Great atmosphere and welcoming hosts. A true English Wet pub. Deserving of its great reputation!

Really nice, 'proper' drinkers' pub well frequented by locals (not taken over by food). Friendly, cosy, with a nice atmosphere and good beer. Nice garden with plenty of picnic table seating and a simple covered area. Feels like sitting in someone's pleasant back garden.

Smashing little pub outside of Banbury. They don't do food but the hospitality makes up for it.

A most pleasant English country pub with cold beer, great service and a pretty garden below towering trees. And a corner for "Grumpy Men", should you have one in your company.....

Excellent pub, serving superb ales and lagers. Great traditional pub snacks too, all the old favourites. After a few fine ales they delighted the palate. Should have taken more photo's to capture the ambiance.

Proper, proper pub. Hosts Dave & Tash Will welcome you, your muddy boots (left at the door!), and your four legged friend as long as you are on a lead. Real fires, great banter, sublime and eclectic music, CAMRA 2017 award winning pub selling local and unusual beers, gins you’ve never heard of, car park, beer garden, multi screens on a sports night, grumpy corner and covered smoking area with lighting that makes you question your sobriety. If you turn up hungry, you’ll leave that way. It’s a drinking pub and all the better for it. There is no such thing as a bad pint here.

Best public house around. Great atmosphere, but no food available which is exactly what is required of a well run drinking pub. Long may it continue.
