Lovely selection of cakes and pastry’s. Nice location to sit outside the cafe in the sun whether hot or wrapped up warm. Reasonably priced.

The best croissants and flat whites are to be found here, at La Pâtisserie in Shoreham! The staff are delightful, the service is efficient and friendly, the baguettes are very fresh. Very difficult to choose a sandwich as they are all so good! Also saw some beautiful galettes on offer today! Congratulations for offering such good, genuine French food! 😋

I live in California and every time I visit my daughter, I make sure I go to the patisserie at least once or twice. I love this place. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to another trip this December and will celebrate my 76th birthday with another one of their delicious desserts.

Excellent venue and excellent service. I do not agree with the comments that criticise management and/or members of staff as they have always been very quick and attentive. I do not know where some people get these negative ideas from. I am willing to travel 1 and a half hour to get there, because it is the best place to meet up friends.

We love La Patisserie! The cakes are amazing and the hot chocolate is the best in Sussex. Hélène and team melt a mix of real dark and milk chocolate drops and then add steamed hot milk for a rich and creamy and perfectly balanced result.

I travel to get croissants here twice a week plus. Simply the best quality croissants BAR NONE. Beats all the other local chains. And at better prices too. A little taste of authentic France

I always go to La Patisserie, the food and coffee is always first class. Very friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere.

We come here very frequently for brunch, take away bread, snacks, light lunch or just for coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We find it to be the best shop in Sussex for enjoying and relax with family and friends. The staff are always very courteous and efficient. We live in Lancing a couple of miles away and family members always come here from Goring-by-sea about six miles away. I am Italian, love very good coffee and La Patisserie serves the best coffee in Sussex by far. I read a review on Trip Adviser from a person called Charmaine and I must say that I can’t understand why she is not at all complimentary about the Patisserie. All I can say is thank you La Patisserie for having looked after us so well for so many years and hopefully for many more to come.

My mother likes going here as the cakes are nice however 9 times out of 10 we are over charged so i now add everything up before I even order and always have to correct the staff when they charge me as there have been various occasions I have had to que up again to get money back from being over charged. I am Italian so I know good coffee, it is not nice coffee here. Most of the time they miss something off our order, today it was one of the coffees. The other day we got 2 takeaway coffees and the takeaway cups were only 2/3 coffee the rest froth. There is always a problem at this place so I will not be visiting again. Other nicer places in Shoreham with competent staff who don’t over charge you and get your order right

The filled baguettes are delicious. The array of cakes and pastries is authentically French. Service is prompt. Go early or late if you want a table as La Patisserie is justifiably popular, but get a takeaway at any time to eat in the nearby churchyard or on the beach.

Found this cute little place whilst visiting Shoreham. The full tables gave a great indication of how popular they are, and with good reason! A warm welcome by friendly staff, followed by a tasty croissant and the finest coffee. Wish I lived closer!

Stopped here one morning, bacon rolls, the bread was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Raspberry danish crown was as delicious and coffee fantastic. Staff super friendly. Will definitely stop here again and have recommended this place to friends.

We bought this Raspberry Mousse, Gluten free pistachio sponge, raspberry mousse & raspberry cake, for a colleague on her special birthday. It was beautiful and so light, this is very dangerous as it meant we may need to have a second helping! ;)Lovely friendly staff, esp. at 7.30 am in the morning when I picked it up and we also bought pain au chocolats and plain and almond croissants. It was late on Bank Holiday Sunday when we call in. We had 2 lovely gingerbread lattes, a Bostock which had an almond topping and the young lady had such a lovely accent and such a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanour that when she described all the ingredients it went straight over my head and I just smiled and said ‘it sounds delicious’, and a Krumeny which had chocolate, hazelnuts and caramel. The service was excellent and we had a brilliant time.

I’ve both eaten in and taken out here a few times and can say that the food and coffees are excellent, the staff are helpful and friendly, one of the best places for breakfasts/lunch/snacks in Shoreham-by-Sea.

Breakfast. Out Worthing Hotel was not offering breakfasts due to Covid - 19. We therefore remembered this gem, and drove via Shoreham on our way to Hove. Great coffees, and a lovely croissant and bacon roll were very much welcomed and enjoyed! The bread was so good we picked up a stick before leaving. We enjoyed our breakfast sitting outside and people watching under the beautiful blue skies. We will return!

Wonderful local shop. The baguette tastes like authentic French bread, far superior to what you find in the supermarkets here. They even sell ficelles. Cakes are also delicious, as is the coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is the best baker’s/cake shop I’ve ever come across this side of the Channel.

Hands down, the best chocolate and almond croissant I’ve ever had! I want to keep this place a secret (because I’m scared the croissants will go) but small businesses like these deserve recognition!

