Historically haven’t been able to find a decent Indian restaurant while on holiday, but that’s in the past and history can’t be changed. Visited friends from Kent (locals, so born and bred there) who booked this restaurant while we were visiting and what a gem. The menu was extensive and contained various Asian cuisines. The starters were enormous and very good, main courses adequate size. I had onion bhajis which were not greasy and really crisp, my Madras was one of the nicest I’ve had and the naans were excellent. I have to say the restaurant was clean, the staff very friendly and the food didn’t disappoint. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Rannah Indian restaurant and takeaway in Sidcup. We have ordered a takeaway from Rannah over the last three weeks. Initially we gave them the benifit of the doubt. But will not use them again. Week 1, food was late and cold. Week 2, delivered on time but the chicken hard and chewy which indicated it was not cooked properly. Week 3, item missing from order and the food was cold. The missing item was delivered 40 minutes later. There are plenty of restaurants around, we will not use Rannah again.

Fantastic meal as always . Had a meal here last night to celebrate my mother’s birthday . Great value Sunday banquet deal and my husband said his lamb tikka sag was the best he has ever tasted and believe me he has eaten in lots of Indian restaurants in his life .

Been here a number of times and all previous times have been very pleasant and happy with. However last visit has been shambolic. Arrived to find out there was no alcohol ( which for us was no problem as wasn’t drinking ) and we got told if we did want alcohol would have to go next door to the Conner shop!. Had to order our drinks twice before they eventually came. No COVID rules applied at all ( no social 2m rules, menus not cleaned , plates were filthy underneath and had fingerprints on , menus not clean). Some food on the menu wasn’t available. Food finally arrived 1hour and 45 minutes after ordering with dishes served at all different times ( plates and some food was cold ). The food when it did arrive wasn’t the quality up to standards and not like we have had before. Overall not happy with this experience which is sad because the number of other times coming here have been very good and would of recommended.

Hot, stuffy restaurant rammed with people on Wednesday - no social distancing, tables close together, tables did not appear to be cleaned between sittings, menus not sanitised, no hand sanitiser offered, no contact details asked for. At one point the tables were all pushed together down one side in order to accommodate a very large party of around 30 men, all cheek by jowl and shouting at the top of their voices... Whilst some restaurants have really made an effort to make their establishments as safe as possible, this place seems to feel that the regulations don't apply to them. Pack them in and pile them high, never mind the virus!

Unless you spend a lot of money! After being customers of Rannah/ was Rischta, for years we decided not to give them our custom anymore. The manager who used to be a very pleasant waiter is now only interested in bigger parties who spend a lot on drink. We don't have huge appetites so didn't spend more than £25/30 a visit. One drink each is enough for us. The last few times he did not even acknowledge us, was too busy fawning over the big drinkers. Then the last visit he was rude to us! He must of forgotten the very large family party we bring in each Christmas. We go to the delightful Sweet Lemon now just down the rd.

Ordered for the first time and totally impressed. Delicious fresh flavour. Fast delivery and good price. Perfect onion bhaji, amazing chicken tikka pathia, fantastic tandoori king prawn starter! Wish we’d ordered from them years ago. We will be back!

Staff friendly, food superb and decent value. Good for families or couples. The mixed grill is superb and they don't hold back on the meat in their curry like so many others seem to these days. Tender chicken and lamb every time washed down with a cold Cobra. Highly recommended

This restaurant is literally at the end of my road and is an absolute gem, the food is always fantastic and fresh and all the staff are so polite and helpful. They recently let me take over their restaurant for a fundraising quiz and were happy to accommodate over 40 of us ensuring everyone was well fed and 'watered' and looked after. They could not do enough for us and the food was cooked to order, hot, fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend this place. The only negative I have is why do I not frequent it more !!!

My Nan & I came here on a Wednesday evening and to our surprise they have a special offer on Wednesdays (see photo) £10.95 for FIVE COURSES! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and did not rush us at all. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Bombay Aloo and Onion Bajis and it was all so delicious- only negative point is I wish there was a couple extra bits or chicken in the curry. This is a restaurant that is suitable for everyone and there is parking on both side roads and in the pub car park - would definitely recommend!

