Jaipur Restaurant in Cannock Chase

What a terrible experience. We sat down and asked for a jug of tap water, the waiter told us they don’t serve it. I said every restaurant serves it. He bought over a college who pulled an A 4 sheet off the wall and placed it on our table without comment. It stated that as they are not licensed they are not obliged to give tap water. We walked out and went to India Red. Glad we did what a lovely meal. We will never return to Jaipur it has gone rapidly downhill since opening

A group of friends went for a meal in which 3 of us were driving. We asked for a jug of tap water to which we were refused! We argued the case but the staff were very adamant that they did not have to provide tap water. We don’t drink fizzy drinks and was astounded that we could not get a glass of water eve though they have a tap! Food was lovely but think we will take our custom somewhere else next time. Place was empty and if the staff refuse to give water. I think they may find themselves at a loss over something so petty not everyone likes soft drinks and sparkling water.

The food is always great here, the staff are attentive and helpful. Since our last visit however they have started charging for soft drinks and they are not cheap considering the mark up on draft coke and lemonade. This sounds petty but you can bring your own drink IN if its ALCOHOLIC. No SOFT drinks allowed.

Take your own water! Asked for jug of water to be told they don’t supply it anymore. We had designated drivers on our table. While this restaurant is not licenced (if it was legally you have to provide tap water) its poor customer service. What made it worse was after asking for water and being refused they gave the table next to us water as they had given them hot chilli’s … We were told we could buy water or soft drinks. It’s a real shame, because the food was outstanding and the waiters very friendly.

Most of my food was fine but the onion bahgees were very disappointing 2 overcooked flat bahgees for £4 let my whole meal down

Nice place however food portion sizes are appalling the rice for nearly £4 came in a tiny bowl more like a ramekin size. Same with the chips , maybe 30 chips maximum.. This is done so u cant share them and have to buy more. I complained at the time and it fell on deaf ears , they couldnt of cared less. Chef garlic special was 6 chunks of meat in the curry for £10.95. When we got the bill their was no complimentary after eight type sweet as everywhere does. Asked about this and he came back and said we havent got any 🤦🏻‍♂️ £55 for 2 starters , 2 mains, chips rice and keema nan. Its same price as panshi and no where near as good Wont be going back ,

Found plastic in balti dish (nail sized) that they confirmed was from a bag of garlic and said they will 'look after us'. Ate the rest carefully.. fun. Although tasty food. Only gave 10% off... hmmm, take that how you will, hence review sorry.

Been quite a few times, staff make me and my daughter very welcome, they made my daughters birthday special by bringing out a cake which the restaurant provided. Food is always hot and tasty, can't fault this place.

Bought a meal tonight 21/6 for delivery. Meal was promised within the hour. We had to call after over an hour. When it arrived, it was poor quality and cold. I had to reheat my food in our microwave. I recon it was cooked and left on the side for longer than it should have been...hence cold on arrival We have ordered from here in the past and always found good quality. I assume they have changed their chief? We'll think twice before ordering again 🤔

Me & my twin celebrated our birthday yesterday , we didn’t book a table , from the minute we walked in they made a fuss , found us a lovely table , our waiter was funny , food was delicious and plentiful , really good value, great atmosphere,beautifully decorated! Thank you for making our night , we will be back :))))))

Excellent food. Carpark near the Library or park on the carpark behind the Pound Shop. Not much street parking.

Food was ok, busy friday night so was a little loud, service was good although they tried to take remaining poppadoms before they were finished hence 3 stars for service

Very good restaurant, produced a very nice Balti that wasn't even on the menu, but did it anyway. Busy popular place early in the evening.

The menu displays a price, and then a different price is charged when the bill comes. They also advertise offers around the restaurant that aren’t honoured. A shame, as the food was good, however I wouldn’t choose to come back

Food arrived 20 minutes late, when it eventually came food was cold - food separated from oil - stale bread Customer service was terrible when complaining Would avoid!

