Lovely big plates of food! Brilliant service

Nice friendly pub , selection of beers on tap including real ale from Goucher's ,also does food which looks good but didn't try any , it's worth a visit . My wife and I have had Sunday lunches and meals at the Red Lion , lovely pub food well cooked and good sized portions .Hazel , Chris and all the staff are fantastic, I would definitely recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.. Had another great evening meal, and a few drinks, I can't recommend this pub enough, it's a lovely place . Still just as good , go and try it .

Lovely pub in the middle of the Kent countryside, quiet and secluded. Nice garden for when the weather allows. Food is wholesome, well cooked and plentiful, you can have a smaller serving at a reduced cost if you wish, which is a good idea for those with smaller appetites. Good selection on the menu, which tends to be classic pub fayre, but really well done. Will definitely return.

A lovely traditional pub, bar staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was of the highest standard and is very highly recommended. It was a real pleasure visiting this pub, and I look forward to my next visit.

Friends recommended this pub for lunch and we were not disappointed. The menu offered a great choice, plus there was a special board. We hate wasting food so we’re delighted to see that they offered small plates. We chose the steak and ale pie and still couldn’t eat it all. The table next to us had fish and chips and even the small plate was large. Delicious food and great value for money

Fantastic Sunday lunch with friends, great choice of roasts and homemade pies, and well cooked seasonal veg(roast potatoes, roast parsnips, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower. Extra gravy came as standard and lovely Yorkshires, stuffing and chipolata were good touches. Can't comment on the desserts, we were all too full but the Jack Rabbit Malbec was excellent.

Festive dinner with friends. Couldn't fault it, other than that the sticky toffee pudding could have been a little hotter. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Have been to the red lion in milstead a couple of time for a meal, and have to say I absolutely love it great food friendly service and a warm cosy atmosphere. What more could you ask for. 5 🌟

Lovely venue tucked away down a very series of lanes off the M20. Food and service exemplary. Well worth hunting out, we'll probably return when the weather improves to try the Sunday roast.

Just a goode olde English pub with goode olde English pub fare. There were two landladies amd they were great. The service was relatively quick and the food palatable. The portions are very generous, so if you leave hungry it is your own fault!

Very nice unpretentious country pub in the back of beyond. Good and very reasonable menu but I was there for an ale splash and dash. The Goachers beers were both in tip top condition. Pubs like this must survive.

Had buy one get one free burger but was a bit on the soggy side . Bacon and bun could both do with being a bit more crispy. Bun toasted and bacon crispy would have made the world of difference. Fries where great

We absolutely loved this place. Being from the US we spent a lot of time looking for the best fish and chips and we found it here. The sausage and mash along with the lemon meringue was amazing. To top it off we had the best service from Selena. She made the experience that much more. 100% recommend!

Great dog friendly pub. Nice local atmosphere, good value tasty meals - we had a mushroom and stilton wellington which was lovely. Staff were friendlt, attentive, and smiling. They even bought out a mat for our dog to be comfortable on.

Very good pub food, large portions did defeat me, or was I really just leaving space for what was an excellent desert? It is many years since I last visited this pub and I am glad I did. I was part of a large group that tried many of the dishes on offer. Hot, fresh, good ingredients.

I booked a table at this fine establishment having enjoyed the hospitality there before. Our group of 11 were celebrating my father's 98th birthday and no-one left feeling disappointed...or hungry! Great food, well kept ale and lovely staff. Perfect.

We've been to this pub many times for a Sunday Roast and it's always good quality, quantity and price. The pies are tasty and filling and the roast meats are just as good. If you can fit anymore food in then you are spoilt for choice on the dessert menu, it caters for all tastes. It's worth booking ahead for a Sunday as they can get busy. If you get a seat in the bar area then you can enjoy the cosy fire. Completely dog friendly in and out, and they are made to feel welcome too.

Can't fault the Red Lion. Have a good choice of menu at a reasonable price. Makes a lovely country walk with a nice garden. Need to have a big appetite to finish what's on your plate. One dish is plenty for two! Staff are all very friendly.

The food is cooked lovely and the staff are always friendly welcoming and dog friendly aswell which is great. The Red Lion pub is worth the visit and it down a nice country road so relaxing and peaceful.

Update - I love this pub we have been back many times since the reviews below. We have had many tasty meals and drinks here and highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area and appreciates good food and hospitality. We stopped off here for a drink whilst out on a countryside walk. The staff were friendly and all the covid safety measures were in place. We sat out in their garden and enjoyed the summer sun and a beer whilst watching the tractor at work in the fields opposite. We returned to the pub after a bike ride in the autumn and ate in the restaurant. The food was amazing which is why I decided to upgrade the star rating to five and update this review. The lady (Hazel) who served us was really nice and the food portion size was very generous and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very cosy and relaxing and we all enjoyed our afternoon. We hope to return again sometime soon.

If you’re looking for a a lovely peaceful pub lunch you should go to Red Lion in Milsted 👌. Went there yesterday with my husband for lunch for the 1st time, wow!! The food was so delicious, and very good value for money. Drinks nice & cold. Great atmosphere, bathrooms and venue were clean. Staff friendly and helpful. All round great atmosphere, ambiance and decor. Lovely well maintained garden too 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Was a lovely experience all round 👍. Was recommended by a friend and now we’ll highly recommend it to you all 😁😉

My favourite pub in the Sittingbourne area. It is a country pub (so choose your designated driver). Good beer and great food.

Went to the red lion on the evening of 23rd July. This is rural public house and restaurant, which is an absolute gem. The food was better than amazing as well - and the portion sizes are epic to say the least (I nearly thought I would have to be carried out after 3 courses). Starter was a pate that came with toast, salad and red onion chutney - when it arrived a thought it was a sharing starter 🤩 nope it was all for me! Main course was chunky chips, cod and peas (it was huge) the fish was cooked to perfection - crispy batter with a soft moist cod inside. To finish the night off I had a sticky toffee pudding 😝. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family - with a family member already booking a table. We will be back that is for sure. Staff were extremely friendly and the service was great 5 out 5
