolutely disgusting Had flies landing at the table and around our party of 4 on a Friday evening. I asked the waiter and he said the fly zapper thing on the wall was not working. Had an Instant bad stomach after eating here. Would never come back. Would give it 0 stars if I could, not 1.

The waiters at Red chili where very welcoming and the food was great we both would definitely go again if we visit again.

Have lots of curry’s from here , really tasty , tonight’s was a little strange in taste so I took back and explained , they were really helpful made me a completely new curry while I waited no extra charge and it tasted amazing , will defo be going back

Food was delicious and piping hot, slight mark down due to the fact one of the curries was leaking so my clothes, carpet and vinyl flooring are now stained…

Fantastic food but we had a hungry grandson desperate for his meal... so we ordered for a 630pm delivery the earliest we could get .. it arrived 655 PM.. not bad for us but he was asking us Where is the food? ! Quality of the food was exceptional ... we would order again but perhaps not when our grandson is staying over!

£26 paid for and nothing turned up even after pre-ordering. Absolutely unacceptable that this can happen, when the restaurant had the order before even opening. Avoid!!!

Food was stone cold and when I mean cold I mean cold rang restaurant and offered refund next time not happy when you spend 34 for cold food and he had the audacity to put the phone down

Im sorry to say this is the first time of complaining, usually I can't find a fault its excellent hot food and on time. (See previous reviews)Unfortunately the £70+ order was 30mins late food was cold just eat told me to enjoy my food before it had arrived. Sorry Red Peppers you let me down tonight. Can you please return to your usual high standards.

From The two times stated it was 20/30 mins late Driver apologised that’s no problem But the food is cold not even warm I mean cold!!! Chips like cold cardboard Onion barg over cooked and tiny nana bread cold and soggy We had a dip and potato dish added extra again cold( dip may have been sent that way ) I have tried to call 6 times to discuss the matter but the phone rings out ! First time ordering from here as well!!!!! £25 binned a refund would be nice As we have had to order something from another place !

Waited nearly 2 hours for food and it turned up stone cold!!!! Had to warm it up in microwave for 2 mins and then it was just luke warm

I pre ordered my meal on just eat earlier on in the day (before they opened) for 7pm it did not come until 8pm

strange atmosphere, waiter of sort of indifferent towards me throughout the meal. The food was very bland, I could barely taste it. It was quite expensive too. I wouldnt go back.

Hadn't been to Red Peppers in Rugeley since the Covid-19 pandemic began and was positively itching to have a good curry so my girlfriend and I decided to revisit our local curry house. Straight off the bat it was a very uncomfortable experience with not even a greeting just shown to a table then left without a word. After about 5 minutes we were only asked one word (very rudely)... DRINKS! Didn't feel like we were welcome but we ordered a few poppadoms and a main. Much to our surprise the main came out and it wasn't what we ordered, we wanted a chicken tikka masala but we got the balti version instead. After realising we had ordered the wrong one the waiter offered to do the right curry but we would have had to pay for the one we had ordered wrong. I thought why the hell should I pay for a simple mistake as well as the replacement? In the end another member of staff offered to change it but that's not the point after I would of had to pay for the replacement. Very rude staff, no manners and watched like we were doing something wrong. No way are we eating at Red Peppers again or even ordering. Very unwelcoming atmosphere if you're not spending a lot of money so beware if you just want a small meal because they will be funny with you for the rest of your visit. Avoid at all costs if you can!

Food tasted nice and was delivered on time, although I don't think you should have to tip away a layer of oil before you put in the microwave to heat up, I also added a not asking them to make sure everything was cooked hot. Rice was cold, bread was luke warm and the curry was warm at best, had high hope as the sit down meals have been really good, will never order again from here, very poor

Favourite Indian restaurant food is always cooked fresh and exceptionally good value for money. Always welcomed by friendly staff.

Treat like second class citizens when we visited - felt like we had spoiled their night . Sent everyone out to gawp at us and the food was bang average . NEVER been to a place that charges £2.70 for raita and £2.50 for a spoon of mango chutney . Food was cooked within 10 mins . Chicken Tikka main like rubber and no raita with it !! Rice dry as sticks . Waiter refused to acknowledge me and spoke only to the MR. £36 for 2 main courses and a nan - way too expensive !

Food was nice just cold when arrived

Ordered 4 main courses and assorted sides. They delivered 3 mains and the bits and pieces. Called to ask for the 4th meal and about half an hour or so later it eventually turned up, once everyone else was finished eating and the rice, naan etc had gone cold. Thought they could have at least included some fresh rice. Oh well 😒

Delivered exactly on time, great food, great service

Absolutely amazing, madras was beautiful, lovely sauce and plenty of meat. Portions were plentiful and two clean plates at the end of the meal.

Rice was binned as it was cold on arrival. Bombay potatoes were cold. Not as tasty as we’re used too from this establishment. Main curry had leaked in carrier during transit so everything was covered in sauce and much of the sauce was in the bag.
