Absolutely shocking meal no taste chips was like they were cooked last week phoned up to complain apparently they close at ten o’clock on a Friday night what does that tell you phoned up on Saturday when they opened they didn’t want to know and apparently they close at 9 o’clock in the week so what do that tell you so folks go else where do t waste you money go else where 😡

You need to edit your opening times, I turned up at 11.45pm last night in hope of getting a quick takeaway after travelling from the airport and holidays to find you shut. On here says open to 1am on a Saturday night

Do not trust the price that you get off there website they advertised one price then charge another charged me an extra £7 on my order for a meal for two. False advertisement and someone told me its been going on for months

As stated in my previous review the Jasmine is one of my favourite restaurants in the area and plenty of local friends also swear by it. When arranging a catch-up with a close friend, I suggested we visit here for a meal as there's great food, lovely service and ample nearby parking, making it easy to get to. I booked a table for half past six on a Monday night, and we turned up slightly early. This was no bother, we were seated straight away and selected our meals after a few minutes of deciding. Staff were attentive, friendly and chatty. In my opinion, some of the best meals are on the Chef's Recommendations so check that page out when you're browsing the menu! I selected the Lemon and Honey Chicken with a side of pilau rice, and my friend chose the Lamb Makhani with a garlic naan. Both meals arrived piping hot and delicious with generous portion sizing; the Jasmine's usual standard. We were satisfied with just the mains and the poppadom starters, so didn't go for coffees or dessert after, but the restaurant does offer these on a separate menu. My pal knows his curry houses and says the Jasmine's food was very impressive indeed! The bill was very reasonable - came to around £15 a head, and we added a tip too. Fab place to come if you're in the area.

Always loved the Jasmine - this is our go-to Indian restaurant and has been for around 20 years (and Mum remembers when it first opened over 30 years ago!). The family who run it are lovely and the food is consistently smashing. I made a booking for my dad's birthday (doubled up with Mother's Day for my mother and grandmother). We've not visited in person since the lockdown, so this was truly a special occasion! When we arrived, we were shown to one of the booths off to the side and given menus to peruse. The restaurant itself was quite quiet which was a surprise; there weren't many parties dining in (and we stayed for over 2 hours) given it was Mother's Day weekend but they were very busy with take-out. We all went for a variety of different meals and sides - the Chicken Tikka Tandoori, Aloo Gobi, Korma, Plain Naan, Golden Chicken Curry (one of the Jasmine's specials) and a Butter Chicken. Food was brought out beautifully presented and hot; everyone agreed that the food was up to the Jasmine's usual standard and the portions have remained very generous over the years! To wash this lovely grub down, our table ordered a bottle of water, two tonic waters and two Cobra beers. The bill at the end of the night was very reasonable at just under £70 - not many places that'll feed four adults for that! The restaurant hasn't had a re-decoration in quite some time; it looks exactly the same as it did 10 years ago, but it's still clean, bright, with some lovely attentions to detail - little branded hot serviettes, branded after-dinner chocolates, glass illustrated panels dividing the booths. Parking is good - there's a large free car park just around the corner by Tonic Day Spa, and if by chance that's full, you can easily find alternatives around the back of the High Street. Accessibility is something to note; there is a step up into the restaurant, and stairs up to the loo. The only downside I could mention is that you'll need to be patient; there were only two ladies on the waiting staff, and they were juggling take-out and in-house customers. Very polite and happy to give recommendations, but they were pretty rushed off their feet when we visited. If you want to see the dessert or coffee menu, or if you're in a rush and want the bill straight away, it's worth asking when someone arrives to take your plates. You might not be able to catch their eye too quickly after that! Looking forward to visiting again, it was a lovely night full of good food and company.

Called and booked New Year’s Eve on the off chance they could fit us in. They did. Lovely food and very filling. They Bagged up left over food for us and gave us extra popadoms. Also threw in some ice creams for the kids. Lovely friendly staff and very accommodating. Will definitely go again. Nice to be able to walk too from home. Thank you

The staff are great and very friendly. Had many chats with the staff including the chef. Atmosphere welcoming and frindly. Could not fault the food and over the years we have tried nearly every thing on the menu. All good.

Exceptional eat in restruant experience last Saturday night, lovely succulent food, good portions, wonderful service very kind and attentive, please use these types of business's, they deserve our patronage, the cost was very low for what we received, £75 (including service charge) for three of us, two courses and all our drinks including a large bottle of wine and beers, we had our fill £25 each person a bargain, treat yourself.

Visited last night, having done so for the last thirty years. Food was excellent as always. Was sorry to learn of the passing last weekend of 'The Boss', who was always in the background overseeing the family operation. R.I.P. you will be sadly missed!