This is definitely one of the best coffee shops I ever been! The customer service is great, they very friendly and professional, always keeping the shop tidy, and clean, always with a smile, never rushing you, and the food tastes amazing! Fresh pastries, bread, pies, made in-store, it's amazing! I thought was another English coffee shop with just a french name, when to my surprise, even the staff were french! Was love at the first sight, Proper coffee, propper french pastries, I'm converted, now I go out of my way to, at least, go once a week, it's my little treat! They have a few vegan options, and when is good weather you can sit outside and appreciate the view of the lake/bridge. I feel so french when I go there

Great vegan food, choices, lovely staff and cheap. Veg tart on puff pastry with roasted veg & vegan cheese, perfectly balanced flavours. Side salad with seeds on, orange & date flapjack and oatley cappuccino. All for £9.50Staff were sensitive and attentive, and list of vegan options clearly listed in the window. Great harbour views too. 5 star hygiene rating. A lovely experience all in all.

This place is the perfect setting for a relaxing drink and snack. The cakes are amazing and they have gluten free ones which is great for my coeliac 11yo. The service is fab and the staff are always really friendly.

This year or my wife's birthday my sons and I decided to have one made for us. We chose the chocolate and pistachio which came complete with macarons they do so well. When I came collect it was Saturday and the sun was out and at midday they were madly busy. Queuing virtually into the street. Somehow they managed to keep it together. The girl who served me knew immediately what I had come for, had the cake boxed up in no time but just hesitated about my change because I had added in a ficelle (similar to a baguette but thinner and smaller). Unsurprising because they must have been under so much stress that day.The cake was absolutely delish. Light and just gorgeous. It just went down well after our Turkish meal and I'm glad we chose a mousse and not sponge perhaps.If you want to have a cake for your special occasion, head to their website where you have all the choices and sizes. We chose 20 cms but we are getting a good deal more slices than we thought. Those serving indications are really correct!Now the next occasion is a milestone birthday for my brother so we have some deciding to do....

Great selection of cakes and coffees on offer, excellent service and reasonably priced too, I'm a regular customer and will continue to be.

We come here at least once a week for a bacon roll and a coffee. It is the best cup of coffee in the county (and we have tried most of them) the bacon rolls are perfection on a plate and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful team ever.We can highly recommend La Patisserie to everyone who enjoy good eating and drinking

Lovely little patisserie, the food is incredible and the drinks are delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. My only complaint would be the paper plates, I understand it's easier to clear up. I just feel like it's a lot of unnecessary waste what with all the climate problems we're facing, also it's not that nice eating off of a paper plate.

What else but a little oasis of France...it’s my respite to switch off and relax when I’m down in the area...I’ve been here too often now, if that’s possible? I only wish there was a sister shop/Patisserie where I live.

La Patisserie is my guilty pleasure! I can't say guilty secret because I'm always telling people how good it is! This week the place has been buzzing with happy customers. And even though the owners are away on a well earned break, the front of house team have more than maintained standards. Everyone is well trained and that translates into efficient service with a smile. All of the staff are a credit to this wonderful patisserie and it's no surprise that the customers are often queuing out of the door. The chewy brown bread is out of this world and this week I discovered a rustic French baguette. There is also a mouthwatering range of pastries and macaroons, not to mention hot bakes and lovely coffee. When somewhere is doing such a great job, and you feel welcomed as a regular customer, it's a pleasure to let Shoreham and the world know! Congratulations to a place that really offers something different and keep up the good work.

I love this place, in my opinion it has the best coffee in Shoreham. There is a huge variety of breads and the cakes are truly works of art. It could rival a French Patisserie easily!

We visited this patisserie in Shoreham for the first time last saturday and I was amazed at the quality and variety of the cakes and savouries on display. I could imagine myself in any French city at any patisserie worth its salt. Truly magnificent. The bread is just as good especially the Rye sour. Ice cream and coffee also very good quality. If only we had one in my city I would be there every day. We are going back to Shoreham just to buy more cakes and it ouside with ice cream and coffee. Sublime.

I can't begin to describe the delicacies here, they are all mouthwateringly good. Just watch your eyes aren't bigger than your stomach! Great coffee too.

I have been back here several times because the cakes are just irresistible. The reviewer who said the cakes are pricey - well I don't know what or where they are buying from but here it's quality and I think the prices are reasonable. In fact I know of a comparable Pâtisserie we go to in Boulogne and the prices are pretty much the same.

The bread and selection is second to none locally. The pastries are luminous. There's really not much more to be said except that the few tables for coffee are always busy.

This establishment is popular because the food is so good, and the staff are always welcoming. There's often a queue but it is worth the wait! You can order food in advance, which is handy if you are entertaining. I thoroughly recommend this café /patisserie.

Tried this place again after giving up a couple of times due to somewhat chaotic service. Still disorganised, seating pretty uncomfortable and cakes and pastries very over priced. Several better places for coffee in Shoreham.

