Friendly efficient service in a good situation. Difficult car park.

Went out for dinner was lovely, food was great and staff and locals made a great atmosphere would 100% recommend

Service and food is always great! But worth noting that they now have a camera in the car park. So if your eating and drinking in their pub, and parked in their pub car park. You will get a fine! If you haven’t paid. Seems like a good deterrent…..

BEWARE! We arrived as it was just getting dark and parked in what we thought was the pub carpark, i.e. 'The Rashleigh Inn Carpark' adjacent to the pub. We have just been sent £100 fine in the post. As you can imagine I am very angry, considering nobody thought to mention it in the pub, especially since it was getting dark and there were was no lit signage, and no signage that we saw on the way into the pub. If we had seen it, we would have paid. To be honest I wouldn't have looked that hard, as I have never in my life had to pay to park in a pub's carpark before.

Found this little gem by chance the food was amazing best beer batter by far on my fish. Really friendly staff and a view to die for loved it one of the best spots we found to eat while on holiday in fowey

Absolutely fantastic place. Great customer service with fun and friendly staff which have a proper conversation and a laugh with you The sunset is absolutely incredible. I'm walking the swcp 630mile and this is in my top 2 places. The fish and chips were bang on with crispy beer batter and the chips are something special. Only downfall was on the salad. £16.50 for a small salad. Quite dry and when you add the chicken there was the tiniest bit on there. We worked it out from being in the trade that the leaves were less than 50p and the chicken if bought in bulk was less than £1's worth. So total of £1.50 cost and sold at £16.50. that's a GP (gross profit margin of over 1650% which really hurt me to work out. Slightly criminal. But I must add that they did give us a beer to appolagise which makes all the difference. I just really hope they make that change. They are slightly on the higher side of price but I understand this because they have to survive the winter period. But it's very important to provide quality if you are charging high. I will definitely be returning though! Love these guys!

We booked a table for 1.30 I was going to have banners and mash they had run out of mash, so I said I would have the ham egg and chips and they had run out of eggs. In the end I had bangers and chips which was£ 17.50.The service was poor, the food was poor and the prices was expensive, the only thing going for this pub was it's position near the sea. Will never go back.

The only burger I can compare this to is Fergburger all the way from Queenstown, New Zealand. Never have I had such a good burger in the UK. Good job team. ⚠️ Parking is expensive and fines apply ⚠️ Carpark is a bit cozy. Plan ahead.

Super nice service. Excellent quality food. Outdoor area overlooking the sea. Lovely time to relax and unwind for a couple of hours.

Rather disappointed, after our long journey, to find no mussels available and several specials crossed out. But the grilled mackerel special I had was delicious. Fish and chips looked good, so did the bacon burger. Unfortunately the Moving Mountains vegan burger was rather overcooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and efficient. And dog friendly! The setting is wonderful, lots of seating outside overlooking the beach, and plenty of tables inside (it was overcast on our visit). MOH vetoed the narrow lane down to the beach parking, so we parked in the field above and walked down the steep zigzag path ... interesting! But wouldn't be quite so good on a wet day ...

After a day at the beach (10 yards from pub!) We went as a family to eat! The food was exceptional & high quality! The service by Jack was amazing. The views from the pub of the beach & sea are also amazing! We will definitely be back soon!

Cracking pub. Awesome friendly bar staff, great selection of ales... and the rums!!! Food is lovely too- although I have only ever had the fish & chips, as it is so fricking good. On a hot day, this place is like being abroad- it really is that good. Found Polkerris, through booking at Woodys bike park, and stopping at Penhale campsite- a little slice of heaven.

What a gem. A little carpark if you're lucky enough to get a space. Otherwise there's a pay and display. It was lovely on a sunny evening to be outside, but the indoor areas are charming too

We had a nice afternoon sheltering from a storm in this cozy pub. The lunch sandwiches were very tasty and a good size. They have loads of great beers and ciders from local breweries which is something I look out for in a good pub. The staff were also really friendly.

Fantastic little beachside pub with amazing views and brilliant food. The beers were great too. Staff were friendly as hell, the locals were a blast and it was the perfect little lunch stop after a day walking on windy beaches.

