Lovely fish bar that had everything I wanted. Although I wish they accepted card. However all the food was really nice and the workers were very nice as well and so were the other customers there.

Made a multiple order between friends. Large order. Most of the order was incorrect. How you get mixed kebab wrong to just doner kebab, or doner kebab instead of chicken kebab meat is beyond me. well overpriced. Won't be using again!

Our residents from a supported living service get their fish and chips from here every Friday evening They tell me they're delicious!

IMHO this is where you go to get the best fish and chips, or chip shop food in Banbury, the food is always piping hot, and delicious.. As I said this is my opinion

We had previously had fish and chips from elsewhere for a 50 person event but that place was not available. At late notice, we rocked up at A & C Fish bar and spoke with manager Ria who was confident that she could meet our needs and delighted to take our order. We arrived the next day to 3 huge boxes of superb food, all packaged, labelled and ready - and we had not even paid a deposit, which shows trust from a small business. Fish - flaky fish, nice batter and not oily (hurray). Chips - fabulous flavour, not oily and ENORMOUS portions. (But I managed mine, I'm not stupid). Chicken - Southern Fried Chicken was well flavoured and not greasy. Everything else was wonderful but I didn't taste it, so I won't comment. If I lived closer, this would be my local chippy. Strongly recommended and thanks to the team there - the queue was out the door and having tasted it, I'm not surprised at all.

Had quite a few fish & chip dinners from here over last few months. Not once have we had a below standard meal. Staff always polite & friendly.

perfect! i have had fish and chips in some of the finest restaurants all over the country and this is still my fave. the batter is crisp but not greasy, and the chips r perfect chip-shop-chips!

Loads of chips and huge portions of fish. The sausages are cooked perfectly and the pies are filled to the brim with meat. Very friendly staff too and good for price. Thoroughly recommend

Parking is a bit of a nitemare, very busy road, although our fish n chip supper was super.

If you want Fish and Chips to take home go here and you will get the largest cod and chips in the UK, they also do pies sausages. I came especially over from New York to get these Fish and Chips. The staff are friendly with a great sense of humour. I will be back.

I travel past four or five chippies to go to A&C. Lovely food, good range and polite service to old fashioned standards. Can't fault them.

The worst lunch box ever!! The fish was grey with soggy batter. The chips were floppy and as for the mushy peas, i cannot believe how bad they were, they looked like they had green artificial colouring added to them. Inedible to say the least, apart from the sausage, which was ok. just ok. Bad, Bad, Bad and highly unlikely that we will use this place again. The staff are always friendly and you can see they all work hard. No stars for the food at all.

By far the best and most consistently good fish and chip shop in Banbury and the surrounding area. Dramatically better than the increasingly poor shop in Shipston and still significantly better than the recently improved shop in Wellesbourne (although their chips are rather good). A&C's fish is a work of art. Completely brilliant. Please, never change. Well worth driving to.

This is my local Fish & Chip shop. I have never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good. I have been visiting since I moved to the area 22 years ago. Today I was first in the queue ready for them to open the door. I ordered the Cod & Chips which was £9 (I think that's very good value compared to other Take - Away Restaurants) Both the Cod & the Chips were freshly cooked and tasted delicious. There were 2 staff in the shop that day, both were very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend this Fish & Chip shop, and I will definitely be coming back for more in the future. I have awarded this Fish & Chip shop 5 Stars!

I've been here several times over the last 5 years & I can only say it's 'consitantly excellent!' much to my surprise. It sets the standard for most of the rest to aim for. I'm a bit of a fish & chip shop coniser & rate it as good, all round, as the best I know of. On top of that their prices are often a bit lower. What's to find fault with? Sometimes it's a bit difficult to park outside LOL.

First time I've used them as I'm new to the area and live a fair way out. Was not disappointed. Small cod and chips was more than enough ( I had Savaloy as well😬) and proper curry sauce. Ate half in a layby the rest of the cod still warm enough by the time I got home, refried chips for breakfast tomorrow as I'm stuffed. Spot on fresh and hot and plenty of it👍👍

Had fish and chips from there yesterday 10th December and they were tasty I only asked for a mini fish with my chips, but even so there was a good amount of fish meat in the batter, which was crisp and light, I wasn't disappointed I ate every bit, as I normally leave the batter.

Just having a weekend Jolly in Avon Dassett and nipped in to AC’s for a chippy tea. The best Haddock and Chips with mushy peas ever. Considering Banbury is about as far as you’ll get from the Sea in England, the Fish was top drawer. We’ll be back from Crewe👍

I don’t often eat traditional fish & chips....but I’m now a convert, the fish was tasty and flakey beautifully cooked the batter crispy and light. The chips were plentiful, probably too many, next time I think we’ll share a portion of chips .

I wish i could add a picture. Keep giving them chance after chance but tonight final straw. A cold chicken & mushroom pie, that was all watery in the centre as though microwaved from frozen & a piece of SF chicken that looked like it had been hanging about since 1983 & was more bone than meat. Sorry after a lifetime of being a loyal customer I'm done.