Excellent quality patisserie and fresh bread. Tasty sandwiches, baguettes etc. Good selection of savoury snacks. Quite a few tables inside and out, can be a queue...but it's worth the wait.

When in town and after a coffee I visit here,unfortunatly the display of cakes wrecks my will power and I have to indulge.The coffee is top class and is one of the few places in the town that will provide cream to go in it....to me coffee without the cream does not taste the same and having semi skimmed milk with it is an abomination ! One down side is that being so popular its not easy to get the seating that one would prefer.

While visiting Shoreham we decided to stop at this lovely place to eat. It looked so inviting and we weren't disappointed. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. It does have a small outside seating area but it was raining so we ate inside. So nice to receive a coffee hot! Many big chains seem to serve coffee luke warm. Nice atmosphere, will visit again when in the area.

Visiting Shoreham with friends we stopped at "La Patisserie - Bakery & Coffee Shop" for morning coffee.

I've visited this cafe several times over the last few months and have never been disappointed. Coffee is always good and cakes are wonderful. Would recommend for light snacks also. Cafe is small so not always easy to get inside but if weather is fine you can usually get a seat outside.

This cafe appears to have changed hands and unfortunately not for the better, well not yet anyway. Really disappointed with the fruit tart as there was so little fruit content I won’t rush back anymore as we can get a decent coffee elsewhere. Hope it comes back up to it’s former days.

I used this patisserie a lot over the summer. Mostly for takeaway excellent baguettes and almond crossiants or lemon and poppy seed cake they made my flat white just how I like them with an extra shot.. Is a little bit pricy but you get what you pay for.. Can get busy but staff very helpful and friendly.. Could do with an extra Barrista machine for when it's very busy..

Fresh baked bread and the pastries are to die for! Coffee is excellent. Seating is limited but on a fine day tables are set outside in the precinct. They also sell ice cream and cold drinks. The staff are very helpful and cheerful, a very popular place to buy daily bread.

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife's party. I picked it up and was delighted by the presentation of the cake. It looked delicious, and tasted just as good. The French lady (owner?) who served me was extremely pleasant. Everyone loved the cake and I would totally recommend this patisserie. Merci x

What a lovely patisserie, I went in initially for a loaf of bread and ended up coming out with extra. I purchased a couple of individual quiches for dinner they were delicious and I will definitely return. I must recommend their almond cakes as they are the best I’ve had for ages.

it is with real regret that i feel i have to write this review. We have been coming here for ages and always had a great experience, however me and my daughter came in for lunch today as a treat. she had Tuna sandwich, i had a prawn baguette. Neither of us could eat them!...mine had a very strong taste, and the prawns tasted a little stronger than they should and my daughters sandwich was not nice either..the tuna tasted cheap and strong and really wasn't pleasant!..considering she always has a tuna sandwich whenever we lunch out, so for us both to not be able to eat them is rare...

My partner and I just had our French themed engagement party over the weekend, and we had a large order of food ready for the occasion. The food was utter perfection and the choice of food available was absolutely amazing. We ordered from the Shoreham branch and was greeted with a queue out the door in a food business (Which is never a bad sign!) the atmosphere was incredible and the food was presented front and centre looking fresh and bursting with colour and decadence.

The baking is absolutely first class, the coffee is great, and the service is very good, even when they are really busy. Helene, the French owner, is always absolutely charming and leads by example.

We came here after walking past several times and were really glad we did! We only had tea and cake but it was excellent. The cakes are clearly freshly made and the mango and lime slice was divine. It's a busy little place and the freshly baked breads and quiches also looked very tasty- will have to try those next time!

I’m a big fan of the Real Patisserie Company’s chewy brown loaf and they serve a good coffee and pain au chocolat here, but we had to sit out in the cold today because of their no dogs policy. I’ve since found out that nearby cafes Hector’s Shed and Tom Foolery are dog friendly,so we know where to go next time.

This is a real French Patisserie and the owner is a genuine French Patissier. And does it show. A lovely modern setting overlooking .the Adur and cakes just as you would find in France beautifully displayed and all explained. There is just so much to choose from even at 5pm on a rainy Friday afternoon.

Really yummy pastries and cakes! A fab selection - LOVE the pistachio and berry cakes! Nice location too overlooking Adur river whilst having a coffee! Can say I will definitely be returning and always look forward to a yummy cake in here!

I only go here for the wholegrain brown Fjord bread, it is so delicious and full of flavour! The counter is full of a range of sweet and savoury pies, tarts, bread and cakes (no vegan options it seems, but everything looks fresh and delicious) The staff are always smiling and friendly!

We dropped in for morning coffee, lots of cakes to chose from so had to false a chocolate eclair down, and take a selection home with us.

This is certainly worth a visit. Excellent ambience and the staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble even when extremely busy. Wonderful selection of pastries and sandwiches. Highly recommend.
