Raven in Ipswich

I arranged to have my partners surprise 40th birthday party at the Raven on 7th September, Graham and all of his staff went above and beyond to make this a special occasion for my partner, friends, family and myself, staff were extremely helpful and even helped with putting up all decorations, nothing was too much trouble, I ordered the silver buffet for this event, the food was of excellent quality and definite value for money, all staff at the Raven were polite and friendly and I would not hesitate to hold another event at this venue !

We visit as a foursome quite often normally on a Monday evening. On the last visit three of us ordered the grilled sea bass special. The meal was very good, plentiful and tasty. A good place to visit on a weekday night.

We met at the Raven for a birthday dinner last weekend. We all had a pre-dinner cocktail before we ordered a range of food from the menu. The staff behind the bar were friendly and helpful especially for our gluten free friend. The food came out on time altogether and was delicious.(New chef?)

Highly recommend this pub , lovely atmosphere, staff friendly food amazing , prepared beautiful, steaks were delicious, very busy but well worth the wait , even though you get some people moan . You cannot fault this place . We also had a party if 12 back in January for a birthday food amazing that’s why we go back .

Arrived at the Raven ordered some drinks, studied the menu then were told they stop serving food. this was at 8.10pm. website states 9.00pm. Always used the Raven in the past, always ordered food between 8 and 9pm without a problem? never again.

Booked a surprise birthday party at my local. As always the service was excellent , the atmosphere was amazing. We even went clean up the day & every thing was done for us. We also eat there requentky & tkt food is amazing . Thank you as always

I have just got back from celebrating my partner’s birthday with her mum and dad, the young man behind the bar was happy to change tables for us as her dad is disabled. Drinks and food ordered at around 18:40, 1 starter and 4 mains, waited till 19:20 and it all came up together, I asked for the starter to be returned and taken off the bill, we then tried to explain to the young lady waitress that it’s not her fault which was returned by ignoring us and a very grumpy look. My chips were cold, my partners pie was not cooked properly and her mother’s onion ring was overcooked. When paying we was offered a 10% discount which was nice. The older man wasn’t interested in our complaint, I presume he is in charge. All in all a very mediocre experience.

I went out for a Mother’s Day meal with my family. The staff made us feel very comfortable, although we had to go to the bar to order our meals. However, the food was brought out promptly. Our server was a young lady who mentioned it was her first day on the job, but she was very efficient and attentive. Overall, it was a delightful meal!

Very good welcome and the food was great. All hot and tasted great. Will def be returning. Lovely atmosphere and all very helpful. We all enjoyed the evening Thank you very much 😊