We walked down from Penhale Camp site, and I had a lovely meal of mussels, and my wife had the GF loaded fries, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good, the views were fantastic and the staff were brilliant and very attentive to ensuring the GF was managed correctly.

This is a nice local pub and we have been here on several occasions over the years. It's in a lovely location right on the edge of a small beach, the pub has its own small car park and there is also a larger car park a short walk up the road from it. The staff here are friendly, we have always found the place to be clean and the food is nice. The only reason i have not given five stars is the price of the food. To me, it's a nice overall experience, I like going there, everything about it is nice - except the price. The food here it is what it is, pub food - nice pub food - but pub food nevertheless. Whilst I might be happy paying those prices for a fine dining experience at a fancy restaurant it's not what I would expect, or want, to pay for pub grub. Its just too much for what it is. Still, probably a nice place to visit, especially if you are on holiday and want to play on the beach afterwards- perfect.

Lovely spot right next to the beach but the atmosphere is just really quiet and cold, no hello unless you say it first, decor just worn and tatty. Food was nice, drinks were nice, just the atmosphere and decor let it down really.

Lovely quirky Inn right on Polkerris beach. We had some cheesy chips and a drink and sat admiring the view from the window. The beach is beautiful. This pub is dog friendly. The beach doesn’t allow dogs.

Seems they're trying it on for the tourist season, prices have recently spiked. We we're charged £14 on Friday evening for two pints (one non-alcohol) and a packet of crisps, that was a shocker. We live nearby & used to like this pub, it's a lovely spot but the price gouging is just getting out of hand.

Just been there food great if it ever arrives complete order coujons which arrived in no time waited for chip never turned up ask staff where they were he said he would check still nothing wife went back to bar and reminded them a gain they came at last no cutlery ask staff for them his said tey are inside never again

Awesome coastal boozer, when it's sunny lovely to sit outside chomping on fat Fowey mussels, but I think I prefer it on a really dark stormy day when the seat in the bay window could be reminiscent of The Admiral Benbow from Treaure Island. Order a pint of Budvar (one of the few pubs that have this on draught), close your eyes and you can almost hear Blind Pew tapping down the lane with his stick to hand you the Black Spot!

Very rude front of house, after politely complaining how cold our food was, we were not expecting the very rude angry response we got. We were told as soon as food was laid on the table (half an our after our friends who had ordered at the same time) that it’s best to eat it fast as possible as it gets cold quickly with the west being a bit cold and windy. It was very cold to start with. The refunded money was given very reluctantly, and was half the amount. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Such a shame as a beautiful setting,

Was looking forward to eating here but average at best... 😞 Service slow, restaurant area lacks atmosphere & is very noisy. The attached bar area is small and can be very busy. Good point is the beer garden out front: on a sunny day it's very nice 😀

This is a fantastic pub in a quite unique setting. Great beers, food and friendly staff. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy a view across the beautiful bay. Plenty of parking a short walk down the lane. Booking recommended as it's very busy in season.

Lovely place with excellent food and drinks. Catered exceptionally well for us (1x vegan and 1x coeliac). Excellent gluten free options - I highly recommend the fish and chips. Only thing that let the side down was the price of their desserts - see receipt attached. We were told the dessert options verbally, so didn't know their prices, but didn't expect £7.50 for the tiniest piece of ice cream and £8.50 for a sticky toffee pudding. Back to the positives, location is lovely and there is some parking behind the building, plus additional slightly further up the lane. Will definitely return, but will get desserts elsewhere.

Came for Mothers Day lunch, could not fault it! Food was lovely and staff were friendly and professional. Would 100% recommend! Very reasonably priced as well.

I can honestly say I haven't been to a friendlier pub in ages. Right from the start the welcome was warm and friendly. We stayed for food which was lovely. The food came out hot and in good time with a lovely lady who couldn't be more helpful. What a gem of a pub with a great choice of ales and food with an added bonus of a pork scratchings machine which I took full advantage of.

Atmospheric pub from the past with great views of St.Austell Bay. A freehouse Inn with good selection of real ales & ciders. A varied range of dishes to suit all needs catered for, complemented by friendly staff throughout.

Had a really good time here. Nice variety of local ales, lagers and ciders on tap. Really good food and friendly vibes.

