Ratz Cafe in Thanet

Part tearoom / cafe and part museum, this is a really good place to enjoy 20 minutes or so whilst waiting for a tour of the tunnels. Using a real life details of a pre / post war tea rooms ( but with much better food), and almost unheard of refreshments, it is very good to sit and look over the posters and enamel signs from the early 1940's. Great people looking after this little gem.

We visited prior to and before visiting the Ramsgate Tunnels. We were given excellent service, Cake and Scones super. Great value for money.

A good range of cakes, drinks and snacks to refresh you before or after your visit to the Tunnels or simply a pleasant place to stop off from the beach and prom.

Made a point of buying refreshments at the Tunnels Cafe after my visit.There was a good selection of cakes etc and tea served however you l;ike it !

cracking mug of hot chocolate,creamy but not "sickly",reasonably priced,can thoroughly recommend it.

Great homemade cakes - lovely lady serving when we visited. Nice coffee and china like your nan had! Highly recommended.

Nice little cafe in an unusual setting. The cakes are home made I think either way they tasted lovely. Not a bad brew either.

Parking is a problem but I parked at the top of the cliffs and walked down the stairs. This is ok if you are fit.

The cakes in this cafe are all homemade Tea coffe are excellent a variety off soft drinks. I would think it would be lovely in the summer sitting outside a very sheltered spot.

Old fashioned cakes including bread pudding fit in perfectly with the story of WW2 - although the cafe portions are much more generous! Friendly service and incredibly low prices make it a great stop!

Small cafe for a cuppa and cake after visiting the tunnels. Gives an opportunity to reflect on your visit. Tasty cakes.

We visited after doing the tunnel tour with children and we had really nice sandwiches and great service.

What a great day filler and cheap as chips ...value!!!!!!! I cant wait to go next year as it gets better each year as they discover more facts.

Coffee and cake before our tunnel tour. Excellent quality and very good value. Be aware that they only take cash. Will certainly return when in Ramsgate, even if not visiting the tunnels.

As you enter Ramsgate tunnels, the cafe is situated on the left, it's a simple layout with good tea etc, and simple food, do try the sausage rolls....yummy! It's a not a conventional cafe, so don't expect a large layout...please do stop for a cuppa, before or after the tour! We'll worth it!!!!