Great night here once again. We had over 40 of us arranged to have a meal here and the service was absolutely spot on. We ordered ahead to make it a little easier for the kitchen, but every meal came out efficiently, hot and fresh. Could not fault a thing. The atmosphere was spot on also with just the right level of ambient music. They even turned the sound down for is when we had speeches. So whether you want a quiet meal in a nice corner, or you have a large group, this place will take care of you perfectly. The food is super tasty and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back again.

Last night I dined at Jaipur Indian Takeaway and was blown away by their exceptional culinary expertise. I opted for the Lamb Jaipur Special, and it was an absolute delight! Had a meal here last week as my daughter was visiting from Dublin and I have to say it was the worst meal ever, ordered a simple butter chicken and it was so so sweet I couldn't eat it, and it wasn't just my one we ordered 3 butterfly chicken and they were all laced with honey..my son and daughter were ill after..

Sheer showmanship elevates this restaurant above the others. The food is delicious too 😁

Went for a family meal tonight, it was absolutely rammed full...in itself that's always a recommendation... service was brill, food was great... as you would expect for a big restaurant being full, it was a a liitle loud... but a fab night!!

First time ordering a delivery. Will be a returning customer. We had a tikka masala and a bhuna both with sides. Plenty of meat in the curries. Nothing missed from order. Food areived on time. Fantastic would consider dining in.

First time eating here. Staff very friendly, checking if everything ok, one noticed it was sunny and we were near the window so offered to pull the blinds. The decor is beautiful, very modern, panelled flowers over one area to make a lovely photo opportunity. I ordered a madras which I'm always dubiois of doing so at a new venue as some places tend to make just heat and watery, but this was so full of flavour, stunning. We all ate until we was stuffed and enjoyed every bite. The added details made the evening, dry ice on our table and Little smiley pills which turned into our cleanser towel -fab! We were at the very start of service and it was a super hot day so the restaurant was quiet - hence 4 stars for atmosphere but not restaurants fault.

First visit, and it was excellent. The food was lovely. The service was excellent the staff were very friendly. No negative comments. We will be returning soon.

We have friends in Hednesford and love this restaurant so much we certainly don’t mind the train trip from Bham to eat there. The staff are so friendly, the food is excellent and great value for money. I had a vegetable dopiaza with mushroom rice delicious! Take your own drinks as well.

Worst experience we have ever had !!! Food taken forever to come out was about to walk out . Did not even bother with our coffees couldn’t wait to leave ! Food was bland and just chucked together . Shame as this was our go to Indian .

Oh dear. Ordered a delivery. Lad on the phone struggled to get the order right so I insisted on them reading it back to me to ensure it was correct. Had to ring after and hour as nothing had appeared but they said it had left. Arrived 15 mins later. Order was incorrect!!! I rang but it was too late for them to send another CORRECT meal as it was now 9pm snd I don’t want to eat later. In their defence they said to tell them when I ordered again and they would sort it out! We will see!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ We gave eaten in before and it was really good, need to sort out the delivery!

Group of 6. Arrived at opening time of 5pm, only group there, didn't take our order for 30 mins, me dad being awkward had starter so the rest of us ononly on mains had to wait another hour to eat, food was nice when it did arrive though not enough meat, but as we spent over 2.5 hours there even with some having dessert I still feel to much time waiting. And don't get me started on assuming my order of chicken chilli masala for standard masala and missed my rice?! Dry ice??? No need !!!

We visited on a Friday evening for a curry, first time here. I had a North Indian garlic chilli chicken which had no spice at all. Was quite disappointed. My partner had a chicken Pathia which also was very bland, tasted like a tomato based sauce like Spag bol.. The only thing good here was that you could bring your own drink, but probably won’t return. Shame as staff were very good.

As a party of 8 - we had our first visit here and we're not disappointed, service quick and efficient with polite waiters. Venue clean and nicely decorated. Food and service was good as expected. Enjoyable visit by all and the dry ice was a great touch 😊👍 P.s we booked in advance to avoid disappointment

Thought we would give this another try as last experience wasn’t great but was equally as disappointed. Service was very poor, didn’t listen to our order and got it wrong and meal to be honest was disappointing. We won’t be giving it a third chance.

