Ray's Roadhouse Cafe in Sedgemoor

Hadn’t been here for a while so thought we’d try it out once again. So glad we did. The new owners had only been there for 2 weeks and were still finding their feet but my gosh the food was good. Mark and Tina are very friendly, the prices are good, the cheeseburger the best I’ve ever had. So much choice on the menu, we shall be returning again and again.

The Galley Cafe in Burnham is 20 times better than this place, cheap nasty catering sauce, doesn't take much to put HP sauce and Heinz ketchup on the table.

Popped into the burnham on sea one of these. We ordered chips and coffee, we were told there would be a little wait as the chef/cook was in the toilet, no problem we said and paid for our order. We were then told the chef was in toilet cleaning up a bad nasty mess that a customer had left behind, we decided to leave once we saw the chef return back to kitchen wearing the same clothes, we didn't even ask for a refund. Surely it eould of made more sense to put the toilet out of order and clean it after closing time. We will not be returning to this one.

Called into the Burnham on Sea venue. Great location, great food and great staff plus dog friendly- other places could learn from these. So if your in Burnham call in and enjoy.

Looked up breakfast in Higbridge Rays Roadhouse Cafe came up. It was less than two minute drive from the hotel I was staying in. The hotel did t offer fried eggs or black pudding. Rays gave me a warm welcome. They were also very helpful given I use a stick for walking. All of my requested breakfast was cooked fresh. The toast was also brilliant too. No plain sliced bread here. The whole thing was very tasty and to top it off brown sauce supplied for free in a bottle. No sachets that take forever to open. Great place, I just wish I live closer

Friendly staff. Great value breakfast and good choice of options. Always book an early MoT so we can pop in for a breakfast whilst the car is being tested.

on my new visit was a great surprise the cafe has been revamped and the big surprise was the food was still the same standard and around the same cost the staff as always were very pleasant and the food arrived fast and was perfect out of all the local places to eat its the best and i now intend to have breakfast every week along with a friend

Called in instead of using motorway service station and can honestly say it was the cleanest place I've ever been to. The ladies toilet was unbelievable! It was spotless beyond spotless. The tables were beautifully dressed with the cleanest of table cloths and the price of the food was excellent. We've eaten in some very expensive eateries but this was outstanding!

I phoned and spoke to a lady who then passed me over to the cook. They were so very helpful! I needed a fruit cake made for my in-laws golden anniversary, I rang on the Monday it was ready by the following Thursday, iced and everything. The cake was gorgeous, everyone was very impressed. It was moist and had so much fruit. I would definitely recommend this cafe, not just for the food but also for the service. They were so friendly 👩🏻‍🍳

This is the best cafe for miles. Their cooked breakfast, both meat and veggie options are exceptional and their cheeseburgers and omelettes are to die for. Been here a lot and the service has always been wonderful. Joanne, Nicky, Marie and all the staff and so friendly and down to earth, always remembering who you are. You couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Visited a few times, same friendly, professional service, great food, really good value for money. Well worth the effort to find.

With six of us arriving for our holiday in Brean around lunchtime we decided to stop here for lunch on the way, all day breakfast was plentiful for four of our family, I very much enjoyed the tuna salad and my husband had the jacket potato with cheese and beans. It was a hot sunny day but the restarant was cool unless you were sitting by the window, it was clean and busy. We all had drinks and the children had ice creams, the prices were very reasonable and the staff were polite and service was very good. Would definitely come back again if we visit the area.

Very well presented roadhouse cafe, good truckers menu at reasonable prices. Very enjoyable! Fried bread very yummy if not on a diet.

If u want a top breakfast which is always great standard this is the place . Loads of other things on menu good home cooking at a great price and all the staff are very friendly and always make u welcome

The title says it all, the Customer service is fantastic and the food is perfect. Had a couple of choices when I chose the breakfast and we will definitely be visiting here as often as we can.

This cafe is hidden away, but well worth a trip.The food is excellent, freshly cooked to order, with portions to suit everyone. From breakfasts, sandwiches and wraps, to jacket potatoes and pies, something for us all. The home made cakes are also amazing. All of this comes with a cheerful smile and a friendly ambience which makes the experience something not to be missed.

Stopped at the local Travelodge we decided to go to Rays for breakfast due to the positive reviews. From the very pleasant greeting to the prompt service with a smile and the excellent food Rays ticked all the boxes. The whole restaurant was very clean and tidy. Great staff, great food , what’s not to like!! Highly recommend a place for breakfast just off the M5!!

Stopped in here for a mega breakfast while I waited for my car to be fixed at Motorfix Auto Centre on the same industrial estate.

They do a great breakfast and you can ask for your food to be cooked to how you like it great service. Staff are always happy and welcoming. Ideal stop if you have your car in for service. The coffee is perfect for me which I find is a rare thing.

Came in with my family and we each had a very different meal, so easy to please all the family! I had a fab veggie breakfast, Staff were happy to cater for me and my needs, very friendly! Lovely atmosphere too. Will definitely be back!

As soon as we sat down the staff were attentive and catered for my ever need, making a very friendly welcoming environment to enjoy my brunch. The food is extremely well priced and really hits the spot, with a great range on the menu from cooked breakfasts to sandwiches to homemade cakes, a great little find and would highly recommend.

I visit Ray’s Roadhouse a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends and was not disappointed! We all had a cooked breakfast and I have to say it was cooked to perfection.

I was visiting the area last week and after loads of recommendations from locals to go here I popped in last week and it did not disappoint!! Their food was excellent, as well as having lovely staff that were always smiling and happy to help, it was evident they were willing to go that extra mile for the customer to make our experience special. Took some of the homemade cakes to go and they were incredible. Can’t wait to come back again on my next trip!

Popped in for breakfast with a few friends. Service was friendly and fast, very comfortable environment and was made to feel welcome. Was eyeing up other items on the lunch menu so very keen to visit again. Heard the homemade cakes are delicious aswell!
