Order at your own risk! It is listed as an Indian restaurant, while it is not.!! We ordered a garlic chilli paneer take away (listed as starter) and what we got was a white gravy with some paneer cubes and tomatoes in it. Without any salt / spice / chilli. If you're listed as an Indian restaurant, the least you can do is Google / YouTube the recipe and try to replicate it! This is the only dish we tried, so I'm not sure how Indian the other dishes are! Post Reply comment - We tried a take away dish to decide if we can get back to your restaurant for Dinner! And I'm glad we did not spend a penny more than what we did. By posting a rude reply, you've shown your courtesy to a customer's experience, which speaks a lot about your service.

My indian friends recommended this place and they were right! Maybe the best Indian restaurant in Penzance . Food and service are top class. Portions are good size and be wary of vindaloo!

Helpful and attentive waiters. Showed me all the dishes they could make vegan and which dishes were already vegan. Great service and food was excellent! Good pricing.

I have tried only one dish and one item so I'm not sure of the other dishes.

Best curry I've had in a long time! Lamb was outstanding & so was the tarka daal. Great work chef!

Thought I'd try a take away , went for the mixed biriyani , the lamb was so chewy I couldn't eat it and the 1 king prawn was chewy and white , the veg curry was so runny it was tasteless , which I hadn't bothered now and saved my £12.95 !My curry was swimming in grease also , worst curry I've ever had !!

Our regular Indian takeaway wasn’t open, so we tried Red Chilli. This is definitely going to be our new regular. It was the best Dansak I’ve had and the onion bhaji were amazing too, and massive. All four of us said that we preferred our meals to what we normally have from our old regular. Thanks Red Chilli, we will be back for sure 👍

Excellent food. The best sag paneer we've ever had. The main curries were slightly less spicy than I've had elsewhere. Friendly staff. No alcohol served but you can bring a bottle in.

We had chicken chum chum, tikka masala and naga masala plus starters and sides. It all tasted very good and the portion sizes were large. The only slight downside was the sauces were a little thin but don’t let that put you off. I was greeted by a delivery driver, paid a girl who I assume was the normal waiting staff but then she disappeared into the kitchen leaving me stood with the delivery guy. He left and another delivery driver appeared, it was her that handed me the food after a time so I had no real contact with staff and was left isolated in the dining area. But I was looking for a meal not a conversation so I will likely return.

A Few years ago this place did not have a great reputation but today it’s got to be one of my favourite Indians in Penzance and it’s on my doorstep (which could be a problem 😆) all dishes are so tasty, service is fab, waitresses helpful with menu choice and prices are as good as they get….Well done Red Chilli keep doing what you do 👌💯

Visited the restaurant this evening.. I wasn’t hungry much but my husband was keen to have some Indian curries.. but we left just after 5 minutes as the restaurant has the most stupidest policy of having a main dish per customer.. I didn’t understand how they can decide about the food portion that their customer must order.. so, instead of making money from this stupid policy they are losing customer as we weren’t the only one who left cz of this we saw few more left after ordering food then being insisted of ordering main dish per person.. 🤯

Amazing food, amazing service and really nice, we actually arrived quite late but the food came very quickly, tasted very nice, I definitely recommend Chicken Jal Ferzi. Overall it was amazing.

Very small space for sitting arrangement, you may feel claustrophobic. They will literally cut your pocket. Try to avoid this restaurant.

Went there with my family. Very bad experience.The lady of the front desk was rude. I ordered one main dish, they gave me wrong dish unfortunately. Don’t fall in their trap.

I would have rated this restaurant 0 out of 5 if I had the option. They have a useless policy that you need to order a main meal per person. When we said that that would be too much food for us, they said that we could try by combining a starter with it. So we ordered a starter and main meal. To our astonishment, instead of the starter they ended up modifying it and making it a main meal and then charged us for that. There was no way to realize it until you got the bill. Highly disappointing how dodgy they can be. Literally cheated us intentionally. If they would have been clear about it we could have just walked away. Even the food quality and sitting arrangement is not that great. Such a waste of time and money. Very disappointed PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

Since opening, Red Chilli has been our go-to restaurant. We love Bengali & Indian food and despite only being a small restaurant and takeaway, Red Chilli is amazing. The food is always cooked perfectly - the meat is always tender; the sauces are full of flavour; the poppadoms are always fresh and crispy; the veg curries are tasty and just as good as the meat dishes and our friends and family have all said it's their favourite restaurant too. Red Chilli is the best value for money in the whole of the area - you get both good quality food at the best price. They also offer deliveries and they always arrive on time. There are always people sat in the restaurant and even just walking by, the food smells amazing too! We have sat in for food and the service was really quick which was ideal as some of our party turned up unexpected but they were still able to order their food and finish after we had started ours. The waiting staff were all very friendly, helpful and also quick to get orders through. We have always had wonderful experiences with Red Chilli and always look forward to our takeaways now. We were gutted when Panch Puran closed last year but people who own Red Chilli have gone above and beyond to make their restaurant the best in the area in such a short space of time. They've made the best use of the space they have and it's always cosy and welcoming.

