Not a bad pub,a bit pricey though but not much else round there

Just want to thank sue and maggie for helping me do my dads wake. The food and atmosphere was great(given it was a wake) we sang on the karaoke and danced away. I really want to thank you both, it was stress free and we all really enjoyed the day. Will 100% be booking again xx

The red lion is a former moors and Robson built in 1939, then a bass pub. A nice traditional street corner pub it sells a range of good priced beers and lagers, but no cask conditioned real ale, probably because it is not open every day. Friendly welcolming staff worth a visit. Check opening times.

This pub is such an entertainer, It has karaoke on Fri, Sat, sunday And lovely people that drop in, u will bump into someone you haven't seen in yrs, it is so friendly you will want to go back again They do a Pensioners day 3rd Tuesday of a mth which they sing dance eat, and some say, "it's the best part of thier life that day, so friendly we're treated like family" The landladies Maggie and sue, will do anything for you with no trouble at all, their aim is walk in, get served have chat and walk out happy with new friends it's that easy Bar staff are lovely too, nothing is a problem It's been a local to many people over the yrs and will continue to Only thing left to say is ...... Hospitality second to none.Helped our Association out after a late change of venue through unforseen circumstances.Which I would like to thank the Red Lion for.Was a little small for our large attendence but the service behind the bar was good and avoided queues which madw the difference.

What a fantastic day yesterday,so pleased to have been in with the Hull Independent Merchant Navy Association. Wonderful staff very pleased to have met them, Buffett nice loved the hot chicken wings. Everyone behind the bar worked very hard for us, my daughter Susan loved the place, and I hope we are going back.

Tired pub, that is in need of bringing upto date, but the area it is in does not have as decent a nightime economy as it use to. Fine if your in the area, but not a lot else to support it around.

Brilliant Sunday afternoon and evening, great karaoke, and friendly staff.

Great afternoon at the Red Lion. Warm friendly welcome from the landlord and landlady when we first arrived and a brilliant karaoke with mine host Dale and of course Baz, Chris, Mad Andy, Andy and Mark. All of the other regulars made us feel welcome too. Quality beer at low prices and free punch cocktail plus free food! What a fantastic afternoon. First time there but it won't be the last!

This was my first bike night and everyone was great good people to talk to . And the cup of tea is Yorkshire tea it does not get better then that.

Went in Sunday between 4/9pm good entertainment Great singer compere Dale Richards ex Ryder.place full good beer reasonably priced.

Went on Friday night reunion night and really enjoyed it

Saw in the paper that the landlady was struggling for customers so went down there on my day off work to find the pub closed, went to a nearby pub to find out it only opens certain days and times, no wonder the place is struggling for customers