After visiting recently, the jasmine was aunts choice for her (85th) birthday meal. First class attentive service again & the most delicious food of perfect portions. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good service staff were polite and helpful i am a diabetic and they advised me on food with the oil not in the meal provided and a chapati rarther than a nam bread so diabetics can be advised if you ask very pleased and would recommend them

Only order the same meal.....have done for over 25 years....sometimes great and sometimes not so great...will still always order as its habit and look forward to it.

Extremely watery bhuna that was spiced and flavoured like a supermarket curry. The cheese and garlic naan I had was a strange texture and felt to floury. Chips weren't great either, but I haven't came across a curry house that perfects these. Then it was more expensive than my go to curry house, yet my local curry house is in a different League

Had a great evening with good quality food. Always visit when I’m back in the area and I am always amazed at the food as it’s great. Waiter is brilliant at his job and is the ideal compliment to the food. Thank you for a great evening

It has been quite some time since we visited so we were happy to go and see what it was like now. Friendly greetings on arrival and lovely to see ladies on the waiting staff. The staff in fact were excellent so friendly and chatty and nothing was too much trouble.. The food.. well its still incredible and good value and lovely portion sizes. Popadoms, starters and mains for four of us together with drinks coming in at under £25 per head. This place has always had a loyal following of clientele and we will be one of them again from now on. Most enjoyable

Been a regular at the Jasmine for years, never had a bad meal from them. Staff are always friendly and polite, they even remember us and refer to us by name. Even though we moved away from Heath Hayes, we still order from the Jasmine because anywhere else just isn't up to scratch.

Lived in Bham for years, been to 100’s of Indians in my life. Jasmine Is right up there with the top 5 ever. Always fresh. Clean meat. Never too oily and the service in house is 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone within a few mile radius. ✅✅✅✅✅

Tbh, Not had a takeaway from the Jasmine for a while. But tonight we decided to have a go with being in lockdown didn't fancy cooking. So we called The Jasmine. Omg what a fabulous meal we had really enjoyed it. Reccomend these for future. Loved it. Thank you

We’ve been ordering from this restaurant for over 5 years now and the food is consistently flawless and fresh. We’ve been to many Indian restaurants and had other take aways at other people’s houses and this is the only one that I enjoy thoroughly. The service is always the best, just be prepared to wait around an hour for delivery as it’s so understandably popular!

Well choosing to have a take away from here from Mother’s Day was a big mistake. Firstly the prices have gone up, a lot. Fair enough it’s Mother’s Day and the fact that due to Coronavirus it’s take away only. We ordered our usual and collected. The order took an extremely long time but apologies were given. That’s fine, it’s a busy night. My husband got home and I set out the dinner, a Keema rice we ordered was missing with a pilau in place. We do not like pilau. Called back to be told one could be delivered in up to an hour or we could collect. The kids were hungry so we said we would wait for the rice. Then on opening a Peshwari naan it was a pile of broken cardboard bread with flakes of fruit in. Stone cold and rock hard. I rang back again. Apologies and told another would be ok it’s way. 40 mins later the driver turns up and asks me for £1.40 to which I ask why as it was missing. He didn’t ask for the other items back and carried on saying it was my fault for not ordering it. I explained it was ordered and he laughed, rolling his eyes saying “you order from us all the time and know it doesn’t come with keema rice”... well smarty... if we order all the time you will know we always have keema rice and not the pilau, never have done. To laugh and smirk was disgusting. I gave him the bag back and told him to take it back. After my son finished him meal he said my naun bread was keema, not cheese and keema. So it is clear to us now the mistake that was made of the writing down on the order. However the service was shocking. From my other reviews you will see that I have left positive reviews of this restaurant even though it has never been straight forward and some issue. However the food is always lovely. This is the last time we will be going here. Looking at other people’s reviews it seems to have gone down the pan! What a let down! And a very disappointing meal.

We used to come to this restaurant alot but our last visit wasnt the best. Staff rushed off there feet we had to wait for to be served a good while and waited even longer for drinks. The food was basic we are usually asked what it was like but due to the staff being rushed of their feet they never had time for that question. Got to be honest I was really disappointed with the whole thing and won't be going back. They were too busy to say goodbye but the bill arrived on our table like a flash.... So sad to say but the restaurant isn't what it used to be.

Had a take away for our birthday. There was some confusion regarding delivery as the delivery man came at the same time as my husband went to collect! But was no problem and the food was gorgeous as usual! Thank you

Waited for 30 mins for a prawn Balti and chicken and prawn biryani takaway . All I got was a two tubs of curry sauce a few cauliflower pieces couple of onion slices and that was it oh about three tiny prawns . What a waste of money . I won’t be going there again .£20 for two tubs of curry sauce , diabolical !!! 😡

We use to use this restaurant about 20 years ago, but stopped going because the pub next door did not sell real ale.

The food is always lovely here. But delivery takes ages and never comes on time. Well worth the wait though if you’re not in a rush!

