Red Chilli in Cardiff

Really disappointing. Have used RC for a long time and never had an issue with delivery. Was repeatedly told the order was in its way only for it to turn up an hour after the scheduled time. No reason was given nor a refund offered. Won’t be returning for food again.

food was cold on delivery. I had to warm everything in the microwave after being delivered. I Rang the restaurant and was told several times that driver was on the way. food was delivered 50 minutes late and cold. I do occasionally order Indian food but I will not be selecting the Red Chilli next time.

DRIVER RANG WHEN HE HAD TROUBLE FINDING ME BUT WE SORTED IT OUT VERY QUICKLY. FOOD WAS STILL HOT AND PLENTIFUL AND VERY NICE. WOULD HAVE LIKED THE SAUCE A LITTLE THICKER THOUGH

Not much lamb In bhoona but was tasty chicken tikka masala was good

I always order from here the food is always fresh and tasty but my last order the chef's recommendation ( which i have had several times )was awful i could not eat it so it went in the bin also the poratha wasn't fresh.

Overall good email, however ordered 1 lamb and 1 chicken dish, received 2 chicken dishes which was a bit disappointing.

Nice food - not too greasy. Bhaji came with over £20. Salad - not great.All in all - average hence 3 stars. When I have eaten in there it was amazing food.

Expected upto 45mins for delivery came in 30mins , fresh and hot , quality of food top notch

Advertised a free onion bhaji on orders over £20... spent £32 and no onion bhaji.. not even a complimentary poppadom!!! Food was Bland, watery and chewy meat, not that hot in temperature and too expensive. Waste of money

My order was thrown on the grass and food tipped as the delivery man was chasing his car on a hill so threw my food on the floor which lead to it being all over the place..I my door knocked I went to the door and no one was to be seen I walked around the corner my food was on the grass upside down and the man was in his car which was rolling down hill ! I took my food into the house and the furry was spilled open over the bad and some other items was tipped upside on my next door neighbours xxxx

Today was our first visit.(and first of many) The food was outstanding, so was the service. The waiter was exceptional from start to finish. Highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was amazing, i had the chicken tikka masala with poppadoms, The portions were so generous. Portion lf rice was huge! Like a mountain on my plate, plenty of chicken too!, sauce was very tasty. Definitely worth getting food here. Especially if you’re starving, no regrets getting my first curry from here. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu!

Sadly we didn’t get the poppadoms we ordered. Have asked for a refund but not holding out much hope. Not sure how hard it is for a takeaway to get an order right.

I would like a refund I spent £53 the time was changed 3 times I finally got through to restaurant he said the busy and short staff , this should be stated on the app or something as I wouldn’t have ordered cause my kids had fallen asleep by the time the food came nearly 3hrs later not happy at all

we ordered online for our food around 6:24pm and the website said it’ll be with us in 45 minutes. However we waited for an hour and just assumed they hit traffic but it took longer so we called the restaurant and asked and they said there has been a lot of deliveries but the driver is 5 minutes away. So we waited and after 10-15 minutes we called again as it was now 8:30 and we have been waiting a ridiculous amount and are starving, we mentioned again it has been too long and they said it’ll be there in 10 minutes. we replied saying you said that 15 minutes ago and asked will our food be cold and he responded “probably”. Luckily we waited another 10 min and the food had arrived still warm with the correct order but very sweaty. Food tasted good but we had such a small order and we felt too hungry to even finish most of it. Probably won’t order delivery again.

Food cold when it go here delivery time was 8.30 then change to 8.45/9.05 turn up at 9.45

Excellent food and generous portions at a very reasonable price. Wide choice of dishes including vegetarian. There is on street parking nearby.

Super fast preparing the order and such friendly staff. I arrived slightly early and was offered a drink whilst I was waiting. Couldn't recommend them more.

I ended up driving to pick up the food! I eat here usually but all the dishes were not good today! disappointing waste of money. meat was tough the naan bread was solid and dry. won't eat there again after tonight! ordered at 5.35 and had a phone call at 6.40 saying my food would be another 30 mins after it was supposed to be out on delivery for 6.25... so I said I would drive to collect! waste of time and money!

