Have eaten here often in the last few months Well priced, consistent and good quality food You can bring your own booze Excellent and not overbearing service Small and very casual place… just a few tables, and this atmosphere may not be to everyone’s taste Evidently a thriving takeaway business alongside Personally, I think in 2024 this has been one of the best places to eat in Penzance Especially as we enjoy the more relaxed and casual dining feel you get here

We had a takeaway and it was one of the best we've had here in Penzance. Paneer tikka masala was amazing. It will become our go-to place, I think!

As the husband needed Indian food. We went to red chillie and what a delight it was. A small cosy little place where the food was truly really yummy. The food was cooked with care and honestly we just ate, so if in Penzance go and eat there. Good food good service. ☺️

worst indian i’ve ever eaten, chicken was pink, rice tasted like soapy dish water, curry tasted like it was out of a jar, best thing about the meal was the can of coke to wash the taste out my mouth

OH..... MY..... GOD. I've eaten Indian food all over the world, including India, but that was quite literally THE BEST Indian takeaway meal I've ever had. The garlic chilli chicken tawa was full of flavour, loaded with onions, peppers, garlic and spiced to perfection. The texture of the sauce was not too thick and not too thin - just right. The chicken was juicy and plentiful. The 3 onion bhaji were hot, crispy and moist but not greasy. The onion fried rice was flavourful but not too salty and overpowering. Even the free papadam remained crispy until the last bite and it wasn't too salty either. I simply cannot fault anything about this restaurant. I'm glad that I gave a 25% tip when I ordered the food because that was absolute perfection! My only criticism is that Trip Advisor doesn't allow me to give more stars. Forget the other Indian takeaways in Penzance. This is the one!

Visited this restaurant last Friday with my closest friends. What a fantastic meal! Of the 10 that came, 4 have said it’s the best Indian food they have tasted. It was simply exceptional. Add in friendly and fun service, it made for a great night. Thanks Red Chilli- we will be back!!!!

Ordered a takeaway. Total cost £53. The chicken tikka and sheek were a generous portion but very dry. The onion bharji was excellent. But what was unforgivable was that I ordered a king prawn starter which was fine and a king prawn dhansak. I only ever eat king prawn in Indian restaurants. The dhansak was just ordinary prawns like you get in a chinese restaurant, and a pretty miserable portion at that. When I rang to query this, they tried to argue that today's delivery was smaller than usual king prawns. Even when I pointed out that the starter was correct and was king prawn thet continued to argue that they really were king prawnsl. King prawns are actually Languistines and are quite different from prawns. The photo shows that they are prawns

We stumbled upon this little gem one Monday evening and decided to pop in. So glad that we did, the food was amazing and the the portions so generous that even my husband couldn't finish it all. The food was tasty, not too spicy and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It's a bring your own alcohol place but we were happy to have just water which was free 😉

I have been having take away from this restaurant for months now and I'm not afraid of trying something new so have been through most of the menu and must say I have been flabbergasted at how they can make each meal so unique. I have eaten Currys all over the country and haven't ever had such a flavour experience in every single meal I have had from these wonderful chefs.such clean and wonderful flavours and ingredients. I feel so lucky to have this restaurant in delivery distance and look forward to having more and more. Reasonably priced for such quality. Thank you all at Red chilli Penzance x

Best Indian takeaway in PZ and they deliver! Sag Paneer is an absolute winner, veg dishes are stellar and the meat dishes are very fresh (eg not just meat option thrown in after cooking!)…

Ordered 2 curries, etc for my son, who was visiting from Portsmouth, and I. Lamb Madras and Chilli Garlic Chicken Tawa. The best curries I've eaten in a very long time. My son (a big curry fan) said there's none better in the city of Portsmouth. Rice and sides also excellent. I'll be back, and recommending Red Hot Chilli to friends. What a find!

We ate in, and the service and food were impeccable. Lovely, friendly waiting staff, freshly cooked, delicious food, and prompt service. Lamb just melted in the mouth, and each dish had its own unique flavour. Our friends said it was their best Indian for a very long time. Best Indian in town and we've visited them all!

Quite pricy for takeaway food that was under spiced and under seasoned with no real zing. Pleasant server meal was ready on time.

Delicious and Spot on. Lamb Bhuna, chapati, Keema Naan, Poppadums and bhajis. I don't have indian often, as much as I enjoy it as I am a little sensitive, but this was the best I have had in YEARS. Cooked perfectly and tasting wonderful, the bhaji's were not too floury and the breads light and tasty too.Plenty of meat in the curry whcih is often not the case elsewhere. A little expensive maybe, but I think that is the same across the board in the current climate and more to the point, it was worth it!!!!

As someone who enjoys Indian cuisine, this restaurant/takeaway never fails me! Food is fantastic with a brilliant selection on the menu, with more items being added since they opened a few months ago. I like spice in my food and the chef never fails to make sure with special requests that the food is top quality. The starters are incredible and the onion bhajis are so yummy! Definitely recommend the Tandoori clay oven dishes or Tawa dishes if you’re looking to try something new. Delivery is fast and reliable, the delivery drivers are great with contact too if they can’t find you!

We did book as we were told it get's busy. The reason for that is because the whole experience is great. From the time you walk in until the time you walk out is a joy. The waiters are friendly, and eager to please, the food is amazing with quick service too. I did think the service would be slow with people walking in for takeaways, but I didn't have to worry. I will be back in March. Thank you.

We ordered two each papadams(sp?), two onion bajiis(sp?) and we each order chicken tikka masala. After eating the papadams we were served to our surprise, three each onion bajiis instead of the one each that we expected. After eating those which were too filling I was no longer really that hungry, but then the chicken tikkas were served. My chicken was so over cooked it was like cutting rubber but the sauce was tasty. I also have to say that the sauces served with the papadams were some of the best I have ever had in an Indian restaurant although the owner and servers were from Bangladesh. So, some good and some bad, consequently the average rating
