Real Taste Halal Fried Chicken in Tower Hamlets

The chili sauce is my absolutely favourite chicken and chip sauce, it's so unique and flavourful and I have never had a sauce like theirs anywhere else. It's the only reason I come back, I would love to get the recipe for it!!!!

Not very good. The chips were either old or cooked in bad oil. Didn't taste great. The wings had hair in it. No very appetizing.

The food was decent and the service was fast.

This store was the best when I was in school. I always used to go and it was literally the best, but that was 6 years ago. Since then the quality has dropped every single time I went there more and more and the price has increased more and more which is really disappointing. Literally every other store in the area is better now which makes me really sad.

Everything here is so good love real taste so much. One of the best food places in the area !

£5 for 10 wings is a joke. I'm actually disgusted. Considering there's several other shops don't understand why it's so expensive here. Never again. Lesson learnt

Delivery was on time, we paid for chilli sauce and was given a few more on top for free. Food tasted good but was cold upon arrival which I why I knocked off a star.

Poor quality food but very high price compared to similar fried chicken shops. In few yards distance 5 wins meal is £3.50 but in real taste it's £5.00!

1. They serve genocide drinks 2. The customer services is actually shocking. If you are a woman, they ridicule you and treat you so badly. 3. Wings are nice but doner was dry.

Food was nice, could have been warmer. They forgot to give my burger sauce too which I paid for. However, their chilli sauce is one of the best and chips was nice and crispy.

Have noticed this place's meal deals don't include a drink anymore. Canned drinks now cost £1. The place is nowhere near as busy as it used to be. Quite a shame as it's in an ideal location to do a good trade. Food was good today. I noticed they are now doing delivery which may explain why the shop isn't so busy. Can pay with cash or card.

I use to come here all the time but they’ve really gone down hill which is a shame as there my local they changed the prices which is understandable but they already were a little overpriced for the quality of food. if you buy a meal you have to pay extra for a drink I ordered a cheeseburger in there and one man charged me extra for CHEESE for my CHEESEBURGER ridiculous and out of order when I’ve been going there for years and then another guy when I went there a different time didn’t charge me for cheese in my cheeseburger so they don’t even have set prices they’ll just charge you for what they want. The seating is outdated and worn and so hard and uncomfortable so sit in they need to update it there charging these ridiculous prices but haven’t even done anything good with the money there taking from people

I was tracking the delivery the whole way and he was going the opposite direction, my house is fairly close to the restaurant but driver went further away from my house. he called me 4 times and I was giving the right directions, by the time he had arrived food was cold and chips were stale, very disappointed

The food is okay nothing special the sauce makes the food taste a bit better. Location is busy but not very clean area and food costs more than average pfc’s.

Today I ordered a small chips for my child .The guy give me old and burned chips , he just frying a new chips and quickly mixed with old chips, while I ask to show me the chips box he denied to give the box and rude to me. He way of talking is very rude and dishonest manner. Try to make fool the customer. My recommendation is pls don’t go this shop as they can give you any rotten things to eat. A local authority should notice this matters.

Place has fallen off badly it isn’t the Real Taste of old you probably remember. Rude staff and unforgivable prices. The community has helped this shop so much yet they try to rinse as much money as they can out of customers for rubbish food.

