Regal Fish Bar in Tower Hamlets

I was attracted by the smell of the youth hostel I stayed in nearby, so I bought some chicken wings. I didn’t expect that at such a price, I could buy chicken wings that are so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and not too salty. The boss is an interesting person. , I feel like I not only bought fried chicken but a box of deliciousness and joy, highly recommended. Staying at a nearby hostel, I was drawn in by the aroma and decided to buy some chicken wings. I was surprised that, at this price, I could get that are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of collagen . The seasoning is just right—not too salty. The owner is a delightful person, and I feel like I got not just a box of fried chicken, but a box of deliciousness and joy. Highly recommended!

I been to this place today for lunch as it was closest to my training venue. The place was not that clean. The food didn't taste as much as the price I was charged. I was charged about £11.50 for small cod and chips. Overpriced place plus lacks in quality.

I absolutely love this place and always come here whenever i want some fish and chips, they have the best chips and their food is not overpriced. I love the owner of the place, he is so friendly and has the best smile you will ever see. Have been coming here for years

The food here is amazing, the battered sausage is 10/10, fish 10/10 and chips 10/10… no better place in London. The staff are AMAZING, so friendly and caring. Definitely stop off here for a quick munch, can’t go wrong.

i had spicy wings today and totally disappointment. chicken meat was dry and old , tastes like its been fried yesterday and today just warmed up. never buying there wings again.

Only think that knocked down the stars for me was the fish wasn’t out of the oil, gave me one in the rack and there was a small black hair on it. However Chips are good, typical UK style big and not crispy. Fish is fine but not worth coming across London for. Was 11.50 at lunch for a small cod and chips which anywhere else I think would be 7-8. If you’re in the area after the pub and need some sobering up it’s a good shout!

Chips were good but the chicken wings were rock hard! Please pay attention to your wings! I got 10 wings and chips. Costing over £11. I did ring them up and they were happy to compensate for it.

Overpriced (more expensive than kfc) tasteless food, and only gave 7 pieces of chicken when I paid for 8.

I started going here 7 years ago, ever since I moved to London. Meanwhile, I've moved several times and tried several chicken shops, but this is still the best fried chicken I've had in this town. The staff is really friendly, always asks me about my day.

The chips/fries and the fried cod are 3/5. I’ve had better in the U.S. which disappoints me. Chips weren't crispy. Hope this helps!

It's fine for a quick take out. I find the fish very greasy

£18 for two very dry cod and large dry old chips plus two 7ups was really disappointing after seeing its rating. I suspect the fish had been there all day and perhaps the chips. Real shame as the guy serving was very friendly.

Positives - Customer service was very good. Negatives - it wasn’t busy so unfortunately the food tasted like it had been out all afternoon. On the plus side we got extra because it was going to waste, however we barely ate it because it all tasted stale, too oily, cold and not fresh at all. £8.50 for the cod & chips seemed very overpriced too for the original amount we were supposed to get. Pretty disappointed and won’t be returning.

I bought fish and chips here last week. I will never buy from here again. The chips were under cooked and very pale, the cod was tinged yellow inside, very fishy tasting and the batter was soggy and oily. The fish was not fresh and the batter was inedible. At a price of £8 it was purely not worth the money. The Ok I needed changing and when I was given my change the guy thought it was ok to rub my hand! Seriously sort it before someone gets food poisoning. This is a very honest review from a very honest reviewer

Horrible cold and over cooked chips, and cod was tiny for a medium. Will never ever go there again, had no choice as only place open on a Sunday evening close to me. £7.60 wasted as chucked nearly all of it.

Quick fried chicken and chips. Food in belly within 10 mins. Cheap. Clean tables.

Love the food and prices are decent. Chips are unique and delicious. Better than mr cod. Great service and generous staff unlike mr cod who are stingy with their portions and sauces.