I'm very disappointed with my ordered which I placed the 2 chicken dishes I ordered had 5 pieces of chicken in each container which was not good enough when I have paid £18.90 for the dishes

The food is always great. But so unreliable on delivery times, and previously we have had the wrong food delivered. Wouldn’t look to order again because it is always late.

Food took 2 hours 45 minutes to be delivered, had to call 3 times to see what was going on. When it arrived it was barely luke warm, had very little flavour and the prawn dish had about tiny prawns in. Wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing little restaurant! Food was absolutely beautiful and full of flavour. The service was great, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Despite there being some very rude customers in the restaurant, the staff dealt with it professionally and politely. Already excited to go again!

Have ordered from here a few times. Curries and rice are always delicious. Chips are hit and miss. However, having always asked for delivery and despite being told 45-60 mins which is fine, the actual delivery time on the last 2 occasions has been 2+ hrs. Am told it's just being cooked or haven't got a driver. Really disappointing that this restaurant/ takeaway is not reliable with their delivery.

Service was great food oh my god bland no taste to it all the rice was mushy not a single grain in sight the dessert maktesers cheesecake it was solid the cheesy part was goey base was hard overall the popudum where the best part . Sorry guys I don’t like the good it’s was horrible

The rice and naan were fine, but the main curries were pretty flavourless. So much onion. So little meat. What meat there was, was chewy and gristly.

Great food great prices and even though a very large party in service was prompt courteous and excellent. Chefs came to check all was well too.

Food was 45 minutes late based on just eats latest delivery arrival time. Contacted the restaurant twice during this as just eat updated to say it had left the restaurant 45 minutes before it arrived, unfortunately the food then arrived cold

Selected new takeaway as it was close and wouldnt be impacted by rush hour due to time we were ordering and the fact that it had 5 star hygiene rating. Got a little worried as it approached 20mins late for delivery but when it did arrive it was banging. Really hot on arrival and the flavours were immense. Portion size excellant give the price levels and a variety of options not on everybodies menu. Think we've found our new #1 choice for takeaway. Ok guys you've set the bar high with this first delivery, looking forward to next family birthday celebration on 12th Feb for a larger/wider tastes order.

Food quality is hot, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff go over what is needed and you will leave feeling really happy, content and full! There are so many curry houses at the moment, that this surpasses them because of their amazing staff. Definitely will come back.

Very disappointed with mixed starter, only half piece of lamb kebab and very tiny pieces of chicken and little lamb. very salty, saag aloo was also very salty. mushroom rice was nice. couldn't enjoy. food came on time. thanks for providing 1 poppadom.

The wrong food was delivered originally so driver had to go and get a new order. Which resulted in the delivery being over an a hour late. The food was great but obviously being delivered that late wasn’t ideal

The food was really good. The Chicken Tikka Madras was so soft and full of flavour as was the biriyani. The bombay Aloo was very tasty. The only let down was the chips, but in fairness I have never comer across a decent Indian takeaway that can make them. Would order from the Red Chilli again.

Food was cold and poor also over a hour late so....i have tried this place a few times and it is usually pretty good this time not so will try another place next time

Lovely delivery driver. Food was fantastic!!!

We were out on a Sunday evening looking to have an Indian meal. We spotted the offer posted outside - and thought we’d give it a go. We used to come to this restaurant many years ago when it was run by different owners. We were pleasantly surprised by the meal , and found it wasn’t mounds of food - but just the right amount and we are quite big eaters. The food was tasty and well presented and good value for the money. The waiter was attentive and friendly, and the drinks were reasonably priced. We would go again - especially for the meal deal.

10/10. Ordered from here for the first time today after a bad day at work. So much curry and the peshwari naan was incredible. I ordered a popadom and got one free along with a free tub of yogurt (i’m assuming it was yogurt). I’ll definitely be ordering from here again! :)
