Always made welcome by staff especially Nikki C who works so hard serving meals and behind the bar / we have been in several times since reopen have not had a meal yet will be coming in for food soon meals are always great.

We were worried about our visit due to the Covid virus and social distancing but all was great,The team were fantastic the host went through all the new rules and social distancing was carried out by everyone we seen,inside and out,all our food and drinks were perfect thanks red lion keep up the great work .

Absolutely terrible service off the male staff made me feel I was in the wrong at the age of 51 when asked questions, also I have drank in this pub over the years and I have never seen it so quite, is this due to the quality of staff as when at the bar I looked the member of staff to get served and he was rude, to be honest I will not be in a hurry to go back, I would rather go to an off licence than drink in there

Good food choices. Hot. Good welcoming staff and a fine array of liquid refreshments. Well priced. Good location. Good decor. Nice place to visit.

Hard to decide what to put here. We went in for a snack lunch of the hot drink & dessert type. The drinks were served promptly, after around 20 minutes I went to the bar to complain that the desserts were taking a while, but while I was waiting for the guy behind the till to finish serving our food came out of the kitchen, so I didn't actulaly complain. Then while we were eating the server came and refunded us for the food- still without me complaining. So overall the service was poor, but clearly the recognised that without being told and they rectified it too. The food itself was lovely

Took my doggies for a walk and decided to stop for a drink and lunch... OMG! .. the staff had obviously hadnt been and cleaned anything outside from the Friday night , this was at 2pm the next day!!!... cigarette ash and buts everwhere.. empty glasses and litter.. Totally shocked that management are not on top of this...

A nice friendly place to visit with friends for a quiet drink & reasonable meal, especially at lunch time. Staff & surroundings fine, though a bit old fashioned in some respects. The car park charges, which is a bit rough considering, though the price is taken from the bill. Worth a visit!

when here as it was my daughters birthday and her in-laws were in hospital near by, went for lunch, as very nice service was good didn't have to wait long for the meals, well worth a try.

Visited here with a small group of friends for dinner. Meal choice was pretty good. Had a few good deals on. Food is pretty basic, and prices very affordable. Great if you're looking for a cheap pub meal. We ordered a bottle of prosecco, but that wasn't very nice. The waiter was pleasant, but the same can't be said for the man serving behind the bar

Can't review anything here as we never got to order anything.My 32year old daughter and myself never got passed the bar,some young guy asked my daughter for ID she said she is 32 and why does she need ID.You don't apparently need to be 18 anymore you have to look over 25.We left don't need to be insulted.Rediculess rules.Went to the Rose and Crown up the road and had a meal with drinks no problem.