Food absolutely horrible chicken in curry was bland and tasteless like it had been cooked several times then reheated , Bland tasteless curry sauce Keema nan was small with next to no meat in and tasted vile. As this was a takeaway had broken bits of soft stale pappodom in this aswell ,by FAR the worst Indian takeaway in Hednesford !!

What a rubbish place. Walk In asked for a table and we were seated straight away. Wait 15 mins. Not even offered a glass although they were setting tables up around us. We finally walk out. Just smiled then opened the door for us to walk out. NEVER anywhere in the world have we ever experienced anything so bad! Don't bother unless you like being completely ignored. I only normally leave positive reviews.

Eaten there a couple of times. First time service was awful - I mean awful. Food was amazing. Took friends there last night. Got fobbed off with some curry. Was bland. Not Jalfreizi. If I want a beef dinner and yorkshire pudding, I dont expect chicken and stuffing. Knocked £16 off the bill but not the point. Never again

Ordered a delivery took over 2 hours to arrive. This is appalling service no discount given even though we rang twice to see what was happening. Do not use this company, The worst Indian in the cannock area there are plenty more options to choose from than this venue. I would say this is the worst Indian takeaway service I have experienced.

Very tasty food and great service from the staff

Service was fine. But there were big bits of cinnamon bark and 4 or 5 bay leaves in the meal. Excellent that real spices are used but I don't want there to be more of them than meat in the final dish.

First time ordering from here. The mixed tandoori was really nice. However. I ordered mango chutney and it didn’t arrive. Plus the mint sauce was extremely spiced, like lip numbing spicey and mint sauce should not be like that. Chips were Luke warm also. So bit disappointing.

Since opening their new premises ive been a few times to eat in and always use Jaipur as my goto takeaway , supurb food and the staff are on point 100% , by far the best indian restaurant in the cannock area 👌

Went last week with some mates, ordered a Dhansak and can honestly say it was the best one I've had in a long time. My mate had a Biryani and said the same thing. For 11.95 for four courses (poppadom, starter, main and side, and a choice of coffee or banana fritter), you can't complain. I'm hard pressed to think of a better Indian restaurant in the Cannock Chase area. Oh, and their Ferrero Rocher waffle is to die for...

First time in since thay moved staff very helpful food excellent good service decor nice if you want alcohol with your meal you will need to take it with you over all we had a nice time enjoyed the meal

Ordered a chicken pathia, started to eat when realised it wasn't chicken called over the waiter only to find they had given me Lamb. I haven't eaten lamb for over 30 years they didn't even take it off my bill until we complained again. I DON'T EAT BABY ANIMALS. FELT I ALL THE NEXT DAY. Contacted them that evening through their website and they have ignored me.

Haven't been in since they moved from over the road... was pleasantly surprised. We all had great meals thanks guys :)

Having had some excellent meals in the restaurant, we decided to try their takeaway service, I wish I hadn’t bothered. We ordered a couple meals, nan breadsand rice. Delivery was close to 2 hours and the meal was way short of expectations. The meat hadn’t infused with the sauces, neither was cooked fully, this was the same for the keema nan, which we threw away. I could have understood if the meals were specialty meals, but these were traditional standard fare. I’m hoping this was a one off, that’s why I’ve given 2 stars, otherwise it’d be no stars.

Honestly SHOCKING! If you want French toast for a waffle go to this place. The waffle wasn’t freshly made, they used a supermarket one and a drop of Nutella and 3 strawberries. They charged me for a waffle that didn’t arrive also. Disgusting. I will never ever order from here again

Just had a take out from jaipur and can honestly say it was the worst meal ive ever had. After waiting 2 hour for delivery the rice was stuck together the masala was that sweet like had a whole bag of sugar in, the prawns completely like cardboard with no taste at all, chow mein swimming in grease its gone straight in the bin, disgusting 🤢

As always the food was of highest quality and the staff very attentive and professional.

Attentive friendly staff, good menu with loads of choice, food took about 40 minutes for 4 covers and it tasted glorious, food was ' piping' hot, in fact it was sizzling on the plate, prices were very fair, definitely going back!

Went with wife for an anniversary meal and could not fault anything. Portions were great and food tasted really good (I had Jaipur special). Staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Will be returning regularly.
