Great Customer Service, extremely friendly staff, and food is amazing.

Always good food, they don't keep much in the hot counter so it ends up being cooked fresh and piping hot! My favourite is the double cheeseburger and the chips are amazing. My wife always has the cod and loves it.

Called in the fish and chips Saturday lunchtime, one of the party ordered double cheeseburger 🍔, Patti's cooked fresh on grill, supplied by local butchers, nephew said was very good, Juicy... Good fish and chips.

Owner was very nice and cooked all the food infront of us and always worth a detour to go there very good burgers and fish and chips even the small fish and chips was a big portion very very good I really recommend

omg £10:50 for small fish and chips and the fish smelled all old and chessy throwed it in bin Not going to make my children sick from feeding them old out of date piece of fish... I do not recommend as other fish and chip shops sell for less and better quality I've work in professional kitchens for 20+ this fish and chip shop was Disgusting

We ordered a pizza for takeaway delivery on Christmas Eve. The pizza arrived completely cremated and they had just thrown fresh ham on top of it. By the time it arrived they had closed so I was then unable to ring and complain and receive a fresh pizza. I’ve posted a picture below for you to see the quality of the pizza they sent out. I will not be ordering from there again.

I rang up and placed a order to collect , I ordered a cheese burger and chips , I was asked what sauce I wanted on the burger so I asked for mayo on the bottom bun and tomato on the top bun , they was very rude and refused to give me what I asked for saying do we look like a restaurant I was left very shocked , is it really that hard or complicated.. I would never go to this place ever again terrible service.. Young lad very nice and polite maybe they should let him take care of customers

Asked for a large sausage and large chips and cheese and a small sausage and small chips and cheese,once we had been served our food we went back as the sausage was small which only comes one size!!! (Should have told us that when ordering!!) and no cheese so had to go back again and was then charged and extra £3.00 for a sprinkle of cheese on both!! Not good service and would never go back!! You need to listen to what your customers want instead of just doing what you want!!! Chips weren’t great but sausage was good!! Great shame!!! Not sure how you work that out as there’s 5** reviews on my profile!!! If you can’t supply a good service then that’s your fault!! Take criticism so you can provide a better service instead of being rude!!!

Looks like a trendy fish and chip shop and thought I would give it a go. I walked in and ordered at the counter only to be told they only take cash or you have to order and pay on line. Weird. But was willing to give it a go. While the chips were good, unfortunately the fish (cod) was average at best. It wasn’t worth the detour nor the odd pay by ordering on line while standing talking to the cashier. Wont be going again.

This used to our favourite place to get a pizza last 2 times we ordered the quality was very disappointing. We ordered a burger pizza and it came some pizza with some lamb meat some gherkins and a weird smell I called the send a free pizza on the next order. A few days ago we ordered again and the same really low quality pizza was delivered a burger pizza smelling so much of lamb meat some gherkins again but this time I toughy not gonna call again they surely have someone that controlls the quality of what comes out.

£ 25.40 for two Large Cod & Chips I personally think that's a bit of a rip off, Smarts chippy in garden city cost a lot less

The shop front looked incredibly clean and owners and the workers were all incredibly chatty and nice to be around. Portion sizes were perfect and for the price couldn't have asked for more. Lovely people, very clean and tidy shop. Food itself was brilliant. Chips were lovely and fish was great too. Overall a great experience, great food at a great price. Highly recommend :))

Superb quality fish & chips, lovely clean well presented premises and incredibly helpful staff. These guys went out of their way to make some special sausages just for my daughter with special needs, which was really kind of them. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

10/10 honestly such a lovely fish and chips. We usually get ours from a different local and had recently been disappointed but this place is SO much better!! Amazing delivery, packaging is great and the fish and chips is delicious and battered well. We will definitely be buying again from here. The price is also reasonable

I've been getting food from Off the Hook for seven years now and everything's delicious. Sometimes we do takeaway, sometimes delivery. I love the beef burgers, chicken burger, veggie burger, fish and chips, fish cakes and the new gyros are incredible! My partner's favourite is the Greek pizza. (But he hasn't tried a gyro yet.) It's locally-owned, which is also great.

Paid £12.40 for a fish & chips and asked them to put some garlic mayo on my fish. They asked for an extra payment so just got fish and chips with nothing on it. Never came across with a fish and chips shop that gives you no sauce?! Food is good but I won’t bother to come back as the service was bad.

Come here every few months for the last few years but not going to go back. Good sausage but the chips have become very disappointing. Are they cooked fresh or are they a good quality potato?

I was the last order and they made the effort to make all my food fresh. They had run out of one of my items and to make it right, they gave me a whole lot of freebies without having to ask. Consistently good and always friendly guys.

I have used off the hook many times and apart from 2 occasions where the delivery driver decided to put cold drinks in the same bag as hot food leaving it luke warm the food has always been very good. The service however is unreliable and the staff attitude is disgusting! The first time I ordered for delivery it was 45 mins early. I told the delivery driver he had the delivery time wrong and I was still waiting for my daughters to return and he announced he would wait the whole 45 mins on my doorstep with the food!! I'm pretty certain it would've been stone cold by then but he looked confused when I pointed that out and proceeded to wait in his car. I had to call the restaurant and ask them to kindly remake it and send at correct time which they did reluctantly. The next 2 occasions it was also over half an hour early and on the third occasion when I called I was hung up on and told "I'm too busy to care" I instantly called back and asked to speak to the manager. The same guy answered...announced he was the manager and that to word for word quote "the person who was rude on the phone is an idiot and has been sacked" he even delivered it himself to again tell me the person had been sacked?!?! I've left many reviews for this place on just eat. Some negative, some positive as after that incident it stopped arriving early. I ordered last week and had a phone call. Again word for word "you keep leaving negative reviews and we don't like that" ?!?!? My response...if you dislike bad reviews then try treating your customers with respect!! Appalling!!

Great fish and chips! We live in Scarborough so great fish and chips is a Friday staple. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish. The portion was generous. The large chips would serve two easily. We also had a Greek pizza which was delicious. A great find for take away tea!

change of plan meant a takeaway meal needed so a local contractor suggested off the hook as he'd had fish & chips the day before & his mate had pizza. both were excellent apparently, so we had the same. i have to agree as we were delighted with both the quick service & the food itself. premises were spotlessly clean too so can't fault the place!

Had food poisoning for 3 days the worst I’ve ever felt in my life over priced as well Im not the only person who’s had something dodgey from here in the last month! Would stay well away

Lovely crispy batter and fresh fish. Nice service and they threw in a delightful homemade victoria sponge cake for free which really made the experience too notch !!!
