Ram's in Brent

Writing this review a bit late but I have to say this is a fantastic restaurant, amazing food and even more so wonderful staff. We went there a few weeks ago for my brother in laws 80th birthday for the Sunday buffet. From entering the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and they ensured that all our dietary requirements were met. The choice of food was wonderful and the warm nans and puri's were being served constantly. All the family members had nothing but praise for the food and staff. Being from Surrey we had not been here before but would definitely come back and recommend it to our extended family and friends. A big thank you to Mika and all her staff. You have a wonderful pure vegetarian restaurant.

Nice selection of buffet lunch. There were spring vegetables and kachoris which were very tasty and fresh. Food was good although we had to find paneer in the thick gravy. They could put more paneer. Shrikhand was lovely. They could do with new seats on the side where we were seated as they were ripped by the buffet. Service was good.

I came to the ram restaurant today I never had gujju food in London like this restaurant must visit

We ordered take away - 2 thali, 1 chilli paneer and 1 veg biryani. The order was placed in the afternoon so it was way before the evening weekend rush. The lady on the phone was difficult to talk to, its as if she was in a rush, she hardly let me finish giving my order and didn't even take my number. I specifically asked her to give me chapati with my thali orders and not poori. The poori's they serve are always extremely oily and soggy so I never order poori. When my order arrived, we received exactly what I did not order - poori's. They were oily and soggy, so off putting. I opened the rest of the order to find that the shrikhand had gone off. It was sour and smelled really bad, and that to both pots which I had to discard. For those of you who don't know, shrikhand is made from hung yogurt and therefore needs to be handled with care, ensuring its refrigerated at all times to prevent it from going off. The chutney's were half opened and had spilled all in the bag so were useless to consume. The curry's were not up to standard. We use to receive currys which were cooked well but now you get a pot full of sauce with 2-3 pieces of paneer or veg. I clled them up and while they were apologetic and did send replacements but it was too late, we had already given up on most of the food and were left dihearted and hungry. I really wont bother ordering from this restaurant again. Please be careful when ordering from this restaurant, the quality standards and services have really really declined over the years.

On a visit to Kenton we decided to have lunch at Ram’s which had been recommended to us for a vegetarian thali. It isn’t actually a thali, it is a small buffet comprising all the dishes you would normally be served with in a thali. We tasted everything, and then had a bit more of our favourite dishes, but all the food was remarkably good, very fresh and nicely spiced. We loved the two desserts, very yummy, and also enjoyed the mango lassis. The place is modern and clean, with the neon lighting maybe a little garish for my taste, but that didn’t distract us from the excellent food. The staff was friendly and accommodating, prices reasonable. We’d certainly go back.

Good choices of food, efficient service, BUT not happy with very loud background music. Music ought to be relaxing, soothing and suitable for this restaurant . Food not labelled and warning for all allergies should be displayed. Lack of space nearer the food servers area. A very fine family lunch place to celebrate , Rams allowed decorations for the anniversary. Booking and confirmation was processed well plus credit confirmation . Very disappointed with the buffet. Although the starters were spicy, the mains were too sweet. They ask you to wait 10 min for any bread order, however they took double this time. In addition to which, they had run out of rotis!!! They need more staff too.. not as attentive as they could be.

Never ever try lentils from Thai place … it’s rubbish …. It’s sweet in taste … wt the hell like seriously 😒

Enjoyed a lovely meal with great service and hosted by Mr Raju Shah. Food was excellent and staff were attentive and polite. Highly recommended for a pure vegetarian meal. Also nice bonus if you drink as restaurant is fully licensed. Keep up the good work!

Booked Ram’s for 50 family and friends, first time fir me to visit so was anxious. There was no need, the staff were brilliant, excellent hosts and looked after all our guests. The food was so good, which was doubly confirmed when people were going for 2nd and 3rd helping at the buffet. Really fresh, hot of the plate.