Our go to pub on the beach but mind the track down as it gets very busy in the summer months.

It was our first visit with friends who visit regularly, we loved it. Proper Ale and amazing food. very knowledgeable staff. We will return.

Good beer good food great location

Popped into this pub whilst walking SWCP. In at 11.50am. Pub is on an excellent location and very inviting. Unfortunately for us we were served by a disinterested male barman who made us the worst coffees we have had in Cornwall. Coffees were over extracted giving a burnt taste and cold. That was our experience today 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great pub. Fabulous music for an afternoon of cheesy chips, cards and beers! I had the red IPA and the Hella. A really good range of beers. The staff were friendly and engaging. We will be back! Thank you

What a great pub! Positioned on the beach the view is amazing annd Thommo and Brad…. The 2 guys looking after us all were first class. They embodied what great hospitality is all about … First be kind… then be Helpful. The food was delicious with the best mussels we have ever had anywhere. Definitely worth a visit.

An impromptu Sunday lunch at the pub. We arrived early and booked a table the same day, sat outside in the glorious sunshine and were served by a lovely lady. Within about an hour though, it got very busy indeed and unless you had a reservation they had stopped serving food. The roast was the best I’ve had from a pub in a very long time. Rainbow colours on my plate and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended

The best Sunday Roast I ever had in Cornwall. Great local drinks too (Mena Dhu Stout). Excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Very unsatisfactory visit. Looking forward to a late lunch after a great walk. Not sure how it takes over an hour to prepare toasted sandwiches & sides, so gave up at that point & left hungry & with plans for the rest of the day messed up. Not the end of the world but a very disappointing experience. 1* for food is therefore generous as we didn't actually get any! Service was "polite" but being told food was 5 mins away several times was clearly not the case. Perhaps a more upfront approach & explanation of the situation might have helped resolve things, and or given us the option to cancel & go elsewhere earlier.

Basically the coolest pub in Cornwall! Not too busy, good food, better view. Easy parking aswell.

Nice setting and location. Nice patio area but a bit too windy on our visit to eat outside. Service okay - casual friendly manner and tips are forced by payment machine. We saw another customer being ignored for a good while. Carry tray with cutlery, bottles of ketchup, etc, on each table, but these are not topped up. Order and pay at the bar so little service to speak of. Not a great range of food unless you're after the usual burgers and fish & chips. We had mussels and ham, egg & chips. Both nice but not especially good and quite pricey. Music awful - worst of the 80s album playing. Not at all suited to clientele. Most custom probably locals/ beach visitors as a lot of snack options. Beer was good.

Have never felt so uncomfortable in a pub in Cornwall. Staff not interested in clients and hoovering and bleaching the floor around you at 9pm. Staff and friends playing bar games which involved banging into our friends whilst we were eating dinner. Used to be a great pub and such a great location. Shame it's gone downhill.

Good food, great service. Beautiful position almost on the beach.

What a disappointment... We Went here last year & the food was excellent, this time my wife had the steak cabbata sandwich like last year, however the steak was chewy & the cabbata was hard! Served with heaps of lettuce and 8 crisps. I had crab salad, and the crab tasted of too much vinegar, salad was more heaps of lettuce with an egg, one tomato and capers, which overpowered the taste of the crab. The ale was very good 👍

Very disappointed by our visit to the Rasleigh Inn. We have visited this pub on multiple occasions and we guess it has changed hands since we last visited. We were met with a very limited selection of food on the menu. The food was generally ok, but over priced for what it was. The chilli was very bland with little spice/seasoning. My boyfriend was informed to order the smaller mussels portion for one person but he received mussels which were not even open, so he could not eat them. Very disappointing as this used to be such a great pub experience. Now it is a poor standard of food, the staff are rude and not particularly wanting to help.

Amazing place tucked away in a cove

Location is great. The pub is great. Staff are lovely. The food was nice but not worth the price tag. We both got a sandwich - the steak ciabatta (£15) and the crab sandwich (£17) - they came with lettuce (which was dressed nicely) and a handful of crisps (which were a little soft). I would go for a proper, full meal option next time as I think that's perhaps more bang for your buck. So we spent nearly £40 in total just for a drink and sandwich each. I guess you're also paying for the location? But yeh get a proper meal :)