I hate to give 1 star review because I don’t want businesses to shut down but this place deserves it. Please read the last paragraph for the reason why. I’ve been living in the area for about 8 years and this place has probably been there for over a decade. They were quite popular in the beginning because of the location. I used to come here for the cheap prices and value for money. Then with price rises over the years, the value for quality worsened so I stuck to getting their promo deal - 3 doner kebab meals for the price of 2. 2 days ago, I went to the shop after many months. Bear in mind that my go to doner kebab meal had already increased in price after the pandemic; I was shocked to find out that the doner kebab meal was no longer a meal deal. £15 only covered the kebab, naan and salad. Would have to pay extra for chips and drinks which usually came with the meal. At this moment, I realised there was no reason to come back to this place. It has neither value, cheap prices or good tasting food. The doner gave me food poisoning (do note that I asked for spicy though) and chips have always been not appetising over the years. Moving onto the horrifying news; the kitchen never looked hygienic but that’s common for chicken shops to be fair. Shockingly, I watched the cook at the back take out a big batch of wings from the frier and some dropped on the floor. THE GUY PICKED THEM UP AND PUT THEM BACK IN THE BATCH. In conclusion, this place has been around for over a decade and has made less than minimum changes or innovations. Shamim’s PFC down the road managed to renovate their chicken shop to look like a fine dining establishment. This place has lost its value for money and the unappetising taste leaves much to be desired. The hygiene is criminally low. In my opinion, spice hut is the best chicken shop in the area now: amazing taste for a chicken shop, reasonable prices and good value.

The wings are very expensive around the whole UK. Today I bought 15 piece of wings for £10 I'm disappointed, doesn't money come from cows bottoms. I'll never go this shop.

Took a while for a small meal, wings were overdone and fairly difficult to feed my little one - who I specified that the meal was for. Was also quite spicy so I had to break out and soften the white meat for her as it was over done. Chips were fine, standard portion. No salad given which I was specifically wanting to give my child.

The guy give old Chips it's all ready fry from I did not say anything because they should give every customer fresh Chips I think they should know that I pay for my Chips that the less they can do. Avoid this shop. They gave us out of date chilli sauce it had an awful taste this must be the reason why me and my other half had food poisoning and the wings where stale so was the chips. Nothing is fresh in there. Its the worst in eastlondon.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Food never arrived, I appreciate this is not the shops fault, and I will eventually receive a refund from Uber, however when I phoned the shop trying to find and locate my food the number they advertise online with does not go through. To me this is terrible customer service, in this modern day and age you should have contact between customers. Highly disappointed!!!

What can I say. Shocked isn’t going to cut it. It’s more like daylight robbery. Went in to get a little snack to nibble on. Asked for a portion of wings. The guy said £3 so I asked for how many, he replied 5. Checked the price list and it says 60 pence a wing. You would think they would have a deal on 5 or 10, but no the guy says it’s £6. Not even KFC charges that much. KFC works out 50p per wing. Even in spice hut you get naga wings for 50p each. Been to all the other shops along the strip and they all are selling in bundles. This is the last time I’m going into that shop since they have increased all their prices ridiculously.

After receiving stone cold disgusting food, I called the restaurant to complain and to request a full refund. I was told that they were closing and that the driver had picked up my food over 40 minutes ago. I am disgusted. I’ve contacted just eat about this and still await a response. It’s unacceptable when your spending money on something, that’s not even edible. I hope this gets sorted because it’s unfair on customers to be treated like this.

The grilled wings was okay but they forgot to put the sauce on them and the whole grilled chicken was not eatable because it was extremely overcooked and completely dry

The driver was polite. However the restaurant staff is just plain dumb. They sent out incomplete orders and upon calling they did not entertain to send me the missing items. Do not order from here. They do it on purpose and then you have to go through a long claim process through just eat. You wouldnt want that hassle in life. Order it from somewhere else.

They're ripping people off. Kids beef burger with chips without drink is £. 2.25 ( now its £2.50), I then asked for a can of Coke the price went to £3.50. So basically charging people £1.25 for a can of Coke. All the other meals are prices really high. Go down the road to spice hut and save money, it's better quality too.

Real Taste more like no taste. The wings were soo bland, used Mayo and Ketchup on it and it was still bad, chips were dead aswell.

10/10 for kebab(meat), wings & chips always. I’m a more than ten-year-old customer. In food a wonder for East London. A busy place but with real fast food service. Taste quality remains a priority that’s what have to share and what I buy every time I visit. Quite premium prices currently but portions are large every time boxes are full to the max. Still, I will go again to fill my hunger anytime.