My initial reaction to getting assigned to check this vegiterian restaurant was"Great" at last veggie food to try after a long spell of visiting other non-veggie places. I ordered few starters and main course and a glass of water. While waiting for the food to come,the waiter came and left tissues and cutlery of which were dirty and table was not clean either. I request another table but he came with a spray started to clean with an attitude. From the position I was seated,I could clearly make out that all food was placed in a microwave to heat it up then straight onto the plate. The only thing which I think was fresh was the dosa of which was very nice but heating food up in a microwave can only mean one thing and that it was out of a freezer. Not what I expected but left in a hurry as micro food is a no no for me. -2 points

Brilliant vegetarian food. The buffet is amazing value at £12 per head and included 3 sweets (gulab jambun, gajar halva and Shrikhand). Best Undhiya outside Gujarat that I have eaten. Me and my wife loved the taste, not too much oil, just the right amount of spice. If you love Gujarati food, this is a perfect place. Sainsbury nearby offers 3hr free parking. Mr Nishant Shah was also very nice to us and the staff was very good and called upon us to inquire whether everything was good. I was so impressed that I implored Mr Shah to open a branch in Didcot where such amazing Western Indian vegetarian food would be appreciated by many Indians.

We order online from here regularly and the food is great. Made a mistake on our UberEats order today and the staff were very helpful and solved the problem quickly.

Visited Ram's Kenton Road, Kenton, last night, brilliant food. Ordered scrambled Dahl, yes that is right scrambled dhal, a very interesting dish with great flavour. First time eating kichi, lovely amazing delicacy of Surat right here in London. Learnt so much about Surat because of the Surti speciality dishes. Thank you to the staff who explained all the flavours.

No table cloths , feels like a school dinner room . So not a restaurant to dine but the food was good for vegetarians and it was packed with the local community by 7pm . Service was a little slow but understandable due to the volume of people that filled the room soon after we arrived . Definitely a good experience of authentic Indian food .

Ram’s has been a great find for us, we have tried the local restaurants in our area as my dad is allergic to most takeaway food, we don’t eat our very much. We saw Ram’s on the drive to the large Sainsbury’s and decided to stop and try it out... let’s say we found a new go to place for the family, a large seating space and a lovely front of house person Neeraj who took time to go through the menu and recommend dishes. The food is tasty and they have a lovely lunch time buffet spread, for anyone with allergies I suggest you try this place out you might find it works for you. Will definitely be visiting again

This wonderful Gujarati Vegetarian restaurant serves an all you can eat buffet with a fabulous array of food.including a selection of starters, and curries, padadoms and rice and they bring you freshly made pooris to your table. Recommended for anyone on a budget or anyone who appreciates very fine Indian vegetarian food from this famously food obsessed region of India. If you haven't tried the sweet dhal, you haven't tasted anything.

Harrow has a range of vegetarian options for those who love spice - and RAMS was the best of them back in the day.

This time I had couple of European friends at rams restaurant and they were So Pleased with the quality and taste of the food,they were of the opinion that if they get similar food in their country than they don't mind becoming vegetarians !!

Whenever we need to take guests who are vegetarian we select Ram restaurant in Kenton because they have a great variety and will make food as per your choice. Ram,s Mithi Roti with plenty Ghee is superb.

I go to Rams regularly and on most nights the atmosphere is busy and lively.

I have been to ram's for one of my occasion last month, as i m indian i love indian food and joints... I had high expectations from rams, I was hoping to try there thali but unfortunately due to an event at there restaurant they refused to cater to my request. I ordered jeera rice, dal and snacks.... it was nice but i have been to other places in UK i found they can do better.

Food was incredible, service was wonderful, we were welcomed immediately and seated. Parents had the buffet which was fantastic, they said everything tasted fresh - it couldn't be faulted. I had some of the chaat items which were brilliant, couldn't be more pleased and this was well worth the long drive!

The latest cultural appropriation of becoming vegan and vegetarian with complementary concerns for the environment and saving the planet are known to Indians with any knowledge of a 10,000 year history going back to the Vedas. It's great to see recycling of belief such as Ahimsa or non-violence take some root in apparently 9% of the UK vegans and vegetarians but please don't think it's new - it's Indian!

Ordered bhel for takeaway but disappointed that it was all premixed which met that by the time it was consumed at home it had lost its Crouch and flavour. This is not the norm when ordering from other places. I would suggest requesting that if you oder this dish you ask them to keep it all separate.

Wow. Haven’t been for a few months and I have missed Rams. How could we forget how fabulous the food is? It can only be 5 star ⭐️.... love it every time. Thank you xx