I went here with my family tonight (Tuesday) and despite us being the only people there until a little later on, we had a lovely evening. The waiter was so polite and personable, and very smiley. The food and drink were very reasonably priced, with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at £16! Plenty of options for food which are well described for those unfamiliar with Indian dishes. The food was of high quality and very tasty. They left us with a box of chocolates alongside our bill which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend this place! Even better that we had a discount through the tastecard.

The Wednesday banquet is great value at £10.95 for adults and £6.95 kids. To eat a starter, main, side, rice, naan for one person is not easy but I always manage it! One thing that is annoying is it is not clear what you can order under the offer and what's counts as a 'special' (adds £2.95 to price). Either way it is amazing value and the food is usually very nice. Service is friendly and they seem to have quite a few regular customers including those who pick up take aways which is a good sign in my eyes. I recommend the Madrass here

Had been told by friends how good this place was. So last night we picked them up and went to Rannah. Hadn't booked but had a nice round table in the window. We had the buffet menu which was excellent but too much for us to eat. Next time I will just order what I really need. Food was all very good. Merlot wine was also very good. I had the chicken Korai for the main course and can recommend this if you don't like creamy foods or too hot spices. The ambience and decor of this place is also really good.

First visit here for a sit down meal, though have enjoyed plenty of take-a-ways. First class & very friendly service. Food was great, excellent choice & very fresh ingredients. Was a Friday evening & became busy from 7.30 onwards, noticed a lot of the clientele were regular patrons which is always reassuring of the quality & repeat custom, will definitely be returning 10/10

Nice decor, friendly welcome. The new menu is more sophisticated than the previous one - not just in appearance - and includes some interesting fish dishes which I think suit 21st century tastes very well. Also butternut squash (in Lau Gata) which thrives in this culinary environment!

Good menu with some interesting dishes that I’ve never seen in other Indian restaurants. Food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. There’s a lot of competition in the area but this is definitely worth a visit!

This is a great little Indian restaurant. There is alot of choice on the menu and they do some good offers like Curry Hour (3 course and drink (£10) and the banquet on Wed and Sun (I think). For £11 you get a starter, side, main, naan and rice. The staff are very friendly and make an effort to make customers feel welcome. Best Indian in the area for me

We have been coming here since we moved to the area. We have tried other Indian restaurants, but think this is best one. The owner changed the name from Rishta. The food is tasty and well priced, Wednesday banquet night is idea with a good choice, starter, main, side, rice or a nan bread. Service has slowed down not sure if this has been intentionally done. Would high recommend.

We'd seen this new restaurant a month or so ago and having previously picked up a menu/flyer decided to try the Wednesday Banquet for £10.99. This involves choosing a starter, a main course, rice and a side dish from the full menu. For staters I had the Prawn Purée and my wife the garlic mushrooms. Mine was very good, hers average. Why wife had the Chicken Jalfrezi and, on the waiters recommendation, I tried the Chef's special, a North Indian chicken. Both were excellent. This is a good and worthwhile addition to the good Indian restaurants in Sidcup. The only disappointment was the final bill at £37.50 when I had a Cobra and my wife a glass of wine. £6.99 for a glass of wine? We would still return though.

With our daughters out my wife and I decided to try somewhere new to eat. Despite arriving at 6.30 and being the first ones there our food took well over an hour to be served. In the meantime we were served poppadoms and some very average and unappealing looking sauces. The mains finally arrived with the rice, side dishes and nan breads all being served in cereal bowls. The overall taste was as bland as the presentation.

Visited here for the first time on a Friday night with a group of 4 friends. We reserved a table and from the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. Freshly prepared, nothing luminous! Good wine list. I would definitely visit again. It is quite a small restaurant so if you are planning on visiting with a group I would recommend booking in advance.

I have to say I really enjoy this restaurant. I have never had take away from there so cant comment on that but sit in is superb. The banquet meal is great value and although portions aren't massive you come out feeling full and not with that bloaty aftertaste as with most curry houses. Keep it up

In fact that doesn't really do it justice. This used to be called the Rishta and has recently changed its name. Over the years we have enjoyed many a good meal at the Rishta - both sit down and take away.

The restaurant is great from the outside, however inside is beyond gloomy as there’s not many people. Very dissatisfied as it does not feel lively… 🙁