This was a very poor experience. Often eat here but went tonight and they mixed our meals up, the meals were really watery and grim, we were fishing bits of what was like bamboo and bits of foil out of our food. The second we were done with our meal they threw the bill at us and walked off. Certainly wont be eating here again and will take my custom elsewhere. The reason for my 2 stars is because the food tasted alright but looks disgusting.

Had a lovely meal at the Jasmine, food was well cooked and delicious. If I am in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate going back.

The dinner was disgusting, we were told it would be marinated for days and would be succulent wrong it was dry as a bone, presented terrible and that was the lamb.

Went to jasmine for first time for 3 years since my card got copied here after being told by the police after paying for take aways over phone with card. All I can say is the food was awful the decor very dated and the salad my mother in law had didn't even have any tomatoes or cucumber the 2 basic ingredients of a salad.awful awful awful!!!

Best Indian restaurant for miles

this is by far mine and my families favourite restaurant, the food is AMAZING (the chicken saag is the best) the foods always fresh and the We eat in here and often get takeaways both to the same amazing standard. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!!!

We have been having deliveries from Jasmine on a regular basis over two years to date.. Always polite, friendly on the phone and our meals always get delivered either before or on quoted time slot. Chicken Tikka especially good. Never experienced the problems others seem to have with rudeness or delays. Don't think you will be disappointed if you give it a try.

We had a takeaway from here recently, and up until this time have always really enjoyed the food. The service and food were terrible and we shall never use them again.

Very nice place ,lovely food and friendly staff. The only thing I personally thought was it needs a more updated interior and paint. Modern lighting and posher chairs and tables etc but it's the food that counts and this one is very good.

Nos enormemente equivocado, esperamos más de una hora para la comida aunque vimos gente entrar y salir que entramos, pedimos la comida y a la izquierda antes de que ni siquiera habían traído los entrantes. El personal era grosero y dieron a la impresión de que no tenían tiempo para nosotros. Incluso cuando mi comida llegó fue decepcionante, me sentí como si no, incluso pagando por este nivel de servicio. Yo le daría. . Sin duda no volveremos.

It's very rare a company can provide such exquisite service, repeatedly. Yet this company makes an effort every time we visit, and it shows. it's always a pleasure and a delight, now as for the food by far the best Indian restaurant I have been to, by far.

Great food with an alcohol license and fantastic service, takeaway option with delivery is available but a lovely restaraunt to dine in.

please don't give these people your money I really used to rate their food, however its obvious someone has taken over who doesn't care all he wants to do is argue...good luck to anyone who wants to wait an hour and a half to be shouted out

My fiancé ordered a meal at just after 7.30 tonight; with a delivery time of an hour. After an hour he rang to see where our food was to be told it was 'just been packed up'. The person at the other end of the phone got very argumentative when my fiancé expressed his dissatisfaction at the huge amount of time that had passed between ordering and the food being delivered. The food finally turned up just before 8.55. By this point we are passed eating; and when my fiancé told the delivery person we wouldn't be paying full price for our food that took nearly 90 minutes to be delivered the delivery person then started to be argumentative. I have never come across such appalling customer service. We will NEVER use Jasmine again, despite never having a bad meal from them-granted the last time we ordered anything from them probably was about 18 months ago. It just goes to show you cannot rely on establishments being as good as they once were.

Food very very greasy. Waiter who claimed to be supervisor very rude & sarcastic! Shall take my custom elsewhere from now on. Shame as I have been using the jasmine for over 20 years!

very poor had delivery last week took 1hr 15mins meals cold and poperdoms greacy and soggy phoned up 28/01/2017 complained and said one more chances then they took my order and tried to over charge me by 3 pound i pointed this out and they said sorry ????? we have the same meal every week so should be the same price. it took 1hr 45mins and was cold again never again time to change curry house

Found out this evening while making my takeaway order over the phone that they write down your card details and then process your payment through the card machine after you have hung up. I placed my order then wanted to pay by card, I was then asked for my card details which I gave over the phone. At this point I realised I hadn't been told how much my order was so I asked. The staff member told me to wait as she worked it out. I asked how she just processed my payment if she didn't know how much it was? Then she told me she had wrote my card details down on paper. I thought they had been put straight into the card machine as it should be done. I was passed onto a male superviser who asked me if I wanted to cancel the order and pick it up instead and pay on arrival. I pointed out this would make no difference as you have already got my card details written down on paper. And the whole idea of a takeaway was so I didn't leave my house. This is against Payment Card Industry Directive on Security Standards. Card details should be kept private and should not be written down. I did not give permission for my personal details to be written down. I do not know that they will follow the requirements to safeguard my details and dispose of them accordingly. Ther supervisor told me he strongly suggests I cancel my card and get a new one. This indicates to me that my details on a peice of paper are not safe and are not going to be disposed of correctly, or why else would I have to cancel my card? I was told all ther customers pay this way, well I am sure they are not aware they are writing down ther bank card details. This is not good practise and I am sure others would not be happy either. Payments took over the phone should be processed while the customer is on the phone still.