Booked a table but when we got there (10 minutes early) we were told it was double booked. Said they tried to call but they didn’t. The restaurant is like a front room. About 4 tables. Very cramped. Looks like they just gave our table away, the girl on front desk was very embarrassed. We didn’t bother to argue but that is no way to treat visitors. I know that my local Indian restaurants would not treat people like that. Their food may be good, never got to try it, but one thing for sure their attitude is terrible!

Spontaneous booked red chili before watching our son's play.! Probably one of the best Indian I've had, and really friendly staff. I usually don't do reviews, but this is a must if your in the area.. Good luck red chili and will be back soon.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat in or takeaway, just had a custom spicy butter chicken which was the best curry I've had in recent memory. They did forget a bread from the order though but more than happy to let it slide given the quality of the food and speed of delivery. Best Indian in Penzance

Great food delivered to St Buryan this evening. Onion bahji, Chilli & garlic chicken Tawa. Onion Rice and onion Naan. Nice pieces of chicken and and lots of veg. Nice and hot 🌶. I obviously am a fan of heat, Onions and garlic. All cooked really well. It was delicious I can highly recommend. 😋

Yo..eaten there twice now,didn't disappoint either time. Had a takeaway which arrived promptly and tasted amazing. Second time,ate in the restaurant before catching a film in the cinema next door..can't fault it. Friendly host/staff and nothing seems 2b too much trouble, would highly recommend..

It’s really hard to get anyone to deliver out where I live so for that I’m grateful, the fact that the lady who answered the phone and the guy who dropped off my food were so lovely and polite is an added bonus. Plus the food I ordered was absolutely tastebusting gorgeous definitely recommend to everyone

Absolutely awful experience at this Indian takeaway. I stayed in Penzance for a few days with my girlfriend and our dog. We decided on the first night to have an Indian, and Panch Puran was the only available restaurant for takeaway. We had three Kormas, rice, chips and some naan breads. The curries were absolutely disgusting. When we put them on the plate, they separated into paste and water. The vegetable rice was disgusting. The naan breads has no flavour. And lastly, we paid so much for a portion of “chips”, there wasn’t even enough for one person, and were FRIES. Would NOT recommend this awful place.

Ordered through Just Eat App. It was delivered piping hot, obviously just cooked. We ordered our favourite Chicken Dahnsak, this was the first time we tried this restaurant and we are so glad we did. Our meal was absolutely delicious! We use again.

Disappointing to say the least. We had a selection of starters, mains, a side and rice and breads. Didn't deliver on flavour, curries just full of undercooked chunks of onion and garlic, lamb was tough, I also asked for extra cheese in my naan but I was struggling to find any at all maybe they missed it completely. Hopefully, taken by the restaurant as constructive feedback.

We ordered a takeaway for delivery from here to the Caravan park we are staying at on holiday. We rung and asked for a batli but on the 4/5 hot scale! As my partner likes it but its never hot enough, the gentleman on the phone was so accomodating and said no problem. The food was delivered bang on time and it was absolutely gorgeous!! Best curry we've had in Cornwall. He also wrote on the batli exactly what we asked for which made us laugh and we thought it was really personal. 5/5, 100% recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After previously being disappointed a couple of times by the more established/well known Indian takeaways in Penzance, a few weeks ago I decided to try Panch Puran after a recommendation from a friend. It was incredible. Then last night, I decided to see if it was just a one off success and see if they were consistent with their quality of cooking. It was the same quality, if not better. The texture, flavour and freshness was on point and the price was good value as well.. I've finally found a decent curry house near me. Happy days.

For anyone who is vegan or vegetarian, the vegetable curries here are great! Comes with a variety of veggies - I counted at least five, and the curries are very distinctive in flavour. You can tell the chef cares about making more than just generic curry. Also the lemon and ginger rice was a revelation!

By far my favourite Indian takeaway, we order from here regularly and it is always amazing. I've tried most of the ones in Penzance and now won't ever go elsewhere! The staff are so kind and willing to help as well, thoroughly recommend.
